Local tavern restaurant in Peyia near Coral Bay. The best Greek Cypriot and international meals, and live music - entertainment every Tuesday and Friday night!
We found Savvas Grilll while on the Tripadvisor website. Both my husband and myself enjoyed our evening. The mixed grill was packed with typically Greek Cypriot meat - all cooked on the grill. King Prawn Saganaki was amazing - the prawns were lovely and "meaty". The staff were all very helpful and friendly/

Excellent meal again, majority of staff perfect. One Surly waiter but he moved on to other tables luckily for us. Suckling pig was moist, juicy and cooked to perfection. Wife's Swordfish Steak was very good, starters and desserts were excellent. Will happily return and recommend.

Traditional and modern Cypriot taverna providing a selection of local Cyprus cuisine, meze, grill, seafood and selection of International dishes.
We have been coming to coral bay twice yearly for 15 years.. never been to Phidias tavern.. maybe because itâs situated just off the main strip ..we decided to visit after reading glowing reviews on trip adviser.its a lovely tavern with live music/dancing...a warm and relaxing environment .. extensive menu .. friendly staff .. we were greeted by a very friendly waiter called plamen who we knew from when he worked in another restaurant .. this is a lovely place ., like stepping back in time to how cyprus used to be ... itâs not a production line like some of the other restaurants here.. I had swordfish and mr B had peppered steak and both were delicious... the chef came out and took a bow , it was really lovely to see that they valued him... we will certainly return but itâs worth noting that this place gets very busy .. may need to book next time

We visited this restaurant after finding a number of well thought of places in Kathikas. We were welcomed by the owner, the restaurant is named after her Grandfather whoâs house it originally was. We had three dips served with a large piece of fresh bread that was toasted with garlic butter. All home made we think. After I had a Pork chop which was enormous, and my wife had home made Moussaka. Both were delicious after which we had a free sweet again, home made. This is certainly a good choice. BUT!! A word of warning - go with a healthy appetite, the portions are generous.

Good combo of good location on the Coral Bay strip, lively atmosphere with friendly entertaining staff and very good food at reasonable prices. We had starters of prawn cocktail good, tomatoes and feta good, seafood platter very good and lamb very tasty. Pancakes and lemon sorbet good for desert.

This restaurant was our favourite when we here when our kids were much younger, and the quality is still extremely high. We came twice during our weekâs stay in September including for my wifeâs birthday last Friday.Ollie and Dan treated us superbly well and the food was great as usual. The pasta dishes are great especially the seafood and Di manzo, and the cheeky Baileys and brandy afterwards is always a nice touch!Weâll be back again no doubt!
