Good Italian restaurant, looks authentic and the food was tasty. Nothing extraordinary in my opinion but that can depend on taste and what you order. Had a pasta with salmon and other people in our group had pizzas which were big and looked tasty. Think the owners really are Italian. On a side note, in a flemish area it's too bad they barely speak flemish.

The San Daniele restaurant in Brussels owes its name to the famous and traditional ham from San Daniele, a small village in Northeast Italy in the Friuli region between the Alps and the Adriatic. In this way the "San Daniele" Family wishes to underline th
We made reservation 1 hour before lunch. A table for 2 was still possible, and we got a very nice table in the back of the restaurant, at the window. I loved the welcoming right away. This is a no nonsense place. No unnecessary chitchat, just to the point, taking the coat, appointing a table and get informed about how things go. The 3 course lunch goes for a reasonable 60 EUR, including 1 glass of wine. Everything was perfect from starter to the dessert. For the starter and the main course, we could choose 1 out of 2 suggestions. The coffee was not top class. Nespresso if I'm not mistaken. It's ok, but a home made Lavazza would undoubtedly have tasted better. The waiters are friendly and to the point. They have an eye for detail. Supposedly, there's a parking possibilities in the neighbourhood, but you might want to inform before hand. The restaurant is situated on a big avenue, but it is very discreet. Loved the experience. Will be back.

The food was average/good, except that our meal lasted more than 3 hours!! Even if it was a 3 course service, this is unacceptable. Problem in the kitchen? Bad organization? That can happen, i would have forgiven this until i got shocked by the aggressiveness of some waitress at the bar (may be the boss? Even more serious if it was). A shame because the restaurant is clean, and has a garden, but it is the human factor and the extremely slow service that does not make me want to come back.

Friendly casual service, very tasty food, and a nice building with wraparound balcony. Food is perhaps a little overpriced for the portions, if you're looking for extreme value for money, but the portions are, thankfully, not over the top, leaving you room for drinks and dessert! Would recommend, and we will return.

Been there more than once.Pizza is always good or even very good. Other dishes I've had some mixed feelings. If it is too crowed it gets too noisy and the atmosphere is poor.Staff is friendly but a lot of them don't speak Flemish, our official regional language, which I find somewhat annoying.I would say. Go and try but if you see that it's crowed try your luck somewhere else.Ternat has at least 5 other places that are as good as this one.
Mooie vernieuwde "brasserie" stijl van het restaurant, met typische maar verbeterde Italiaanse keuken. Lekkere wijntjes en een degelijke kaart - prijs/kwaliteit. Leuk terras achteraan voor de droge dagen. Grote parking vooraan.
As good as the North End of Boston. The wood fire pizzas were truly delicious. It seems like it's family run and they take care of their customers.

I was always looking for a real italian restaurant... I mean I really wanted to eat a real fresh Italian food. This place is wonderful, the food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. We met the chef, he was so sweet and funny! A typical Italian father :-) I ate "La carellata". Just go and see it by yourself, I swear you'll not be disappointed.

We had the 3 courses lunch menu (€39,50) which left us the choice between 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts. The salmon and squid carpaccio was really delicious (very well seasoned, all tastes in balance). The scampi fritti were a bit less surprising, but very ok. Our main courses where the escalopa with eggplant and parmezan cheese with pasta and the home-made ravioli, which we both experienced as a success. We both had the home-made tiramisu as a dessert. Simple but good red house wine. It's not really cheap, but certainly worth it for what you get.
