Came here latish after our hosts recommended it to us. The restaurant was almost empty but the atmosphere was still nice. A silent but efficient crew of waiter & cook served us a simple but delicious food: seared polenta topped with succulent mushrooms seasoned with garlic & herbs and then two different pork dishes: butter & lemon and balsamico. Succulent again. They served a delicious thin and warm pizza-bread on the side, dusted with olive oil, salt&pepper. Really very good.

Typical traditional and genuine homemade cuisine with Tuscan-Emilian traditional dishes. Very small homemade tortellini, excellent with both Ragù sauce or broth. Very good Tagliatelle with fresh mushrooms too. My favorite dessert is Zuppa Inglese. I've never tasted pizza. Good prices.

Ottimo locale in cui passare anche solo per un caffè o un ghiacciolo. Se si passa una giornata al torrente setta è comodo da raggiungere in pochi minuti di auto. Personale gentile e alla mano. Consigliato!

I've been to this restaurant once or twice while touring the area and it is a fairly typical local Italian restaurant. Nothing fancy, simple regional food served in ample portions. I'm not sure why, but there have been flies buzzing around the tables during my visits - probably just because of the location by a lake rather than anything else - but it is annoying being buzzed at the whole time by a squadron of houseflies. Food-wise most things are simple with plenty of pasta and meat. I would not have the pollo frito again as it contained numerous small bones inside the batter which was a nasty surprise when taking a bite. The ribollita is good, as is the tortellone burrata. Overall OK, just go with realistic expectations.

Fun little joint in a little medieval village. With a friend I was wandering around the streets on the hills between Firenze and Bologna, hoping to find somewhere delicious where to get a bite. We randomly stopped in the beautiful piazza in Castiglione dei Pepoli and spotted the Bottega Palazzina. It seemed worth it from the reviews I could find online... definitely exceeded any expectation. We started with a black kale sort of flan, delicious! Black berries tagliolini with pork ragu' and ricotta stuffed tortelli with wild boar sauce were our choices for the pasta, I was too hungry and at the sight of this amazing homemade pastas, I couldn't waste time taking pictures. We let the chef choose for us, he gained our trust at that point. Tagliata di petto d'anatra, sliced duck breast (wow!), and roasted pork tenderloin, I cannot say witch one was my favorite, both were perfectly cooked and presented (there's a picture of that!). Sides: the most beautiful roasted onion I've ever seen and pan fried potatoes. Desert was a braised pear in red wine with a cinnamon gelato...mmmmm. Everything was perfectly complemented by an amazing bottle of Amarone for a really reasonable price. The owner, Giotto, offered us a really good "not too sweet" wine, and to finish I couldn't say no to a Brunello di Montalcino grappa.Grazie.

An old barn has been transformed into a charming farmhouse in the Tuscan-Emilian halfway between Bologna and Florence, just 5 minutes from the motorway exit of Roncobilaccio and 10 minutes from the Pian want. You can taste typical local dishes, meat from
We had decided to drive from, il Mugello in Tuscany, to Baragazza, for luncheon, and on the off chance- we had not phoned to make a booking- decided to venture upon this quaint agriturismo.Notwithstanding the fact that they were fully booked, the sweet young lady-daughter of the owners- did not turn us away, but accommodated us upstairs, and promptly made us feel totally welcome, and at home, bringing us appetizer's straight away, and constantly popping in to check on us. The set menu, was fantastic, anti pasti, and two wonderfully rich and delicious home made Bolognese dishes, followed by 2 'secondi' meat dishes, the last being roast beef, deliciously thinly sliced and served cold, which was to die for.I recommend phoning in advance to make a reservation, as the food is sublime, and will certainly whet any gastronomic appetite with awesome flavourDear HillDavid_13,thank you very much for your review.A warm greeting

Hidden away on a dusty back road, this restaurant deliver great regional dishes in a very pretty setting. Porcini fritti, zuppa verdure, pasta with ovuli mushrooms, tortellini in brodo - all very tasty, served quickly and in decent portions. The wines were also very drinkable and the service quick and helpful. In the area this is a great choice, and offers a fine view from the terrace tables as well. Will dine here again in the future. Only weak point is the bread offered, which could have been something more interesting like sciaccata instead of simple white bread.
