This restaurant has a nicely laid out interior, well decorated and has a very large terrace area outside on the footpath. Although the view from the terrace may not be very special, the layout and seating is comfortable and creates a good atmosphere (especially when the weather is good). The concept of the menu here is similar to eating tapas. The menu has a good choice of hot and cold dishes on it, which includes some unusual but very tasty specials as well. The âshared diningâ idea is that you choose 2 or 3 dishes per person and share them, however you can also eat them yourself in the traditional manner of a âstarterâ and a âmain courseâ (as we did). We personally found that 2 dishes per person plus a dessert were sufficient. The waitresses were all very friendly and the food was well presented. Although the dishes are not particularly cheap, the quality and taste was very good.I would certainly recommend this restaurant, especially as itâs (tapas) concept makes it a little different from the rest. We will no doubt return again.

I tried the Cubano sandwich and it was delicious. Prices are standard for the Netherlands (everything is expensive in this country) but compared with other places here it was ok. Staff is nice and the views of the beach are beautiful.

This Bar Bistro is the place to be for Fish and Meat, a cozy living room traditionally decorated, with open kitchen and its more than 100 years old gas stove in the background. With the L-shaped terrace around the building it reminds one of a beach pavili
We decided to visit the annual chess tournament in Wijk aan Zee and had lunch here...not a very good decision. My expectations of service and quality in the Netherlands are usually not too high but this place was so awful that I can claim that this has been by far the worst dutch restaurant I visited in at least the last 12 years. The waitresses were 2 young girls who were neither bright nor friendly and managed to mess up every single order, not only ours but also with the people around us who ordered the standard lunch menu but received something totally different. We chose a simple lunch menu: 3 soups of the day, 2 sandwiches with salmon salad, one sandwich with kibbeling (dutch style fried fish which can be delicious).First of all we were told that only 2 soups of the day were left...then we were informed that there was no more salmon salad...so we received smoked salmon in stead. It was a very long wait even though it was absolutely not busy. When we finally received our food (soup and sandwiches came at the same time) it was a huge disappointment. The soup was completely tasteless and both the presentation and taste of the food was horrible. My kibbeling was old, fat and soggy, not fresh and crispy as it should be. It obviously came straight from the micro wave oven. The foul taste of it stayed in my mouth the whole afternoon. The bread used for the sandwiches is the cheapest and worst you can find in a dutch supermarket.Believe me: if you are in Wijk aan Zee and you want a sandwich with seafood, buy it from a kiosk! It is much better and much cheaper! To add insult to injury we found they tried to grosly overcharge us, charging 15,75 euro for 3 soups in stead of 9 euro what it should have been according to the menu.Only after some protests they grudgingly corrected the bill and rudely refused to greet us when we left without giving a tip.If you like long waits, bad food, unfriendly service and being overcharged go ahead, otherwise, give this place a miss!
sitting at the terras, spacy, lovely.friendly service, good music, plenty of choice in wine beer and refreshments.menu is simple but plenty.waiters are young and hard workers.first nights diner was bad, but the next 2 diners were very nice.the black angus was super.

This is truly a real beachclub! You actually have the real surfers hanging out but also families bringing their kids and dogs. I like the mixture of people and it is just a great location! Perfect to sit outside in the sun with a coffee or beer during summer or to go for a lunch or dinner inside when it is cold outside. There is even a fireplace inside and there is a mix of old wooden furnitures as well as Chesterfield sofas and somehow it just comes together in a cosy and friendly athmosphere. I like it!

Our Berner was allowed inside so that is a big plus from us. The food was very good, I loved my Carpaccio starter. The service could have been better but considering there was only one waiter for all of the restaurant it was quite understandable. We had a great dinner and would not hesitate to come back.
