This is my fav. when visiting Amersfoort. Food is delicious and very well prepared. The menu offers an excellent balance for any preference. Service is swift and friendly. I almost always go for their classic burger as it is delicious. The other meat, vegan and fish dishes are at least as good!So a must visit when you are in the area!
What a great find! Everything closed on a monday morning after along walk, desperate for a coffee, relaxing, charming staff, crisp croissants and freshly baked biscuits! Wish they were in England! Would be there every day! Went back next day too. Just sit, read your paper, chat, enjoy!

Encouraged by the T/A reviews we booked for a Saturday night dinner, and were totally delighted on every level. The venue is charming and the décor tasteful but not overly formal so males for a relaxed evening. The service faultless from the Owner / host to the waitresses all attend you to make it a perfect experience.Menu choices range from a la carte to a series of set tasting menus with 4 - 8 courses and choices by the chef. We wanted to let the chef surprise us and selected a 4 course menu at 42.50 pp and were totally delighted. From the amuse bouche through every course the dishes reflected Michelin quality skill, flair, innovation, and presentation. Tastes, textures and presentation delight both the eye and the palate. The wine list is varied with selections from France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, South Africa & New Zealand - priced reasonably for such a high calibre restaurant. We also elected to have the host do the wine paring and her choices were excellent. A first class meal and the best we've had in the Netherlands so far. Could not recommend it highly enough.

We are a nice, attractive restaurant located outside of the city Amersfoort, in the peaceful ambiance of the forest. We strive to provide a calm, relaxing atmosphere in which you can have lunch, diner and/or just have a nice conversation over a cup of cof
Halfway through the main course of a sole and salmon concoction, I tentatively started to contemplate a five point rating of Restaurant Bavoort. Up till that point, only pleasant surprises had occurred. Restaurant Bavoort is situated at a quiet road on the town limit of Leusden. However, the restaurant is only a five minute drive from the Woudenberg exit on the A28 motorway. Parking is possible on a spacious private parking lot nearly opposite the restaurant. The restaurant itself is established in a spacious villa with connected outhouses. Reception by the staff was cordial. A "wait to be seated" policy is in operation. Despite the fact that our reservation was mislaid, a nice table was found for us. As we were armed with a discounted Internet voucher, only a limited menu was available, but within that menu, a satisfactory choice could be made. The ambiance of Restaurant Bavoort is pleasing with comfortable lighting. (Not too bright and not too dark) The starter, carpaccio was prepared with tender beef; however, the chef could not be restrained to add a quantity of rocket and other ingredients, the well-known Dutch variety. In the original recipe of Guiseppe Cipriani, there is no mention of salad leaves. Further to the remark I started the review with, the main course was delicious. But after the main course, service deteriorated. We had to wait a almost biblical amount of time for our dessert, a simple apple cake with a serving of cinnamon ice cream. It seemed that Restaurant Bavoort suffered of a shortage of staff. Coffee and the bill was also a difficult delivery. As the regular prices on the menu were also of elevated Dutch variety (we congratulated each other with the voucher) I shall sum up the rating as four point. Nice restaurant, spacious parking, excellent food, but expensive and an apparent shortage of staff.

'Alberts Eten & Drinken' is a bar / restaurant with its own character. We are in one of the most beautiful and monumental buildings of Amersfoort. The restaurant is the old home from the Alberts family, who lived here for 50 years. You are welcome from 10
Quirky building with a very rich history, it dates back several centuries. You can still see that the walls are a bit curvy, which is very interesting. The food is very good, they combine an interesting fusion of European with South East Asian cuisine. Nice place for a after work drink and food with colleagues or friends

The atmosphere of this restaurant was busy but really cosy. You are in for a real treat if you are lucky enough to be served by Ashlee - she was a delight & really helped make the whole meal a great experience! The food was excellent with a great selection that I had trouble making a choice from. But I was very happy in the end that I settled on the confit of duck - it was delicious! I would happily return here & hope that I was lucky enough to be served by Ashlee again!

We arrived shortly before the kitchen closed (which is fairly early). The restaurant was very clean and comfortable, and the waitstaff very helpful. I had onion soup which was served very hot, and had a wonderful beefy broth. My husband and I ordered fish cooked different ways; they were both very good and came with a good portion of French Fries and a salad. The prices are very reasonable and the service was excellent.
