It's the restaurant at the station "Kleine Scheidegg", en route to Jungfraujoch. In good wheater conditions we open our beautiful outside area with a unique view to Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
This is not a place for skiers to meet, get a snack or get a drink, if you want any of these things and are not in the first flush of youth the place for you is the tent bar on the Jungfrau side of the complex. However we were extremely disappointed this year to find this bar more frequently closed rather than open. If it was closed we were directed to the Tipee tent bar but quite frankly this is not a bar for the slightly older generation - its music is too loud and heavy rock and there are no bar stools to enable you to sit at the bar or a table. Even so on occasions this year we found both bars to be closed meaning you could only get a drink in the restaurant. Adverse weather was often given as the reason for the bars to be closed but in all honesty this was just as excuse because the weather was not severe and we have known the bars in the past to be open during much worse weather conditions. We understand the bars and restaurant are under new management and we are afraid that in our view they have got it wrong. We have been visiting these bars for the last 15 years or so and the tent bar (previously run by Gisella) was a great place to meet up with people especially those based in different sides of the mountain. It was always vibrant and fairly busy even on days when there were not many people on the mountain. Not so now! We gave up trying to get a drink and snack at Kleine Scheidegg and spent our money elsewhere on the mountain as did many of our friends. Such a shame the tent bar was an institution and a drink there was something to look forward to - not any more, it is so sad. Thanks for your feedback so we can learn to improve. Of course, it is not our idea to close the bars too often or too early. Even if the weather can actually change within minutes. Based on your feedback, we have made it clearer internally which bar is open. We also checked the music in both bars critically. Yes, we often find the music too one-sided and too loud. New are music style and volume (max 80 dB) regulated. If you are back with us, please contact us. As a reward and reparation, we serve you a refreshing beer for free - in one of our bars with a pleasant atmosphere!

Our Swiss Chef Sylvain Stefanazzi Ogi offers a refined kitchen, with national classic sents inspired by mediteranian cuisine benefiting from his Italian roots. The cosy Restaurant 1903 all in old wood opens only in the evening, in summer these dishes are
I hardly know where to begin. From the moment we arrived by train in Wengen to our departure 8 days later, the service was always exceptional and genuine. We were picked up by cart promptly and luggage (skis included) transported to the hotel. Our room was as promised on hotels.com, balcony with mountain facing views - just exceptional and lovely to see the sun setting in the afternoon with a glass of wine when it wasn't snowing in picturesque Wengen. While the bathroom was very very small, the shower pressure was awesome and hot water ample which is appreciated when skiing. We overlooked this as Paul was gracious and upgraded our bed to a larger size than booked (we didn't ask for this, it was done prior to our arrival). The sheets are very comfortable, turn down service nightly and room was cleaned promptly every day without any issues! This location is superb. You can walk easily to the train and are right there with main street, just a 2-3 minute ski to the tram which opens at 8:15am should you so choose to be first on the lift. The breakfast was excellent and whatever coffee you like made to order. We ate in 1903 three times and the food was the best we had during our 10 days in Switzerland. The Creamy watercress soup â potato, dried meat was divine. I could have that for dinner every night. We both had Lamb carrée with herb crust â potato gratin, beans, thyme jus. The lamb was cooked perfectly (not easy to do in my opinion), the potatoes were so tasty. We both had this meal twice. I also had the Apple tart on rum cream twice and I wish I could replicate this at home. Any reservation we requested or info we needed, the staff provided. The sauna is beautiful and super clean. The decor of the rooms and restaurant is classic Swiss and you will not find better anywhere in Wengen is my guess. When it comes to the restaurant, I am perplexed how this is not rated #1 as we ate at many other places including Hotel Baren and the food, service and ambience didn't even come close to 1903.On the day of departure, the porter came on early so he could transport our bags and skis to catch the 7:03am train on a day of heavy snow. Of course, he was there right on time and had our skis all loaded prior to us adding the other bags. The entire staff was always friendly and professional. If you are going to Wengen, this is the place to stay and eat and relax. Thank you Paul and team for making our trip exceptional. I hope we can come back someday to this beautiful valley and we would always choose to stay with you.Thank you very much !We all are looking forward to wellcome you again at the Schönegg in Wengen.Best regards Paul

A Cafe that currently operates during the summer months only. Open on a daily basis serving freshly made breakfast, premium coffe, homemade paninis, sandwiches, wraps, burgers and cakes.
Only cash is accepted here. Burgers are of good quality though the flavor is average. No charred flavor. Prices are high as expected in Switzerland. Soup is ok though a bit too salty. Variety of seating inside and outside. Quite comfortable. Food are brought to the table.

