Camarillo (/ˌkæməˈriːoʊ/ KAM-ə-REE-oh) is a city in Ventura County in the U.S. state of California. The population was 65,201 at the 2010 census, up from 57,084 at the 2000 census. The Ventura Freeway (U.S. Route 101) is the city's primary thoroughfare. Camarillo is named for Adolfo and Juan Camarillo, two of the few Californios (pre-1848 California natives of Hispanic ancestry) to preserve the city's heritage after the arrival of Anglo settlers. The railroad coast route came through in 1898 and built a station here. Adolfo Camarillo eventually employed 700 workers growing mainly lima beans. Walnuts and citrus were also grown on the ranch. Adolfo bred Camarillo White Horses in the 1920s through the 1960s and was well known for riding them, dressed in colorful Spanish attire, in parades such as the Fiesta of Santa Barbara.

Tucked away in a strip mall with a bunch of other restaurants. We wanted to go to a Camarillo restaurant that we hadn't tried before. We found it to be a cozy place with friendly staff and food like you would expect an Italian grandmother to serve in her home. The flavors were robust, the portion sizes were ample, but the prices were very reasonable. I don't remember the name of the dish, but I had a beef filled ravioli, my husband had a pasta dish with vegetables and we split a Mediterranean salad. All was very good. We took a piece of tiramisu to go. Later that night we had the tiramisu and found it to have a strong coffee flavor. Funny that neither of us like coffee, but loved the tiramisu. He is more of a connoisseur of that dessert than I am, but said it was some of the best he'd had. I expect we will be back at D'Amores soon.

Drive Thru.
We have been going to Presto Pasta ever since it opened years ago. Food is fresh and tasty. Also like the fact that all the young people working there have been well trained in proper customer service. It's always a pleasure to go there.

First time dining at this place and it didnât disappoint me. It was confusing at first because I ordered double dough so I thought it would be thick crust but itâs still thin. Then I ordered something from their menu and itâs called white mushroom - I thought I would get exactly what the description says but then they asked me what sauce, meat, cheese I want. I got so confused but asked sausage to be added but I was scared I would be asked to pay additional $$$. Anyway, this restaurant reminded me of subway where you can just point and tell them the toppings you like. I just donât know if I added a lot of meat I would get charged extra. Overall, the pizza was good but expensive. It was about $10 for a small pizza but can feed 2 people.

This is the best idea yet. Call ahead for the special of the day. Call home and have someone heat up the oven. By the time you get home with the pizza, it only takes 10-15 min, and you have dinner! The specials are 10$ for a large which feeds all 5 of us. They also have holiday specials, hearts for valentines and the like. YUMMY!

Very small restaurant. Tables too close together. Couldn't hear people at my table due to the LOUD man sitting practically in my lap at the table next to me. Service was extremely slow. One waiter for entire place. Wine wasn't great. Mixed salad was pathetically limp.. Hubby had Caesar said it was fresh. Eggplant parmegiana was basically three raw slices of eggplant with a piece of cheese in the middle with tomato sauce on top. The parmesan cheese was pre grated and didn't taste fresh and had a smell. Husbands salciccia (spaghetti with Italian sausage) was good. Mocha crunch cake was ok - still frozen.

My first time eating in the restaurant. The noise level was high. Very busy place. The salad bar was excellent. There were two employees dedicated to keeping it clean and full. It is a one pass salad bar, no refills, but a very generous sized bowl. The pizza is always good and this one was as expected. The pizza is brought to the table via gps monitoring. Beer and wine are available and self serve non alcoholic beverages. It isnât a quiet romantic Italian restaurant, but a good place to take the family for a satisfying night out.

We ate on the "patio" during Happy Hour. Their Happy Hour menu is larger than many other restaurants. We ordered: pretzels (OK), Calamari, Brushchetta (yummy), pulled pork sandwich, fish and chips (the fish was very thin), Cuban sandwich (yummy) and ribs. I definitely would return for their happy hour. As we left, we walked thru the restaurant which had live music.. it seemed a little loud for conversation.

Pizzeria Bianco Rosso is the place to get a great quality pizza full of flavor and not dripping with grease. We have yet to branch out to the other offerings...salad, sandwiches, pasta, and panino as we are so delighted with their pizzas. There are numerous pizza selections offering either red or white sauce. One favorite is the Othello with bacon, goat cheese, and carmellized onion. Yum!

This restaurant is celebrating 50 years in business for a reason, good food and service delivered in a family atmosphere. The room is old-school Italian restaurant. Not much changed in the 40 years Iâve visited Ottavioâs. Its a bit worn and dated perhaps, but for long-time Camarillans, this place is home. Think family night out or meeting a friend. The service was friendly bordering on familiar and entirely lacking in pretense. No mistakes disrupted our evening. We dined at 530 pm on a Wednesday and enjoyed a value doubleheader. The early bird specials provide decent value plus the wine was half price. We had two tasty traditional Italian meals out the door for a song. The salad was a decent size and fresh. My chicken parm was served with a generous helping of vegetables, spaghetti, and chicken. Not the best I ever had, but it was filling and satisfying. Overall, we loved Ottavioâs then, and we love it now. Donât miss this Camarillo classic.
