We frequented this eatery just a few days ago, and were delighted with a wonderful dinner. The meal options were plentiful for meat eaters and for those preferring a no meat option. Both were of high quality and great taste. The price was reasonable for the location and for the cost of the items. The staff was wonderful and the location of the restaurant was fantastic, as it was very close to the main Rambla but cafe enough away for a little break from the Punta craziness. I would recommend trying it out- if an option arises.

This is a great place any time of year. I'm glad they are open all year because it is not easy to find well-prepared fresh vegetables in Uruguay. I have tried many creative specials on the menu and some old stand-bys like simple sandwiches. Everything is made with care. The only thing I will not order again is the falafel. It is not seasoned properly with cumin and it is too dry.Thank you very much for your review! We hope you see you again!

Brewpub, brewing company. Local seafood, all uruguayan craft beers. live music.
Very pleasantly surprised at the good range of draught and bottled artesanal beer at reasonable prices I.e. tap beer $160 a pint and $200 for a 500ml bottle. This compared VERY FAVORABLY with Bigote Patagonia (Industrial beer) across the street which charged $200 for a 250ml tap serving of their mediocre beers. Service was prompt and the couple of starters we ordered were good. We arrived at 9pm and found seats at some barrels but most of the tables were pre reserved. By 10pm the place was full and by 1030pm people were queuing to get in.

We spent over 15 nights traveling around Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay and this was by far our favorite dining experience. To start - the atmosphere was great, they made us terrific cocktails and their bread and yummy spread was delicious. Then for our meal - I had the gnocchi and then the filet. Both were outstanding. My husband has their homemade pasta and the lamb. Again, wonderful. We had a half bottle of local red wine which was a perfect pairing. Overall wonderful experience.

The best kept secret in Punta del Este! Fish, seafood, paellas, and selected Basque dishes at its best. Nice environment. Service: very good, our waiters Juan and Ms Florencia were great! We ordered: Moules Provençale (Mejillones al Ajillo), and Grilled Octopus as appetizers and Vegetarian Paella to share as a main. As a dessert Caramelized Apple Pancakes with vanilla ice cream. Food: Excellent! Highly recommended! Will definitely come back! âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸

I'marangatú holds the stories of the time when Punta del Este was projected to the world through the visits of the international jet set, being a historical icon in the social life of Punta del Este. Today it returns in all its splendor as a unique meetin
This place is horribly overpriced for the quality of ingredients and poor preparation of same. I got the worst steak I've had in South America, and the sweet potatoes were glazed with some kind of super sweet something that combined with the flavor of the potatoes made them sickly sweet and inedible. Plus they charge 140 peso (per person) cover for bread, that was one stale papadum and three slices of various breads. So you charged me $10 US for two people to split 4 pieces of mediocre bread, ruined my steak by charring the outside to a burnt lump, and made my vegetable into a dessert. This is more money than we've spent on a meal than any other place in 7 months in South America, and I am sad to say out was not even in the top 10 meals we've had, most for a quarter of the cost.Dear Millet02,Thank you very much for visiting I'marangatú. We are very sorry to hear that you didn´t quite enjoy your experience, since we really take great care in the setting, the service and in the quality of the products we offer and we do it with honesty and commitment, that is why, we would have liked to have the chance to change your dishes or having been able to address your complaint at the time. As for the prices, we believe they are in line with market prices, even not being the most expensiveâ¦please take into consideration that both taxes and service costs are very high in Punta del Este. We hope to have the opportunity to make it up for you sometime, you are always welcome.

The first time, for dinner, we went we were surprised by the quality of their servings (be that meat, rice, dessert). The matambrito de cerdo was just fantastic. Really great service. We returned for lunch, and that just confirmed that this is a great restaurant, with fantastic food and service, and for that quality, not expensive at all. A must in Punta del Este.

We have stayed in Punta a number of times but this is the first time we have been to this restaurant. And it will not be the last! A great find. The menu offers a good choice and there is something to suit all tastes and moods. Clearly a very skilled Peruvian chef and we tried both the ceviche and the tiradito which were excellent. In fact all three courses we each had were delicious with the exception of the Thai chicken which was just âokâ, but I blame myself for ordering something which clearly was not a speciality in an Uruguayan restaurant with a Peruvian chef! Very friendly and efficient service. Definitely recommended. DearThank you for your comment. We are very happy to known that you enjoy your experience in Life Bistró.We hope to see you again Best Regards,

We decided to go with a large group of friends (all of them Punta del Este residents), to try out this newly opened restaurant. We booked one day in advance a large table at 20:00, and most of us were there on time........much to our surprise, they started preparing the fire for the barbecue.......at 20:10..... No need to tell you that we ended up having the first piece of cooked meat at 21:15 !!! No planning, no preparation. To add insult to injury, we ordered three mixed appetizers to share while we waited for the main course. 40 minutes after we placed the order they realized that they had never told the cook about it. We ended up canceling it !! Folks, I think we can understand that mistakes are made, and particularly on a recently opened restaurant. What is inadmissible is that aside from a reluctant apology for the mix-up and the monstrous delay, there was no effort from the owner to redress the matter. She could have offered a free bottle of wine, or a couple of free meals on our next visit, or just a small token of appreciation to have us eventually return to the restaurant. Nothing, zilch. They don't´t have the foggiest idea of what is customer service. The result is that they now have 16 of us which will never return, and, even worse, we will be sure to spread the word. It's a pity because the place is nice, and the food is not too bad.Thank you for your review however you have reviewed us twice - once in Spanish and once in English - as this is not allowed on TripAdviser, I have asked TripAdvisor to take one of these down as it brings down our review ratings. Furthermore, I did try to approach your table (I being the owner of Nuestra Mesa) - I went with the waiter to try to resolve the fact that he did not enter your appetizer into the system. I was waved off without being given a chance to speak and told very clearly to forget it and bring your main course. This is what I instructed my staff to do. Sometimes there is no way to heal a problem if the client is not willing to allow you to do so. The waiter was on trial and did not make it to the Nuestra Mesa team and I am sorry to say that as much as I appreciate your comments you are clearly overstating what happened in a very unfair way. I hope our clients read this review and understand that every customer is important to Nuestra Mesa and this exeprience is definitely one that never happens at Nuestra Mesa.