Our fine-dining gourmet restaurant overlooking the Jungfrau massif is a warmly lit room, fitted with plush banquettes and discrete seating arrangements. Most tables have wonderful views of the Jungfrau and surrounding mountains, with their ever changing s
We spent 3 weeks in France, Italy and Switzerland. Of those, our expectations for food were relatively low (although the views are the best) in Switzerland. However, we found Restaurant Caprice was very good and the view spectacular. It's not overly fancy by any means, but it's also not super heavy and overly sauced up either (which is a good thing). Frankly, between our experiences in Lucerne and the Jungfrau region - it was the best dinner we had. We would most definitely return.

Mürren's home mountain is just four minutes away. You'll be spoilt for choice at the traditional Panorama Restaurant with its tasty Swiss specialities and spacious sun terrace.
The service is very unfriendly there... from the beginning of ordering till the payment. First of all, the waitress was showing her discontent that she needs to serve and behaved like she is doing us a huge favor by taking our order. Next, despite being their client and the order that was made another waitress told me (when I took out my small sandwich from the backpack) that itâs not a place to make a picnic. I would understand that of course If we were not their clients and we did not order something or the place would be a city fancy restaurant instead of mountain place with outdoor tables, or at least we were occupying sits when we are done while other people are waiting (btw. the place was almost empty). If they have a rule like that that you cannot eat your own food (even stupid sandwich), they could have always said it in a more polite wayâ¦. Something like that has happened to me in the Swiss mountains for the first time, and trust me I spent a lot of time hiking. We were close to get up and leave on the table what we ordered after that⦠At the end when we wanted to pay with the card the waitress that took our order expressed with her face strongly how she is unhappy that she needs to go and bring a payment terminal. I do not recommend that place if you are mountain lovers.Dear Karolina PMany thanks for your visit to the Schilthorn Piz â Gloria. We have taken note of your experience and apologize for the inconvenience. Your comments help us, to improve our service in the future.Kind regards, your Schilthorn Team

Typical Swiss Restaurant Famous for the traditional Swiss Cheese Fondue and the Roesti. Steaks, Pasta, Pizza, Salads, Sweets and Coffee.
Definitely worth the trip from town, for a wonderful meal, priced better than most of the country. We had the Traditional Rosti with pork and mushrooms, and the raclette. Delicious! Then we took the recommendation of fellow TA members and had the apple rings for dessert. Yum!

Second time doing the breakfast buffet at Piz Gloria at the top of the Schilthorn. There are plenty of items to pick from and the quality was good. The main reason to travel up there is to experience the restaurant revolving 360° while you dine at nearly 10,000 feet, so you capture breathtaking views of 20+ mountain peaks. After you finish eating you can view the James Bond experience downstairs or go out onto the observation deck outside for even more photo opportunities. Dear smoke43830You are right ! If you have time to explore, you will find a lot of things to see.The combination to enjoy the buffet and the view at the same time - is special. Thank you very much for your visit.

Panorama-Restaurant Alpina famous for its Swiss specialties, Burgers & more.
We ate here 3 times during our stay in Murren. It was our favorite restaurant in town! They had so many good vegetarian options on the menu. I loved the Spaghetti with Pesto Sauce, Veggie Rosti, and Thai Green Curry with Rice. Also, do not miss their Apple Strudel dessert - it was amazing! My mouth still waters just thinking about it... :) The service was warm and scenery beautiful as well. Highly recommended.

Our Restaurant La Grotte is well known for its Swiss and international dishes. Well known for its fondues. Suberb selection of wines.
We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere is nice. One bit of constructive criticism: the waiters seemed very stressed and acted the overall mood of the dinner. As former restaurant owners, we understand the feeling of being very busy snd understaffed or the kitchen being behind. But with most of the patrons being on vacation and in "relaxed mode", it is stressful to see and feel their stress. They were too stressed to be cordial with us so the result was an ovetall feeling that we were not welcome. That being said, the food was good. The carpaccio and lasagna were excellent!
