We consider "Le Giare" a non-place. It May certainly be a space created to satisfy some specific Need - quality eating or drinking for instance - but what really characterizes this restaurant is the harmonious relationship that gradually and spontaneously
Only noticed this restaurant as the large gates were open and initially only entered to look at the menu. Moments later we are seated and then realised it was Michelin listed. Initially we were brought a choice of taster starters which were very nice and a glass of sparkling wine. We then only had one main dish each although many other guests were having various. My wife's duck was excellent but my tuna was boring and almost none existent. On complaining the chef made me a local white fish dish which was excellent. Didn't charge any extra or make a fuss, dealt well with my issue. Only thing that did annnoy me, which wasn't the restaurants fault, was the amount of dushes ordered by some customers and then never eaten, what a waste of good food.

We were 8 people, after visiting for 4 days in the Bari Puglia region, where we tested every recommendation from our research and friendsâ suggestions. So on our last few hours, on our way to the airport to return the rental cars, we stopped at âIl Grottinoâ, and it was a feast. They open every day at 18:00 and close at 00:00. As we arrived at about 17:50, the owner made sure to serve us drinks and prepare 3 tables connected to each-other so we can all be seated in one place. Then the pizzas started to come to the table: zuchinni, diabolo, salami, even Nutella! There is no doubt this is the pizzagasm place on Bari. Whatever you do you MUST go here if youâre in Bari.Let me know if you liked it!

This is not a part of Bari you are likely to visit unless you live locally or are visiting somebody in the prison that is a few hundred metres away. I made a small detour and would happily do so again. It is an unconventional eatery that has a small menu that focuses on fine food: hot vegetarian dishes and cold cuts with wonderful cheeses washed down with good local wines. I will try the desserts next time. There are very few tables so booking would be wise. The high ranking on trip advisor is entirely justified. When you at fed up with the usual predictable offerings try Origini to restore your faith in high quality unpretentious pugliese food. My compliments to the owners.

I highly recommend this place. The location is breathtakingly beautiful and you can enjoy a tasty lunch at a very reasonable price (pasta is 5 euro, a little more if you want meat or seafood). I also appreciated the quality of their spritz! Worth looking for if you are in the area.

Our exclusive restaurant offers a unique atmosphere in a historic location in the heart of Bari, where tradition meets modernity. A warm place, where you can taste one of over a hundred wines on our paper or accompany lunch and dinner with a great drink o
We booked at this restaurant for a dinner with friends. We got really impressed by the fancy location, as well as by the courtesy of the staff. We tasted several appetizers and 2 different main courses. Every plate was introduced and well described by the waiter Davide. We loved every single thing we tried, it was all delicious and cooked to perfection.Don't forget to try the dessert (we particularly appreciated the "cannolo scomposto" and the "baked peach" with a smoked aftertaste which was truly amazing!)Definitely worth trying and highly recommended if you want to try genuine italian food with a classy twist.Good quality to price ratiothanks so much !!! ;-)
