It is located next door to the Canadian Consulate in Acapulco
As one can see I have been a customer of this location for many years. If anything it has approved with time. I love the Italian dishes and if I have had little too much of the grape then I have pizza. All are great meals.

The best pizza cooked in a wood oven,Italian ice cream, coffee, salads, paninis, lasagna, spaghetti and more.
The best ristorante that offers pizza, gelatos, pastas, coffee and exceptional service in just one place.I almost couldn't believe the dishes, attention and flavor of every dish. It's really like having paradise in your mouth, my congratulations to the staff that the only thing they lack, is to give you the food in your mouth. :)To resume everything you've got to eat there, to visit ITALY IN ACAPULCO!

Headed here yesterday with a small group and was seated upstairs. Had to remind her first we were still waiting outside after 5 minutes when she again asked us how many lol. Well anyway now seated 8 tight on a small table wasn't working so fortunately another table of 2 was next to us open and we ask if we call slide that over so we can finally fit ok. We didn't order appetizers just the bread and oil and vinegar they offer up. I should have gotten the osso buco but just wasn't that hungry so I ordered the Carbonara which was ok but not overly impressed this time around. My wife order the pepperoni pizza that was pretty good. The kicker of the evening asking for butter they said more or less there is a fee well 80 peso for a small bowl of butter lol. Can't make that stuff up. Hola , buenas tardes. Not so sure especially you compare it with Zibu, Las Brisas, and even Si Senor (next door) what the ravings are about for this restaurant. No outside seating, food quality is not all that great and value for money is questionable. As stated not our favorite restaurant in the diamond district.

Went there twice during our stay at Resort Mundo Imperial. Incredible hamburgers but it did stop there. Nachos totally drench, soggy fries... But the worst are the plastic (or is it silicone) placemats on the table. They look like they were never clean from day one. Totally discusting! It makes you wonder how it is in the kitchen.

Ate at Il Forno twice during our week-long visit & had excellent meals both times. The stuffed chicken breast with mashed potatoes was tasty & the ribeye steak was very good as well. We had the Forno Speciale pizza our next visit--it was loaded with vege's, pepperoni & shrimp--delicious! The calzone was huge & very good as well. Dear sherry9453.Thank you so much for taking the time to write about Il Forno Di Gio, we are delighted to know that you tasted our food and considered over your expectations. We are looking to forward to serving you again!Happily,Il Forno Di Gio Restaurant Acapulco Management.

We ate at this restaurant three times because it was so good. The ambiance isn't all that great, except it's right on the zocalo and there's lots of fun people-watching if you sit outside. We had the seafood pasta, which was excellent. It had nice big, crisp shrimp, lots of tender clams/muscles, fish with a delicious red sauce. They serve it with garlic bread. I also had the spaghetti and meat balls, with extra meat sauce ... wow, so, so good and they really give you "a lot" of extra meat sauce. I also tried the lasagna. My cousin had the pizza and loved it. I thought the pizza was good too. The restaurant is always busy. We've had to wait for a table a couple times. The beers were always cold and the food was always fresh and delicious. The staff was so very friendly and fun. Definitely worth a try if you like Italian food.

If one wants family atmosphere with good meal of fresh pasta, there you have it.Easily accessible. Good parking. Friendly and efficient service.Good wine menu, leaning towards Mex regions. The Caprese salad and pulpo carpacio were good delicios starters. The pasta to follow was exceptional. And, service paying attention to detail. Great dinner. As a bonus, we could share stories with owner Ricardo and meet his wife Euginia as well as his young son excelling in swimming. Keep it going Euginia and Ricardo. You have a restaurant to be proud of.Maia and Ivan, easy to identify your comment. We are grateful for your visit and appreciate the time You took for this review. A pleasure meeting You. Casual elegant, air conditioned and open area also, with a beautiful golf view!! We thing in ourselves as a culinary workshop , here you can find french, italian, spanish and mexican food. Visit us , give us a try!!
Highly recommended. The calamari was thinly sliced in thd lightest batter, the coconut shrimp with mango sauce was to die for and the sea bass fillet was beautifully cooked. Nice complimentary bread basket was also provided and liked that they didnt try and sell expensive bottled water but served free ordinary iced tap water. Service was excellent and very attentive and friendly. There is a choice of indoor and outdoor seating but its quite a small restaurant (adjacent to the golf course) so worth booking ahead in high season. We had two courses plus bottle of wine and coffee which totalled a reasonable £65.
