Reviews on International food in Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras. The best way to cap off a day of pristine Roatán reef diving and heart-pumping adventure is to sip a sunset cocktail by the beach. From zip-lining to deep-sea fishing to exploring the military-protected archipelago of Cayos Cochinos, the Honduran island is a playground for lovers of water sports and ecotourism. Landlubbers will adore the Carambola botanical gardens, touring the Stone Castle Cameo Factory, or exploring the beaches on horseback.

This rating is not based on food (I only had two appetizers which are typical bar food). I rated this place based on the bar scene. A bar in the heart of the tourist area of Roatan and I felt I was in a neighborhood bar. The place looks very popular with local or repeated customers. You like beer and bar, donât miss this one when in Roatan. Two things, have cash and I think it is closed on Sunday.

The Lotus is located at Xbalanque Resort. Located poolside with open air seating on the white sand beach, Lotus is an intimate and relaxing experience. The Buddha bar serves cocktails, wine and drinks in a casual but yet elegant atmosphere. Lotus speciali
We had four dished, One ceviche which was OK. One whole fried snapper which was excellent, one tempura which was OK and one buffalo mozzarella which went back to the kitchen as it wasn't buffalo ad it wasn't mozzarella (yeah, I know, am picky, but am Italian). In terms of food would deserve three points, but toilets were smelly and this for me is a killer...Thank you for coming to the Lotus to dine.I am very sorry you did not have a perfect experience. We try hard to give the best dining experience. I apologize forthe odor you are mentioning. Being in the open , sometimes we get smells from the sea or surrounding area that is not pleasant.I will be sure that in the future that the bathroom area is attended to so that thereare not any bad odors. I researched Buffalo mozzarella and learned it is a specialty Italian cheese that we can not buy inRoatan. We do serve mozzarella cheese but not Buffalo. We are limited to what is available on an island. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts and your complaints are well taken and we will strive to be better. Patsy

Coconut Tree restaurant is centrally located just at the entrance of the "West End" area of Roatan. We are on the second level and offer open air dining with a fantastic view of Half Moon bay just just a few short feet away. Atmosphere is casual and invit
We visited for dinner in March 2019 and have to say that the service was spectacular. Our orders were taken quickly and our food came out quickly. I am drawing a blank on the galâs name that served us (she has a healthcare background if I recall correctly) but it was absolutely top notch. We were craving the bacon cheeseburger they sell (comes with fries) and it was great. Costs $12 plus 15% tax. Our friend had the fresh Wahoo which was very tasty and a huge serving of fish. It also came with deep fried plantains, mixed cooked vegetable and rice with red beans. Also had the coconut shrimp appetizer which is $15 for 15 shrimp and is served with an apricot sauce and those that ate it said it was very tasty. The only thing a bit off-putting is the fact that the menu is on a chalkboard with no prices. Our waitress was excellent in rattling off everything they offered and the prices so it was not a problem, but I know when we visited last year we had to ask what the prices were. Its not a big deal but for those trying to watch costs it could be awkward if you arenât comfortable asking what something costs. Their listed prices do not include taxes or gratuities. For those that may be bothered by it they do allow dogs in the restaurant and if I recall correctly last year there was a cat on site, though we didn't see it this year. The water and ice they serve is all filtered and loved that their takeout containers are paper instead of plastic. We visit Coconut Tree Restaurant at least once during our annual visit to Roatan.

The best Roatan option for a refined dining.Set in a charming boutique hotel decorated with fine Modern art and with an efficient yet relax service team. Congratulations to the designers and conceptors.Food is very good and the Chef sure knows his business (very tasty Tartare of scallops). Our only.. (small) concern would be the content of the menu itself: too many pasty dishes, repetition of ingredients and cream-based dishes. A more aventurous cuisine would better match the super environment and soothing atmosphere of the establishment.Note: make sure to arrange transportion to and from in advance, or you'll be stuck with ordering an overpriced taxi out, at the end of the evening. Very very annoying.Hello there.Thank you for leaving your review for us and other users. We are glad you enjoyed our food, ambiance and service. As we are located below a steep hill, it is difficult for regular taxis to come to us. What we offer is our own shuttle (known and secure) to transport clients who came without a pick up arrangement, besides we also offer a water taxi to go out (either to West Bay or West End).

The best option in West End for a quality mid-range lunch or dinner. The menu is limited but the food is prepared with care and nicely spiced up. Service is outstanding, especially when considering that the sole waitress has to manage a full house, take care of the bills, attends the hitel guests (at dinner time) and that she does a great job at keeping the atmosphere "light and fun."

Our tucan travel group loved our evening with Zac. He was a fantastic host. Ask him for a Zac attack cocktail sometime. It's like a lime, vodka and coconut explosion. The mashed potato and vegetables were delicious. Regrettably the fish was covered in a really strong sauce which obscured it's flavour. If you order catch of the day, consider asking for sauce on the side as it really is an acquired taste. I would have loved to have stayed on for chocolate cake but the Zac attack finished me off.
