I have had the fortune of dining in some of the finest restaurants around the world. This included the French Laundry in Yountville, Le Bernadin in New York City, The Steirereck in Vienna, and many more. Tonight's meal was on par with any of them. Claudio Melis cuisine is innovative, yet accessible, with perfectly sized portions and the eye appeal that only true artists can provide. Service was impeccable and warm, the wine paired to absolute perfection. I was planning on trying another restaurant in Bolzano tomorrow night, but I have changed my mind. Beautiful lake-side location, at 5pm the place had a staff of about 10 waiters milling around aimlessly and all the tables (about 50) were empty. When we asked where to sit, we were directed under a tree as everything was reserved. It was hard to get menus and obviously the place was being prepared for a big party. Once we checked the mainly sushi offerings and prices, we realized that we would feel quite abused if we would stay there so we cut an elegant retreat. Nobody actually noticed or cared. Back up the hill towards Bolzano we discovered a lovely local restaurant where we enjoyed one of our best meals in Italy.

My husband and I had a delightful meal outside on the patio. We started with Salami, cheese and bread. Delicious entrees included Salmon with Stir fried vegetables (yum), and Beef Ravioli. Menu has quite a variety of choices. Excellent wine accompanied our meal. A pleasant place to sit, relax with good food and wine, and people watch! Pleasant and attentive wait staff.

Wir haben im Ansitz Rungghof am Osterwochenende übernachtet und haben natürlich an unserem letzten Abend auch das Restaurant getestet.Kurz und gut ein super Essen in tollen Ambiente mit wahnsinns Ausblick in die Weinberge und Berglandschaft.Service Top und sehr freundlich, der Wein der wir zum Hauptgang gewählt hatten war einfach super.Wir kommen bestimmt wieder !!!

Great experience.Food is just excellent, wine list is way beyond your imagination.Price is incredibly fair.I donât see how someone can complain because doesnât receive chips at 20:30 when you suppose to have dinner.Unfortunately we are surrounded by customers that should go to Macdonald and leave gastronomy to someone else.When you work in the business you can spot idiot customers from a review.If you want to have a great experience in Bolzano and really enjoy your time with an extensive and extraordinary wine list, this is definitely the place to be.The staff is super professional, knowledgeable, very kind and all of them knows what to do.If you miss this restaurant you really miss something.Thank you very much for the amazing dinner.

they say "returnig on the crime scene" and we did it.we were here last year and ate wonderful pastas, this time we found this new initiative "smart noodles" that's interesting, with ready sauces but their excellent pasta, which arrives on the table in few minutes.always very good wines and low prices.

Absolutely exceptional! Our waiter Felix was friendly and welcoming yet still professional and efficient. Felix also made a perfect local wine recommendation. Chef's specials change weekly. It's not the same old German/Austrian/Italian fare, but a little fusion of all. Definitely served with old world charm. In season, reservations may be a good idea, and if you are staying at the hotel, be sure to let them know that you'd like a table for dinner.
