Reviews on International food in Savaneta, Caribbean. Savaneta is a village in southeastern Aruba. Home to the oldest surviving home in Aruba, it is the oldest town on the island and its former capital. It was where the Dutch first settled after they recaptured it in 1816. The Dutch marines have barracks stationed in Savaneta.

This 100+ year old Aruban House located downtown Oranjestad is a little gem of a bistro, and offers Lunch, Dinner & Drinks monday- friday from 11 am till 10 pm and on Saturday's from 10 am till 10 pm breakfast and "Saturday Brunch" a la carte menu with ne
While strolling the downtown area, we came across a place that will become a destination for all of our future Aruba trips. Without a particular plan, or reservation, we wandered in for a drink. Immediately, we were so courteously welcomed. This restaurant has so much charm, and warmth, also a cozy outside patio. The staff was so nice, and attentive. ( Rose and Laura). The owner, offered us a sample of their distinctive menu, which was amazing. The Moscow Mule, and Pineapple Mojito were equally delicious. We ordered appetizers, and dessert, even though we weren't that hungry!. It was such a comfortable feeling we had there, we made reservations for another night before we left. Our dinner was also a fantastic experience. The owner is a remarkable person, with a dedication and passion for excellence. Roseann and Rich

Restaurant Wilhelmina, one of the restaurants of Chef Dennis van Daatselaar who is known for his renowned other restaurant âCarte Blancheâ. Wilhelmina Restaurant is a casual, elegant restaurant with a creative setting in Downtown Oranjestad, located in th
From a spectacular, converted building with a quasi-outdoor experience and an extremely unique menu, every offering is amazing. This restaurant and soon-to-be, Italian steak dinner restaurant next-door with a sister tapas restaurant next-door to that inspired us to do a second group dinner on our sales trip to Aruba in March 2020. This visit we did just dinner after sampling appetizers at Barefoot. The owner and manager and waiter were all amazing and we were elated over the experience and service we received. We even got a tour of the new Italian steak restaurant next-door. I donât have words to describe the unique menu offerings and the flavor that each dish had. Everything from dinner to desert and martinis were over the top. Our waiter was the brother of the bartender who made the awesome secret martini of the night. The quality of everything is truly special. We are excited to return next March and share this experience with our colleagues

A 5 course dinner experience, a " one night only" in the house of the Fools!Starting at 7pm, till ? 18 seats only...An experience you wont forget!
I made a reservation 3 months in advance. The morning of my reservation date I was called and woken up at 9am to confirm for the 3rd time, but they insisted on taking my credit card number and cancelled my reservation so I was able to use another couple's reservation that didn't want to go that was with our wedding group. We had a good time and the food was great but I probably won't go back. The former chef had this placed ranked #1 at one point, but now I see why they have dropped.

Carte Blanche is a restaurant for foodies, people who are open minded for an exquisite fine dinning experience, without limitations. Carte Blanche features a 14-seat elegant bar in a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. The highlight of the restaurant is Chef Den
Absolutely fabulous! Six to die for courses, and could barely roll out of there! Amazing foodie experience. Glen was a hoot as was the chef. They have a fantastic working relationship and make each guest feel special. Low season make reservations at least a month before going. High season 3 months before and donât be late. Make this a priority on your vacation. It was definitely a highlight of our trip and a memory we will never forget.

Aruba is all about the fabulous beaches during the day, and the many great restaurants at night. It is only logical that these two unique things of Aruba are combined into one! Luc & Gerco found the perfect spot to synergize great food, and a beautiful se
We went on a couples vacation and my sister wanted to go here. The music from the bar next door and the boat in the water were not the best atmosphere. Kinda took away from the place. The food was just okay.

What an amazing Experience ! My wife and i were celebrating our 20th Wedding anniversary and the first time we have taken a trip since my daughter was born 19 years ago. The food was spectacular (best we have ever had) the wine was spectacular and Tom & Fred were spectacular. My wife is already looking for dates to go back to Aruba and of course Fred's. All i can say is that traveling to Aruba is worth doing if only going to dinner at Fred's.... Simply Spectacular
The success of the General Café Savaneta is due largely to its exciting selection of different dishes every day, offering a hearty home-made soup, and four international or local entrees. Those on the run can grab a wrap but also the plentiful salads are

Charlieâs Bar & Restaurant was founded on September 18, 1941 by a Dutch couple, Charles and Marie Brouns. They chose their location in San Nicolas as it was close to the large Lago Refinery: this provided a steady stream of clientele in the form of seamen
You to be an all time favorite (Year 2002) This year (May 2019) things have changed at Charlies Bar. The bar tender did not have excess to the retail store. Where we would have loved to get some t-shirts and souveniours So we could not get any souveniours.. we are not able to travel to Aruba every year. Our friends will never have Charlies t-shirts. Food - we had steamed shrimp - small portions and was not fresh. Had reaction following day. Would not go to Charlies again.

Beach side dining, with even tables in the water. Great international menu, extensive wine and cocktail list and spectacular sunsets!
I wondered if this would live up to the hype and gimmick of feet in the water and it did. Food was great, lighting and atmosphere were lovely. Note tide cycles; by the end of the evening the tide was coming in and many people got quite wet finishing their meals!
