Overlooking the Via Bolgherese, known as the "wine road" located in the area of the San Walfredo farm, the Osteria del Tasso is born. This small restaurant, immersed in the vineyards of the Antinori family's historic Tenuta Guado al Tasso, narrates this a
This review is for the wine tasting experience and not the restaurant. The place is a beautiful location and the restaurant does look great however we called in during the afternoon for some wine tasting. Coming from Australia where wine tasting culture is very popular this was a very disappointing experience. The vineyard is in a stunning location however tasting experience was one of the poorest we have experienced. It cost my wife and I â¬15 each to sample 3 wines (equivalent to less than one glass). The bottles of wine we tasted cost â¬15 each. We hoped the cost of the tasting would be deducted if we bought a bottle but we were told not so. In affect we paid â¬30 for less than 2 glasses of wine when we could have bought 2 bottles for the same price. Bizarre. We then headed to the family run winery across the road called eucalyptus where the wine tasting was free with friendly service and large pours. Such a difference.

What we offer We have a large garden with playground, parking, a beautiful veranda in Tuscan-style overlooking the countryside, two internal dining rooms for all types of ceremonies, selected wines, typical dishes and cordiality.
Very friendly personel, extremely great food and above all the kids have plenty of space to play in a nearby playgarden. You should definitely try the sliced beaf, pasta with truffle and the cantuccini with vin santo!

My husband and I ate here one Sunday evening, we had great food and wine, 2 starters, 1 antipasti, 1 main and 2 desserts, bottle of wine and water all for 68â¬. The staff and atmosphere great, lovely place to relax and enjoy the beautiful village.

We stopped for a dinner on Sunday just before mid August as we arrived in Bolgheri and tried to book it again later during our holiday unfortunately with no luck. Hard to spot place in the mid of the countryside from a secluded road. It has several covers and a nice parking spot, you can wander around(our kids did) between olive trees. The dishes were wonderful, wine was at display for choice and we picked a blend we totally loved. Quite a large sized menu with meat and pasta being the most common thread and totally worth it! Great quality at a reasonable cost, would completely recommend it also for the nice service!!

In the Bolgherese road, also known as the "Wine road", There are many restaurants and "Agriturismi".The best I have visited are Osteria Magona and Osteria Caccia al Piano. They are similar in the outlook and food, price and quality. Both are to be tried. What are you waiting for?

We went with some friends who are local to eat at this spectacular Enoteca. Thereâs nothing fancy about it however the service is awesome and they have wines like Sassicaia available (for a nice price) by the glass. We had a mixed appetizer of pate and cured meats, then we shared homemade pasta with porcini mushroom, and a pappardelle with wild boar ragù. To be honest I ate the same thing two night in a row it was amazing. Ask for Cesare when you go heâs a really nice kid!

We heard this place was good and we were not disappointed. We stopped in for lunch and had a fantastic meal with good wine. The service and atmosphere was fantastic. We had the Wild Boar steak w/mustard sauce & potatoes and the Ravioli with Pheasant and Stilton Cream Sauce, they we two of the best dishes we had while in Italy. On the way out we met owner (Omar Barsacchi) who offered us Lemon Cellos, he was great and happy that we had stopped in.

Only handmade typical Tuscan cuisine, including dishes "Maremma Toscana", pasta with wild boar, hare, ragu "Chianina" typical Tuscan salami, local wine pouring, moderately priced. WI-FI Zone
We were a group of adults, kids and doggies and were accommodated with a smile. Lorenzo is a fantastic host and had tricks up his sleeve to make everyone happy from his delicious combination of burrato, poppone and tropea onions to special treats for crying kids. A tiny gem in one of the most picturesque piazze on the Tuscan Coast. Super Tuscan Experience!!! GRAZIE MILLE LORENZO!!!

Popular place amongst tourist and the menu is clearly tailored to this audience with some interesting non-Italian influences. If you are looking for an authentic culinary experience and typical Italian atmosphere you are probably better off elsewhere however the food and service is ok and prices are low so for a quick bite to eat this place is fine.
