Reviews on Italian food in Alghero, Province of Sassari, Italy. A rare year-round resort on the Island of Winds, Alghero makes an atmospheric destination. Occupying armies have all left their marks on the old, walled city; Italian kingdoms, Carthaginians, Phoenicians, Byzantines, Arabs and Catalans have all come and gone. Offering an irresistible combination of history, architecture, culture, stylish shopping, fine food and wine, and water sports, Alghero's cobblestone streets can be explored on foot or by bus. Don't miss spectacular sea cave, Neptune's Grotto.

We had dinner twice at this very lovely, friendly and tastfully restaurant. They present themselves as â like fastfood conceptâ but that doesnât deserve them well. The only link with fastfood can be that you can order yourself via filling out a list... for sure the quality of the food has nothing to do with fastfood.. !! They serve home made fresh pasta with great taste, also the salade with tomatoes and mozzarella was so tasty! Very recommendable!

Alloggi e cucina tipica sarda nel cuore della nurra di sardegna
Had a great evening here with friends. The place isn't as hard to find as many other agroturismo in Sardinia. The highlight of the meal for us was the ravioli which was just superb. The pork was also wonderful and the fresh ricotta with honey was also very good. The service was friendly and most helpful. The owner even offered to drive some of our party to Alghero when their taxi failed to show up.

Al 43 di Via Doria is a really special and romantic Restaurant. The ideal place for your special event. For your romantic dinner. Fine cuisine and an elegant setting for your important moments.
Everything was perfect...quiet room and comfortable chairs, attentive service, and food so good it was hard to converse about anything else. Great menu with fresh local ingredients. I had tenderloin with fresh truffles and a glass of local Canonau. It could not have been more delicious.

The Villasole restaurant, located within the Sa Cheya Relais & Spa resort, serves fish and meat dishes based on typical Sardinian and Alghero dishes and is characterized by authenticity and quality of the products, to enjoy healthy and calibrated cuisine
My family enjoyed a fantastic evening at Villa Sole.I chose the Fish Degustation Menu, which was delicious and good value for money.Ambiente of the restaurant is stylish, but relaxed.Service was extremely attentive and professional. Can highly recommend this place, although if you don't stay at the nearby hotel, it means a 5km drive outside Alghero.

We visited L'Anfora pub for aperitivi a couple of weeks ago. The bar is quite small but has a wide range of beers, cocktails and spirits and is located on one of Alghero's narrow cobbled streets close to some really good restaurants. There was adequate seating inside with a number of tables outside also. Service was very good with pleasant, friendly staff.

We ordered 2 pizzas, carapace of homemade, white wine and 2 tiramisus. Honestly, it's our third trip to Italy this year (previously Roma, Venice and Milano) and it was the best culinary experience ever! Pizzas were delicious, wine really great and dessert the best we have ever ate, without this strange flavour of strong vodka in sponge cake. Moreover, service was great - waiter was pleasant and hospitable. We were feeling there like in the family home. We will come back there one more time during our stay in Alghero for sure! We recommend this place because they do their best as much as it's possible.Thank you!

We visited here solely after seeing it had great reviews for its paella, and we can truly see why now. We were very lucky to even get a table when we arrived as they were fully booked, but they very kindly squeezed us in. A very lovely blue and white beach themed restaurant with plenty of seating for alfresco dining on the veranda. The seafood paella with the algherese twist of fregula pasta instead of rice, was excellent! For the â¬12 price which we couldn't believe (The cheapest we found in Alghero), we had a very generous portion, enough for almost 4 portions each, and was packed with seafood! The drinks were also reasonably priced and the homemade tiramisu was delicious. A very lovely final touch was the homemade bottle opener which we were given when paying the bill.We loved Enhorabona so much that we booked for our final evening meal in Alghero before we even left, to make sure we didn't miss out! I would really recommend this restaurant for the good quality food and very friendly staff.

For those who want to feel what the Italian spirit is all about in a typical pizzeria, this is the place. Plain, simple, itâs all about the food, a little talk and leaving in a great mood. Good pizzas, great desert and limoncellos âall finalleâ! Not expensive. Nice personnel and good service. Make sure you make a reservation before you show up.

Nice and charming place located in the old town centre of Alghero, right before the dome of Saint Michael's church. At the Prosciutteria Sant Miquel you will find the very best of the sardinian wine and food: You'll taste fanciful platters of charcuterie
One cannot go much wrong in serving Sardinian sausage, cheese, salami and wine, all the food served was very good and the host is very good at choosing the right wine. Forty euros for a platter for two plus two glasses of wine.
