Situated in the village of Foresta/Forst only a few kilometers from Merano and a few steps from the FORST brewery, our restaurant has two dining options to offer its patrons: the gourmet restaurant Luisl Stube and the Schlosswirt restaurant. Within these
A beautifully restored restaurant with quality furnishings. Not a very large menu but most dishes were of good quality and size. Excellent friendly and attentive service. The speed with which orders were processed by the kitchen suggests that much food is pre-prepared but this was not apparent in the quality and tasteDear Mr. David Y,many thanks for your review and shared thoughts about our restaurant Schlosswirt Forst, we are happy that you enjoyed your meal. Our kitchen team is certainly well-prepared and very speedy, albeit most of our dishes are prepared à la minute. We would be happy to welcome you soon again!

I was so happy to hear that this place offers also gluten free pizzas .... wrong as they do not offer them anymore ... shameWe ordered chips, pizza, pumpkin soup and fresh salad, wine and beer.1. Pizza was good, nothing excellent but just ok a good pizza.2. Pumpkin soup: In the card they offer zuchini and pumpkin soup, I asked the waitress for recommendation ... she was annoyed and said eat pumpkin ... so we did. The soup was with no taste at all, I had impression that the pumpkin was not ready cooked but mixed / it did taste more like raw pumpkin or potato. I ate 3 spoons.3. Salad - the card menu claims that they offer fresh ingredients, the more was a disappointment when I got clean salad with corn out of a tin.4. Beer - the glass was full in 70% / no go at all, we told the waiter that the glass is not full this might happen, he tried to explain that the foam of the beer will fall and beer will go up ....5. Wine ... red wine was served very cold, so cold that the glass was water sweating .... well I could imagine how good this wine could have been when properly servedShame but we will not come back.

Location in Lana di Sopra through Cermes, at the ground level of a little block of flats. Forno a legna. A good choice of tasty pizza. Quick and prompt service. The beer is expensive. Close wednesday.

This cute 'Gasthaus' is worth visiting whilst you're in the area (e.g. maybe taking a hike from Cermes to the castle 'Schloss Lebenberg'). It offers a fantastic view from the garden patio, where you can have some local/regional wine (they produce & sell wine as well) and a little snack (hot or cold). Very uncomplicated !Dear Don Pedro, thank you for your nice and positive comment. We are very pleased to hear, that you enjoyed it.We look forward to your return.Greetings from South TyrolTeam Haidenhof

Hidalgo, with more than 40 years of tradition, is never tired of offering something new: in the new ârestaurant in the restaurantâ, the Hidalgo Beef Tasting japanese-mediterranean style, you will be able to sample Kobe Beef and Wagyu from Japan, as well a
An unusual find in Suedtirol: US and Argentinian beef. The owner's passion for his product can be felt in every aspect of this restaurant. Very nice, well priced wine list, excellent service, good size steaks and the "special" grill. If you need a change from pizza and pasta, then don't miss this place!

Now quite difficult to fine one place popular prices and have good qualities. This place its one of some left. Noisy, nearrow, not romantic, serving like " I don't care", but qualities of foods will make you forgot all, more after look in to the bill, you can wear sunglass, look cool and say "I will be back".

We have been to Merano many times, always during Autumn. We visited Lalessandra many times, food way always great and the location nice and tradional (a classical Italian Fish Restaurant, with the owner going around and giving advices about what to eat and to drink). We have been there now again some days ago, and: the food war terrible, and the owner very unfriedly. Needless to say that this was a bad surprise. Won't go there anymore for sure!

This was the second time I ate at this restaurant. The pizza was again very good - thin crust and plenty of toppings. Book the Stube, which is much nicer than the main restaurant. I understand that meat dishes are very good too. Reasonably priced

At OW Lana a cosy atmosphere can be experienced, whatever the season, dining in either of our main restaurant rooms. One decorated with contemporary art by established and well known artists, exhibited on rotation, with windows opening onto the garden ter
We had seen reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to make a reservation. The restaurant itself is very appealing and beautifully decorated. The service from the seating to the check was outstanding. Without being obtrusive our waitress was there to give more water, bread and even more ice without ever asking. The owner dropped by to make sure all was to our liking. The food was well prepared with fresh and locally grown vegetables. The pasta was cooked just right, the specials were unusual combinations, but perfect to the taste. Our party has risotto, lasagna and shrimp. Every dish was exception. Each table is decorate with a basket of fruit. The owner brought us some cherries as well. We were offered an after dinner drink but passed on dessert(too full). I guarantee you will not be disappointed..

I took my parents there for their 56th wedding anniversary. The restaurant is very nice (I would avoid eating in the "stube"), very typical Tyrolean. The service was extraordinary and the food exceptional. I actually found it difficult to choose just one starter, one main course and one desert. The wine recommended was perfect and it was one of the more reasonably priced one. Book well in advance
