San Pedro Cholula is a municipality in the Mexican state of Puebla and one of two municipalities which made up the city of Cholula. The city has been divided into two sections since the pre Hispanic era, when revolting Toltec-Chichimecas pushed the formerly dominant Olmec-Xicallanca to the eastern side of the city in the 13th century. The new lords called themselves Cholutecas and built a new temple to Quetzalcoatl on the San Pedro side, which eventually eclipsed the formerly prominent Great Pyramid of Cholula, now on the San Andrés side. When the Spanish arrived in the 16th century, the city of Cholula was an important religious and economic center, but the center of power was on the San Pedro side, centered on what is now the main city plaza and the San Gabriel monastery. The division of the city persisted and San Pedro remained the more dominant, with Spanish families moving onto that side and the rest of the population quickly becoming mestizo. Today, San Pedro is still more commercial and less residential than neighboring San Andrés with most of its population employed in industry, commerce and services rather than agriculture. Although Cholula's main tourist attraction, the Pyramid, is in San Andrés, San Pedro has more tourism infrastructure such as hotels, restaurants and bars.

After spending the afternoon at the pyramid we were ready for drinks. This colorful restaurant was on our way down from the pyramid and having a "rooftop" we decided to go here for drinks. The view was spectacular; straight panorama to the church on top of the pyramid. Our server was genuinely caring, even when we were just having drinks. The terrace has a choices of tables and sofas to seat on. We sat on the sofas as we were just going to have drinks. So comfortable! Our tequilas and mezcal were served the right way! Everything was great and then it got even better when this young music student started playing the guitar and singing. He told us that we could request songs, so I requested a song from Jose Jose. He did a beautiful job! The ambiance couldn't be more perfect: nice weather, spectacular view, good drinks in good company and live music!!!!!!

Beautiful restaurant and art gallery in the hystoric downtown of the magical town of San Pedro Cholula. Our Concept of Food is soul food mixing Mexican with other countries. By the morning we have Mexican breakfast.

Excelente servicio, disposición, sabor de los alimentos, es acogedor y el precio de los alimentos cordial, no es barato pero los ingredientes de calidad lo valen. Fuimos en familia y Todos salimos contentos. El chef y personal muy atentos.

La Colmena has recently updated their menu to be completely vegan! I would recommend the lentil burger. It comes with awesome sweet potato fries. They always have a great agua del dia as well. We're very happy you liked the upgrade! Hope you visit us again soon, we've made lot's of new dishes, we'll be opening breakfast as well! Cheers!

My friends and I went there for a meeting, and it was very nice. It is located in Sonata, a nice place where you can find loads of restaurants, coffee shops and narguilé shops. Very nice restaurant with a lovely view and amazing gins freshly made at our table. Food was very delicious, you have the choice of different cuts of meat, fishes and sea food. I had tuna tacos which was absolutely perfect.

This restaurant looks like the beloved project of someone who is passionate about this business. There's plenty of good ideas around, in the décor and in the menu. The pricing is very reasonable. The service is attentive and does a good job. However, I think there's still some points that can be improved: on a Friday night, the place was not too crowded. We were seated at a table upstairs with too much light, it didn't feel quite private. The food was good, not great. We ordered tostadas de pulpo, some were made with tortilla, some with chicharrón. The mushrooms were good. I had the lamb as a main, it was good but could have been a bit hotter. I am sure in a few months, fixing some aspects, this can be an excellent place.

The Divará is a very casual and relaxed restaurant with great views from the terrace. There is a nice patio downstairs and a first floor with couches. On the top floor is the terrace with views of the pyramid and Cholula.Service is very friendly. They offer international food for reasonable prices. The salads and the pizzas are very delicious. They also have pasta, meat and fish plates.It is a nice place to go in Cholula.

Nice spot, great service, cute decor, excellent bathrooms. The "Pan No Me Olvides" was a bit too salty and for my taste the empanadas had a spice that was not my favorite, but my husband and our friend liked them quite well. It was nice that they had new things we hadn't heard of before.

After searching Cholula and Puebla for three weeks, we struck gold with Mitto Cinco.Look no further if you are looking for a perfect sea bass, excellent sauce, and service. The chefs, Pepi Louis and Mary are the best husband wife owners and operators that deliver a professional dinning experience. My only problem is that trio advisor can not allow me to give Motto Cinco six star.Thank you for your beautiful words!!
