we went there with my ffriends and danced rhumba all night. the place has a good following so come early and book front tables to have a good glance at the live band. drinks prices are of average and food is good. I like the bone soup with hot pepper. its just fantastic. my neighborhood joint.

Relax in an atomosphere of peace, tranquilty and serenity as you share a meal or drink with friends, family or business associates. Experience the finest tastes of India at our Namaskar Restaurant; or contintental cuisine by the pool at Spirit of the Seas
We were taken by our family to the newish Namaskar restaurant situated in the Bliss resort , near to Nyali Centre for one of our last nights in Mombasa and initially we had high hopes when entering. Lots of money had been spent on the decor, design, water features etc but unfortunately these high hopes were not realised. The young lady server was the best feature of the place, very pleasant, helpful and accommodating but the food did not live up to expectations. The prices of the individual dishes were very reasonable but the standard was lacking. Seated and orders taken we had some lassi to quench our thirst. First there was no mango to make mango lassi! Then the salt lassi when it appeared had a very strange taste and had to be sent back. We settled for bottled sodas. Various chicken dishes were delivered, albeit at a very slow pace and none of them were exceptional, very average at best. The salad to accompany the meal also had a very strange off-taste, not very nice at all. ! What was wrong? How can fresh salad have such a weird taste? Anyway, the chilli chips were edible and the chicken and fish fingers for the youngest member of our group seemed to be OK. The dessert of gulag jamun was ordinary. Dense and stodgy, lacking in syrup. Service was good and was far better than the food. Not somewhere where I would want to return to.
Sunny will go the extra mile for his customer. We had a barbeque which was on-point, perfectly cooked. As I don't drink he served the best non-alcoholic champagne and mocktails. Along with the best drinks and food he can make some of the best homemade desserts - try contacting him on Facebook and asking him what the menu is and if you're after dessert he will make sure to make you something unforgetable! Its a little tricky to find but you'll have no regrets once you're there.
Jenikas Café has very nice tea (chai) and mandazi. I always go for the chicken which is done well. Few people know how to make ugali, it is done right here. Left overs are not recycled! My chai has no timing, and it is always fresh. When in Mtwapa, come to Jenikas Café and enjoy appropriately priced foods. If you are lucky, I might buy you a cuppa of chai...

Our Imani Dhow is a so-called Zanzibar Jahazi that was built over 45 years ago. In the past it weighed about 90 tons and on its way between Zanzibar, Dar-es-Saalam, Tanja and Mombasa it transported diverse products like cotton or corn and many more. Under
Went to this place on our last night in Kenya and this was the best dinner Kenya had offered. Enjoyed everything from the tasty meatballs courtesy of the chefs to every single aspect of the entire meal. Was a little disappointed that the dhow didn't move but the atmosphere is still very calm and beautiful. You get a discount here is you are staying at the Severin Lodge. This is 150 m walk on the beach from the Kenya Bay beach hotel where we were staying. I really loved this place and will visit if am ever in Kenya again Jambo dear Sweet_NK,Thanks a lot for your positive review about our famous Imani Dhow restaurant.Yes, the dhow does not move but has a fantastic location with view over the Indian Ocean. However it used to sail many years between Mombasa and Muscat. We would be happy to welcome you again on our dhow. Maybe next time try our dine & dance offer every Thursday night at our Severin Sea Lodge.Kind regards from sunny MombasaJames OwitiResident Manager

The only floating restaurant on the East African coast. Dhow cruising available for a minimum of 4 adults. We are majorly a seafood restaurant but also continental cuisine and pizzeria on offer. We host Karaoke Saturday evenings from 19.00 hours till mid~
We were a grp of 7, waited for 2 for our food which was mediocre. This was at lunch time. My advise is avoid the seafood pot and the fish and chips. Also if possible call them 2hours prior to lunch otherwise theyll eat your patience out. Quality of food and service doesnt justify the amount you pay for it. Mara yangu ya mwisho.Dear Abuzain,Thank you for reviewing us. We endeavor to uphold a remarkable standard of guest satisfaction. All our food is prepared to order and we do not engage any microwave. Select food items with long preparation time are highlighted explicitly on the menu card. The sumptuous food is always worth the wait. It is a shame that on this occasion it did not turn out to your expectation. Your kind observation with regard to prior ordering is noted with thanks

So this was our restaurant for breakfast and dinner during our stay at Sarova Whitesands. It can get every busy at times especially when whole sections are blocked off for corporate bookings for hours on end.Overall the buffet food was Ok. The swahili breakfast being the stand out items for us. The Swahili lunch by the beach was also very good.

This was our best sea food ever. The lobster was amazingly done, very tasty and the prawns out of this world. The Calamari rings and salad was also very tasty.None of the sea foods we ate had any lingering "sea food after taste" that is normally there when sea food is not done well.I give a 5 star to the chef at La Marina. The waiter who served us was very good and served with a smile. He seemed to love and enjoy his job.Definitely a place we will visit again and again
