I am pleased to welcome you to my local. In my pizza restaurant rotisserie will have the opportunity to taste the best delicacies of the Umbrian cuisine and Sicilian . If you love pizza crisper and more flavorful cuisine and genuine , my restaurant is exa
We have been in the region for two weeks and visited Mennula three times...to make a long story short: It is simply a fantastic pizza (thin, with a very nice crust) and a super friendly service!!! The restaurant garden has a charming atmosphere (of course being close to the train station you don't go there for the nice view) and the variety of pizza is enormous. They use only fresh ingredients of top quality and are quite creative with the combinations (and you can do your own if you like). Our favourites were the "Cacio e Pepe" pizza version (with the addition of salami picante) and the Buffala (with salsiccia). We can highly recommend this place and wish the owners all the best!

We have had many memorable great meals at Gianfranco's through the years. Nothing has changed, except the fact that Gianfranco's mother doesn't cook anymore. The food at Gianfranco's is honest, fresh, local, plain, and full of flavor. The pizza's are super, the pasta's are fresh and very. Antipasti are wonderful too. The portions of food are generous and prices are modest. Wine is an everyday must have, so it's priced accordingly. Gianfranco himself is practically always there. he is the host, the manager, the waiter, the barman, and whatever else he needs to be. The atmosphere is always laid back, the food is always good, and the bill always friendly. The interior of this trattoria dates back a few decades and makes you feel like time stood still. So charming.....

Quick lunch while driving from Rome to Milan. I stopped with my family. We had traditional bruschetta, pappardelle al cinghiale and others starters and pasta. But the real surprise was a wonderful grill. I had a delicious steak. Good wine and good price. We will return for sure again.

Quickly become a family favourite, this restaurant (with rooms above) is located in Villalba National Park. A small menu serving locally sourced food that is simply prepared in a traditional fashion. Generous portions, so be careful not to over order!Excellent pasta dishes (with hare sauce; truffles; garlic & chillies) etc; slow cooked boar; BBQ meat; arrosticini (lamb kebabs); and simple but delicious vegetables (roast potatoes; mixed salad; beans & fresh greens). All washed down with some good local red wine. Overseen by Addio who is very knowledgeable about the area & can suggest different walks in the vicinity.

GENERAL STUFF: A nearby Michelin starred restaurant, La Parolina, manages Monaldesca, and the result is both a budget and palate pleasing joy. LOCATION: The topmost corner of Lazio, between Trevinano, and Allerona. Set in one of the Italian state run parks, with ample parking space.CLIENTELE AND WHEN TO VISIT: Anyone is welcome, and there is no dress code.ATMOSPHERE: This has the feel of being a warm, friendly and very welcoming country hostelDECOR: Wood panelled alpine style dining rooms, with al fresco also an option. FOOD: The positive influence of the excellent management team of La Paolina here at Monaldesca is evident. A short menu, which is exquisitely cooked and presented, any diner would be delighted to have. Nice wines on offer as well. FACILITIES: Super clean bathrooms and dining area. WOULD WE RETURN? Yes.

Looking for a hideaway for a couple of days, we found the lovely situated Agriturismo Il Felcino. Very warm welcome, nice apartment with all commodities (bit of an unreliable shower, but... that's wasn't really an issue) and a wonderful restaurant on the site. Great service, family atmosphere, smiling faces... what more could one ask for. We'll definitely return!

This restaurant came recommended to us and although the risotto with pumpkin and ginger was sensational, the overall impression left us in dubio. There were certainly highlights, but with a few minor changes it could have been a better experience as a whole. We felt that the dishes could have done with a bit more veg and the 7 courses came to quick as we were served our 7 dishes in the same time as the table next to us were served 4.

On a recent three week trip to Italy, to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary, we and eight of our friends stopped for lunch at Albergo Ristorante Nuovo Castello in Torre Alfina, near Orvieto. It was FANTASTIC!Despite our large group and the later than anticipated arrival, we were warmly greeted and seated at a single long table in this delightful family owned and operated gem of a restaurant. Even though we spoke no Italian and the owner and his family staff spoke very little English, they prepared an excellent meal of the traditional country cuisine of Umbria and Northern Lazio. Every course was fresh, homemade, perfectly prepared and very delicious! The service was gracious and attentive. The location of the restaurant, in a small quaint hill town, topped by a storybook castle that is still occupied as a private residence, added to the overall delight of this restaurant and itâs top quality food. All in our group rated this meal as one of the best we had on our entire trip. We could hardly believe how reasonable the bill was for this outstanding food.I think there were three generations of the family involved in the preparation and service of our lunch. They were all extremely gracious and very passionate about their work.I would recommend Nuovo Castello in Torre Alfina as a âmust visitâ for anyone in the Orvieto and Lago di Bolsena region. And if you are traveling on the A1/E35 you will not regret making the short trip to Torre Alfina, through either Castel Giorgio or Castel Viscardo, to experience an OUTSTANDING meal at Albergo Ristorante Nuovo Castello

On our last night in Orvieto we enjoyed a beautiful meal at this lovely restaurant, in the heart of Orvieto. Friendly and helpful staff, a complimentary Prosecco to start, as well as canapes, after discussion with staff we decided on wild boar stew for my man and for me Irish beef and rosemary, served with baked potatoes, an a beautiful bottle of red local wine. All beautiful!Good helpful staff, lovely atmosphere, thoroughly recommend this classy restaurant in downtown Orvieto.
