Stayed in Boca Chica one week with a friend and made many bad experiences especially with the totally over-priced restaurants next to the beach. We were very happy that we found this Italian-owned place cause here you can get good quality food for reasonable prices. And all meals come with a good sauce and not only with boring ketchup. We went there every day and tried most of the meals and were always happy. So we tried the pasta, the meat and the seafood dishes. It's absolutely worth to walk the small distance from the beach and I can really recommend this place like.

This is my second review We live about 25 minutes away in Santo Domingo. There is obviously local Dominican pizza, Ole Pizza (which is pretty good for 350.00 pesos, the best cheap pizza ), Dominos and Pizza Hut. I think this spot has the best pizza around. We get the cheese pizza and ask for extra garlic on half and a side of sauce for pizza crust. The crust was perfectly crunchy and flavorful. The sauce was simple but delicious And the cheese complemented the crust and sauce. Highly recommended
Bar staff is friendly and can speak some English. Food is very good for the price, and the Mojito Lopez is the best kept secret not on the menu!

The place was recommended. Looks nice , staff friendly. The beach is too shallow for snorkeling and full of those jellyfish that attach to the bottom and only move when necessary. Indicates bad water quality. No fish to see. Good for wading and no sea urchins, but lots of detached tentacle parts from above mentioned jelly fish. Kids emerged full of stings. Not super bad, but needed a full shower with soap to stop crying.Food was OK but arrived 3 hours after ordering.

I am excited to write this review. Could not have had a better time! We came back three times, regardless of the fact the we were staying at al all-inclusive hotel. We were recommended to this great Italian restaurant called Ttratoria (Trastevere) Romano. The food is to die for. Chef Carlos prepares amazing dishes. He came out to greet us personally, taking the time to allow me to video him explaining to me exactly what he was making for us. At his recommendation, my husband had the Carbonara (2 times) and I had the Spaghetti Langosta (3 times!) The prices are beyond reasonable. Our waiter, Ricardo, treated us like family and explained each dish with such detail, you could almost taste his words. This is definitely a must go to restaurant. My and I family will be enjoying the food here again in November. Will see you soon. Hasta Pronto

El Puerco Rosado is a small casual restaurant located directly on the beach of Boca Chica. It has a long history, but since 2001 we devote ourselves energetically to the felicity of our customers. Here Italy meets the Dominican Republic. We offer both Ita
We went to this restaurant a few times during our month-long stay in Boca Chica. The first time was for lunch. My wife had the Beach Burger (a crispy fish burger with tomato, lettuce, onion rings, avocado and fries) which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had the chicken salad sandwich which was rather boring. For dinner one evening we began with an order of caprese (tomatoes, fresh mozzarella & basil). The tomatoes in this country are so fresh (not hothouse like at home). The only disappointment was they used dried as opposed to fresh basil leaves. For the mains, my wife had the fettuccini with artichokes and olives, while I had the Carbonara. Both were very good. Unfortunately they do not offer a plain Caesar salad, only with chicken, as that would have made a nice side. Another evening I had the artichoke and olive spaghetti, and my wife had the zucchini and shrimp pasta. Of the various pastas we had at this restaurant, our favourite was the zucchini and shrimp - it sounds like an odd combination but is absolutely wonderful. For our anniversary dinner we each had the mixed seafood grill with lobster, shrimp (4), octopus, squid, and red snapper. It was good but not great, with the snapper being the most tasty. In the evenings there are fewer patrons and service tends to be more efficient. Credit Cards are accepted and menu prices include the 17% DR tax and the 10% service charge. Note: as with all restaurants in DR, smoking is permitted, both indoors and outdoors.Thank you for your review! We hope to see you again when you come back to Boca Chica.

Pizza was ok, nothing special. Vegetable soup = minestrone was good too. Red wine - not a great quality. Salad caprese - tomato tasteless and cheese mozzarella I did not finish - tasted spoiled. I thought it was expensive for the quality of food - 50$, and we had only only glass of wine, one coke, one little water and above mentioned food.

Our team from our mission trip went here our last night in the DR to celebrate. We had an area right on the water and we all shared pizza. The pizza was very good. Service for a large group was also good.

The food and service were good. It was a bit pricey for what you got. The waiter burned my fondue. But it was clean enough. There was a cat in the kitchen.
