On our last day in Santa Marta we went to Coco Marina for a breakfast. It was a little bit more expensive than a regular Colombian breakfast, but it was worth it! Everything was delicious, the staff very friendly and the view just great! They also serve real granola with real natural yoghurt, which is pretty uncommon in Colombia. All in all a great experience and highly recommended for breakfast! Some prices from the breakfast: Americano for 4.000 COP, Granola with fruit and yoghurt 20.000 COP, Omelette with vegetables 14.000 COP.

We wandered the streets looking for dinner and the friendliness (without being pushy which was rare!) and the cheaper menu got us in the door. We had two for one cocktails which were delicious and we also got a free stater of fried plantains with salsa which was a nice surprise even though they were pretty average. We didn't set high hopes for our meals but were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the special of the day - grilled chicken and chips for 11000 pesos and spaghetti pesto for 11000 also. The chips were maybe the best I've ever had, the chicken just plain grilled was really tasty and juicy. Cooked to perfection. The pesto was beautiful with plenty of real mozzarella. At first it seemed a little dry but then found all the extra sauce at the bottom. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I stayed at Casa Carolina for a few days and ate at Eli's several times and even chose to return for one last meal after I'd checked out on the last day. The setting is wonderful, so relaxed overlooking the pool in an enclosed atrium of the hotel with swing seats to relax in before and after your meal and greenery to complete the ambiance. The staff are all lovely and very accommodating and friendly, always with a cheerful smile. I loved the food and enjoyed choosing several different options over a few days - each one being wonderful. Beautiful flavours cooked to perfection and presented in a very attractive but unpretentious way at a very reasonable price. I loved it!

This is upfront beach restaurant, a very nice sitting while dining. The girls working here were all very friendly. We choose this place as they serve pizzas but they have other dishes I opt the pizza with seafood, obviously we are in the sea, so seafoods is good to have here. Didier have a punta de anca (steak)Despite of how busy it was, coming here on the 25th of December most tables are occupy and more people coming that night but our food served fast. The pizza is huge with very thin crust. Delicious and worth of the price. The steak is in normal size, but is also tasty. For 77.000 pesos altogether with a few drinks afterwards this really is not expensive

Mediterranean cuisine fused with the Colombian Caribbean
Nice enough place .. super busy which is always a good sign.. food was nice .. but so special that I would return for round 2. Peeking into the kitchen - the cooks seemed to be working with care + precision which is nice to see from ones table .. but the food was really rather simple ... in a high end way. Thanks a lot for your visit. We hope see you again at the 2nd round! :)Best Regards,Sebastian

After being ignored at dinner last night and eating possibly the worst breakfast ever (at the creperie - tough scrambled eggs and cold coffee) we were feeling pretty miserable in Taganga. Then we found Babaganoush and our spirits lifted.Humous and bread on the house, great service, good wine, amazing craft beer (some made with coca leaves) with water from the Sierra Nevada. The food was amazing too pumpkin soup, crab cakes, fish fillets. Weâre coming back here until weâve eaten the whole menu!
