We enjoyed a great salad and 2 yummy pizzas from the outdoor seating. The outdoor benches do need some work as pretty splintered. No real ambiance to outdoor seating given proximity of road and cover provided by an outdoor garage tent. Service was friendly & attentive.

Guiseppe's is a family owned and operated pizza shop that has upheld an exceptional reputation for over 50 years. We are the home of Akron's best pizza, and we have the awards to prove it! Stop out and taste what has become a staple of Akronite's diets!
This is still by far the best pizza anywhere in this area of Ohio! Grew up eating there pizza, actually as a child it was the first pizza I ever even liked, we have moved from Ohio, but one of the only things we miss is Guiseppe's pizza, other being family. If you ever want great pizza, this is the place to go!!!

I ordered my food to go online. The confirmation provided the time it would be ready for pick up. When I arrived, there were four other people waiting. I was told the time provided online does not take into account the other people waiting for carry out nor the restaurant wait time. Bad design. I waited an extra twenty minutes for my food. Fortunately I checked my order before leaving as they gave me a wrong meal. It was visually very busy and the staff was apologetic. Although it was later than expected the food was good.

Located in Akron's North Hill, an area once known a strong Italian neighbourhood, this family owned restaurant sits on the corner of a busy street. It would be easy to drive by and not think about stopping unless you knew better. They have off street parking in the back. Although we have lived in the area for 35+ years, we had never been here. We went with friends who took their kids here and it is still a big favourite of all of them. We were there late on a Monday, two of our group had the spaghetti and meatball special (I think it was $8.95) which included a salad (lettuce, sliced beets and thinly sliced tomatoes - big helping of shredded cheese was extra) and bread. I had cheese ravioli with homemade sauce. Nothing to rave about, but it was certainly good enough for what I wanted that night. I asked for balsamic dressing (on the side) I received balsamic vinegar. I had been forewarned by the waitress that it was not a vinaigrette, but wasn't expecting that. Order one of their regular dressings! My husband enjoyed his chicken pomodoro. A half split of a weak Chianti was $7.50. It accompanied the ravioli just fine. I understand there are huge crowds for their fish fries during lent. Have no t been. I would probably return.

Vaccaro's Trattoria offers innovative Italian cuisine as well as classic favorites served in a casual fine dining atmosphere. We have a stylishly appointed bar & an extensive & thoughtfully chosen wine list to complement our menu.
We ate at Vaccaro Trattoria for a birthday celebration. The waitperson was generally pleasant, but was extremely slow in taking our order. The beverages and food were slow to arrive. The main course was served with dirty salad plates still on the table. The waitperson mixed up one of the orders, so the pasta came with the wrong sauce. Another of the pasta dishes did not have sufficient sauce, so it was rather dry. The homemade cavatelli was undercooked (raw in the center). The bread that came with the meal was extremely salty and dense (so salty that no one at the table could eat it). We will not return.

Used to be good years back....But has major issues going on now. Undercooked meat! The last time I went our table of 5 people had ordered meatballs with pasta, a salmon dish, and a chicken parm. 4 out of the 5 meals had to go back! The meatballs were raw in the middle and the salmon was not cooked all the way either. This is at least the 2nd or 3rd time this has happen over the past year or two. How hard is it to cook a meatball! Management really needs to take a look at what's going out and make sure food is being cooked all the way.I had a salmon dish on a separate occasion and it came out not cooked throughly. I sent it back to be cooked more but still sent me running to the toilet soon after i ate it. The quality of their chicken has also made a dip as well over the past 5 years. I'm not making that as much of an issue because that doesn't get people sick! I had to pull a half raw meatball out of a 5 year old's mouth before he swallowed it.....unbelievable! Eater Beware!Dear Caylagoon,This review is a complete shock to us. We have been using our slow-cook, 2-hour method to thoroughly cook our meatballs for 33 years. Our fresh, Faroe Island Salmon, is cooked medium, unless specified. We take pride in all of our local purveyors to supply us with the finest quality available in our area. Our kitchen is a scratch kitchen and our staff has been here for over 20 years. They use the same recipes and methods of cooking that have been in our family for over 80 years. We are now in our fifth generation of management and a Iacomini Family member is managing the restaurant 7 days a week. Bricco provides the Downtown Akron scene with a casual, fun dining alternative. Bricco offers an extensive lunch and dinner menu, as well as a full-service bar with large beer and wine lists (over 120 selections each).
Our family has been to this Bricco location many times over the years. After our most recent visit, I felt it was time to write a review with the hope that the owner will read it. We made a reservation to celebrate a very important birthday in our family. This birthday celebration was noted in our reservation request online. When we arrived, the gentleman at the host / check-in desk didn't greet us. I'm assuming he was the owner. We've seen him here many times. He didn't say happy birthday or anything. He showed us to our booth. (Seats are wearing out with cracks and holes in them.) Our server came over a few minutes later. The server was okay, but he sure seemed poorly trained in how to provide a quality customer dining experience. He also seemed annoyed that we didn't order any alcohol, and mostly drank water. The food was okay but didn't seem to be as good as previous visits. We hope the owner will make the needed improvements to their operations, especially regarding customer service and training. NOTE: People may not remember your name, but they'll remember the way you made them feel. The ownership needs to take this to heart and train their staff accordingly. We left Bricco feeling unappreciated and underwhelmed. We might go back but it will be a long time from now.

The people were very friendly but the Italian food was just average. Salads were just iceberg lettuce and cheese versus some healthy mixed greens and additional vegetables. The lasagna and sauce were average - nothing to rave about or say must come here. We did not like the meatballs but that could be just personal preference. They were a bit hard and dry. Perhaps this is better as a pizza place??
