Spent a long weekend in Dublin at the end of August and gravitated to Skerries .All of the over-priced sea front bistros were packed.Having decided to walk back to the station we happened upon The Salty Dog.First rate food and beer, friendly staff and a traditional warm Irish welcome.Pleasant music too.If you are in the area, ignore the bistros and go to the Salty DogThanks so much for the lovely ReviewHope to see you soonRegards The Salty Dog

Breakfast menu time again and pretty much the same choices as all the usual breakfast joints ... full breakfast, small breakfast, smashed avocado, poached eggs ... etc.... so after my last encounter with Eggs Benedict a week ago within Dublin city boundaries I decided to get a Full Irish breakfast out here in North county Dublin .... Skerries, Cafe Jacques, â¬11.95 I think, nearly sure but open to correction.Quality very poor for that price, seriously, we ate the same breakfast, same price, at Kealyâs on Old Airport road last week and there is no comparison.Sausages, beans, white pudding, hash brown and the toast were really awful, I do not want to use the word cheap, .. so I wonât.I tasted my partners mushrooms from her choice of the Healthy option breakfast , as there were none on the full breakfast, and they tasted .... yes, awful as well, rubbery . But her poached eggs, sausage, tomato etc. were enjoyed.I did enjoy their decor, inviting and clean and it is a busy establishment that is attracting one and all.So, for what itâs worth, if you guys there, - just up your ante a little more... (take a quick look at Mrs.Jonesâs cafe in Jonesâs garden centre) and check out the quality of their full breakfast ... bang on and same price yours, you will be on track.I say all of these things with an open heart and good intentions and I could go on and on but just apply the same rule of thumb to quality across the board and all will be well.Thank you for your hospitality and we shall be back in the future

Potager is a neighborhood restaurant located in the heart of Skerries, our food is modern Irish with an emphasis on local seasonal ingredients. We offer a set menu which changes regularly.
Potager is in the premises previously occupied by the "Red Bank Restaraunt". It has been redecorated. The furniture is modern (and comfortable), it is light filled without being too bright. There is an air of cleanliness and space. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful(There was one who seemed inexperienced: He'll learn)Food was excellent . It is a sort of tasting menu, you get a choice of two for the main course and maybe four for desert. The other courses(7 in total ) are fixed.I will be back

The reputation of The Red Bank in the glory days must be what keeps this restaurant going. It was a huge disappointment to see how tired and dated it is but if I have to be brutal it didn't feel clean either and that would be the killer for me. We were the only diners for most of the time which made the dining room a little lacking in atmosphere. Terry was very attentive to us and made it a pleasant experience and there is no doubt that he can cook good food however food, however important, is only part of the overall experience. this needs a complete makeover in order to survive. Sorry but we won't be returning.

located in what used to be called the LIFEBOAT
We decided to eat here with our dog in tow after seeing a little table outside. The staff were very happy to accommodate us even with our doggy and were attentive even though we were the only customers outside. We had chicken wings with a side of fries and the chicken and mushroom pappardelle. The pasta was delicious! I really enjoyed it. Prices were very reasonable too and portions were generous. I would definitely recommend a visit here if in Skerries. Thanks a million for the review hope to see you again soon

My husband and I had dinner in The Windmill last weekend, when we arrived the manager (I'm guessing?) wasn't very friendly, just pointed to our table and said "you're sitting over there on the corner table". Not being shown to the table was a bit odd and a bit cafe like. There were no menus on the table and they took a while to arrive. They were sitting closed on the table for a good ten minutes before our order was taken - the restaurant wasn't even half full at this stage - even though we had ordered drinks separately, no food order was asked for. When I ordered I was told the item I wanted had just run out (at 7pm on a Saturday night?) which was disappointing and we should have been informed of this before we started to order. The food was nice but nothing "wow", the steaks were perfectly cooked. The service was just so so slow, finished plates left on the table for ages even though all servers walked past out table multiple times, and just quite unprofessional if I'm honest, a far cry from our last visit to this restaurant, but I believe it is under new management. I felt bad not leaving a tip, but really to get one, the servers need to up their game.

At Ollies Place you can be guaranteed to find the perfect blend of exceptional food, great cocktails and an atmosphere that is second to none. Positioned in the center of Skerries, our menu has a casual bar feel, one which our locals love immensely. We're
We had a group of 10 people here for lunch, decor was really nice and seating and service was good. Menu are what you would normally expect with a mixture of seafood, burgers and pasta to name but a few. The Burger was good, average, nothing really great but good enough not to have any negative comments about. Had it with chips and salad. Pasta was very good, 3 of us had it and all said it was really nice. We had a couple of kids meals also and all of them were good. Service was good, got one order wrong , a mix up in the kitchen but didnt have a negative effect on the meal. I found it a bit expensive for what we had, but the staff made an effort to make sure our meal was enjoyable and the service was good.

Tapas restaurant with breathtaking views of the Skerries harbour. Great place to relax and unwind after a long day.We specialize in wide selection of delicious freshly homemade tapas, steaks, salads and seafood delivered daily.
Myself and my wife recently came across this restaurant. They do Spanish Tapas but also have a full standard menu. We opted for the two course special. For starters my wife had the Goatâa Cheese and I had the chicken wings both of which were very tasty. For mains we both had the chicken which came wrapped in bacon and was delicious with potatoes and mushroom sauce on the side. It was one of those lovely summer days so we sat outside and admired the lovely harbour view. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. I will be back and would definitely recommend.

Stoop Your Head was Joe's suggestion from The White Cottages B&B. He knows his stuff. My husband and I are foodies. He's a great cook, and we both know what excellent food is all about. We ate here twice having the scrumptious seafood chowder, cod, and hake I believe. All we had was delicious, and as I wrote, we returned for a second time. What more do you need to say? Thank you!
