We went at O'Pignatiello in Castellammare di Stabia by chance and we discovered an excellent trattoria. Close to the city center, the location is nice and cozy. The personnel is kind and warmly serves you, always smiling. But the real positive aspect is the food. We tasted the deliciously fresh octopus salad, the seafood spaghetti and the unforgettable swordfish. The house wine was superb and the cherry cheesecake was above any expectation

Fresh lobster fresh fish excellent service reasonably priced. We had a couple antipasti with fresh Mozzarella grilled vegetables and Salata verde all were greatFor secundi we had lobster risotto I actually got to see the waiters pulling the lobster out of the water bring him to my table for confirmation and then it was served in s beautiful battery risottoFor Primi we had a beautiful fresh Sea Bas about 3 lb. grilled with some olive oil it was great. One little story about this town, I found a place to park but didnât have coins for the meter. As I walk in I asked if they can help me with coins and they said absolutely. A local couple who just getting ready to leave after they finished dinner offered to help me with the meter. He walk with me leaving his wife to wait at the restaurant. I wasnât sure why he wanted to do that but he explained as we are walking back to the car that before you can enter the coins you have to punch in the numbers on your license plate. If you donât do that you can get the coins in. The menus is only in Italian so he thought he can save me the trouble. What a nice gesture.

Neither the manager nor his mother speak English. However, they didnât hesitate to call their niece/grand-daughter to help with the translation. And that was actually not necessary, as they composed a delicious plate with all the local specialties we pointed at. And then picked a lovely red wine for us. Why anyone prefers the nearby tourist traps with horrible pizzas (some with French fries on top !!) to this gem is a mystery to me.

We found this small restaurant almost hidden away but worth finding. The two-person staff (chef & server) were very friendly, welcoming us as if we were regulars, despite it being our first time. The food was beautifully prepared and very good fish. It's a terrific place that makes you feel you are eating at someone's home with all the personal care, yet with the flair & style of a high-end restaurant.

Traditional Neapolitan food. Made with love.
We called in here one evening, based on other reviews. We ordered a couple of pizzas and a ravioli. The owner was really welcoming, taking our order to the kitchen with a song which echoed with the fab acoustics in the building. The food came quickly and was absolutely delicious - the best pizza we had so far according to our 15 year old. The ravioli was equally tasty and a generous portion. The only minor disappointment was that there were no desserts available, despite the menu suggesting this would usually be an option. There is a gelateria and also a bakery a couple of doors down so we had to move on for our 2nd course.Overall lovely food, reasonable prices and a friendly welcome.

Went with friends and did the 5 course tasting menu with wine, all excellent based on local cooking and brilliantly explained. Their own bread is wonderful and we had a 14%glass of beer with one course which was amazing. We were the only Brits in but all staff spoke English and were very helpful. A little gem!

This restaurant is a gem and best kept secret in the area of Pompei. Everything is made from scratch or grown in their property. The fresh baked mini-breads (3-4 kinds) served along with the croquettes were delicious. We ordered a la carte instead of the prix fixe as we are not big eaters. We ordered one seafood antipasto, one vegetable antipasto (I think itâs called âproduto di mi ortoâ, which means âproduce from my gardenâ), one seafood pasta and one seafood secondi (the fried pesca). Everything was delicious. The house wine is made by the chefâs father, Luigi! The seafood is of first quality and the freshest. The fried gamberetti melts in your mouth. The produce from his garden was literally at least 6 vegetables, each one so beautifully prepared and so tasty. As much as we wanted, we couldnât eat dessert as the dishes are well served and it was too much food for 2 of us. However, we took the liqueur, which was liqueur of artichoke made by Luigi! Fantastic! My daughter had a scoop of gelato de limone and it was the best gelato Iâve ever tasted (after eating lots of them throughout Tuscany). This is a true family restaurant with genuine Italian hospitality. I think Luigi doesnât speak English, but not to worry, because there are always a way of communicating when you share the passion for good food and when you have an open mind. You can watch the chef cook through the glassed kitchen, and he will appreciate if you to stop by to say Hello. Total bill came to â¬62, which was more than fair for the quality of food. They are so fair charging the water, wine and coberto, way below many places weâve been and even at our hotel. I think the prix fixe is btw â¬30 and â¬40, depending if you want meat or seafood. This is so reasonable, I canât emphasize enough until you taste it. This is food of Michelin grade, a true gem that canât be missed if you are staying in the Pompei area.

The Blu Stone Restaurant is a gourmet restaurant overlooking a beautiful terrace on the Gulf of Naples. Here you can make a unique and unforgettable culinary experience.
We stayed in a nearby hotel for 2 weeks and ate here three times. You can expect to pay about 50 euros each for a meal with wine: but it is worth every cent. My wife, an excellent cook and confirmed vegetarian, is understandably hypercritical of many restaurants that do not meet her high standards. But she declared that the Blu Stone served the best vegetarian dishes she has ever tasted! I also eat fish and the chef here is a true artist: we ate different dishes on every occasion and were disappointed with none. The place hardly needs our recommendation as it is obviously celebrated along this coast as many local Italians who have money are regular customers. The setting in the evening - watching the sun set over the Bay of Naples - is very attractive. But it is that food that most attracts us.

Almost missed this place as it sits at the edge of the area where most of the restaurants are. The service was very attentive and friendly. We stuck to the appetizers and pasta dishes, all were very good. A bit more creativity in the preparation and presentation than at most similarly-priced restaurants we've been to in Italy, while still maintaining the flavors that make Italian food so great.Thank you so much for the review. It's great when customers appreciate the hard work of our staff. Thanks again!

We were refused our welcome drink by very unpleasant woman on till despite being told at reception that we could use our vouchers later after arriving. Suffice to say, we did not eat there again and spent our money somewhere else.
