Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Chesterfield. Chesterfield is a market town and borough in Derbyshire, England. It lies 24 miles (39 km) north of Derby and 11 miles (18 km) south of Sheffield at the confluence of the rivers Rother and Hipper. Including Whittington, Brimington and Staveley it had a population of about 103,800 in 2011, making it the second largest town in the ceremonial county after Derby. Archaeologists trace it back to a Roman fort built in the 1st century AD, but soon abandoned. Later an Anglo-Saxon village developed. The name derives from the Old English ceaster (a Roman fort) and feld (grazing land). It has a street market of some 250 stalls three days a week. The town sits on a coalfield, which was economically important until the 1980s. Little visual evidence of mining remains. The best-known landmark is the Church of St Mary and All Saints with its crooked spire, originally built in the 14th century.

Went to Sicily for the first time last night with friends, after being hugely impressed by their sister restaurant Ciuri Ciuri. We werenât disappointed. We were met with a warm welcome from the staff, & enjoyed amazing cocktails & delicious food. Thereâs plenty of free parking & a step free entry for those with mobility issues. I would certainly recommend Sicily, & look forward to visiting again.

Lovely authentic Italian restaurant. Garlic bread we shared was delicious and the mains of spaghetti bol, spaghetti carbonara and seafood canalonni were excellent. Our granddaughter had a huge desert of homemade profiteroles which were fantastic. Very warm host/chef. We will be back.

Authentic Italian Restaurant located in the buzzing, vibrant area of St Mary's Gate, Find us on the mezzanine above All saints tap just down from the famous Crooked Spire Church, Half price pizza and pasta all day Sunday, and from 5 monday.
We stopped over in Chesterfield on the way home from a holiday, we didn't realise that this restaurant is situated on top of a pub, this is not very clear from the outside! We went upstairs and waited for a member of staff to appear, this took several minutes, in fact we began to think it was shut. A lovely woman seated us and took our order, we were the only people seated for the whole time we were in there, although food was taken down to the pub area. The food was really good, but I feel for the price more of the proteins should have been in the dishes, my husband had the Gamberoni and I had the Crespelle di Pollo, I think I probably had about 4 pieces of chicken and my husband had 3 prawns, although they were large. The waitress was lovely, friendly and professional.

Called in for a coffee a couple of weeks ago and had the best coffee by far. Often decaffeinated coffee can taste a bit "thin" but this was not, full flavour and good taste. The biscotti was fabulous, especially the pistachio. Then went back last week for brunch-eggs Florentine. Absolutely fantastic! So well cooked and not a small portion either. So good we went back this weekend for some more-this is going to be a hard habit to break! The evening menu looks well worth trying out.Very friendly and attentive service and good value. Nice atmosphere, has been a bit quiet when we have been there in the mornings but has been busy in the evenings so would recommend booking in advance.

The food here is always lovely and it is a real bargain on Sundays & Mondays with half price pizza and pasta. However, the service on Sundays always seems to be slow. The food arrives quickly and is lovely but the ordering and waiting for waitresses takes a long time. In the end we had to remind someone about our jug of water (no big deal) and we actually went to the front to pay as it was going on half an hour wait to get the bill. It needs to become more efficient but the food is excellent.

"Deliciously Derbyshire." Being proud of Derbyshire we use the finest locally sourced ingredients to create delicious food. Visitors to the Tickled Trout in Barlow are guaranteed a warm welcome, relaxed surroundings and a great choice of top-notch food. I
Visited the Tickled Trout as part of a large party. From the outset the staff were very friendly and personable and coped without difficulty in serving all our group on time with delicious food. Food has an Italian influence and is imaginative, flavoursome and utilises local and British produce. I had the Tickled Trout main course which was particularly tasty. As Iâm not from the area, I stayed overnight in the Little Trout cottage which is next door and run by the owners. Lovely place, tastefully decorated, clean and warm with thoughtful touches.Would thoroughly recommend.Thank you for writing such a great review for us! I am pleased you enjoyed staying and dining with us, it is handy having accommodation next door! I hope if you are in the area again you will call in and see usBest wishesChris

RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR, Proud and honoured to win Chesterfields restaurant of the year, We opened in 2002 moving from Naples and we have been doing our thing ever since! NEW 40 seat cosy bar area added for celebrations and pre and post meal drinks, superf
Fantastic food, great service. Choices are great and allergies are well accommodated. Kids menu is very good though itâs a standard kid size and no toddler option. (Big enough for 2 toddlers to share). The red house wine is better than expected, very smooth and full bodied, so definitely donât think itâs better to go for branded bottles. The hostâs singing was an added bonus accompanied by a special treat for my little birthday boy. This restaurant is going in my top ten.Thank you so much for your lovely review of our restaurant. I'm so happy your little boy enjoyed his birthday at Lombardi's. I hope you will be back to visit us soon

Italian/Sicilian restaurant open since 2017 run by a family from Palermo. Ciuri Ciuri Is the only restaurant in Chesterfield where people can try some of Sicilian specialities dishes.
How this place gained the No 1 Italian restaurant in town has to be a mystery that would baffle Columbo. We decided to celebrate our anniversary with dinner here. it was mid week and we booked an early meal 6.30pm. When we entered the restaurant we were shocked by the heat in the room. It was like a Turkish bath. We sat down and I had to take my jacket off. My shirt was already sticking to me, When the waiter came I asked him to turn the heat down. He replied "I wish". I was ready to walk at this point. I told him to open the front door and prop it open. He did this and the heat lowered to a point where it was bearable. We ordered mixed ante pasta which included arancini which to my best knowledge are little bite sized risotto balls wrapped round mozarella, crumbed and deep fried. What we were served was one deep fried cricket ball sized arancini that was burnt on the outside and cold on the inside, the other antepasto items were equally unimpressive. For mains I chose the scallopini vitello, veal cutlets in a mushroom and marsala sauce. The veal was shockingly tough and the sauce was bland to the point of being without seasoning. This was sheer amateurism. Whoever was cooking the night we visited is simply not good enough. Thanks for spending your time to writing a review to us.I'm really sorry to read that you had a not very good experience with us.To be honest I'm quite surprised how you described my restaurant. to say that our restaurant looks like a Turkish bath is somewhat exaggerated. Some days our restaurant can result a bit more warm then usual but definitely not at that point. due to warm weather we have always kept the heating systems switched off until today. About the arancini we always make sure it's served hot enough, if yours wasn't, I apologize for that and I can promise we will be more attentive before serving. About the veal, I was surprised again, because in that case i cooked the veal and I can 100% confirm that all my dish are well seasoned. You said also it was tough, unfortunately it can happen, but we served this week almost 20 portions and no-one complaint. We use the same quality of veal for almost a year.
