I discovered a great restaurant in Kanchanaburi Thailand called Anchan. It's located in the Main Street in the tourist area on the river Kwai. I've found that not many Thai people are fluent in English. However the staff at Anchan are fluent in English which made things much easier when ordering my meal. It's a very clean restaurant with different cuisine. The drinks were different from the usual soda pops or water served in most small Thai restaurants. The drinks are creative and colourful. The food was delicious and well priced. Most importantly Anchan restaurant is very clean. I found that the meals and drinks were hygienically prepared. The owner, An also rents out push bikes and has a guest house in the back of her restaurant. The rooms aren't expensive and have been newly constructed so there aren't any cockroaches or other nasty insects in the rooms. Anchan are also in the process of creating attentive landscaped gardens for the guest house. The owner An is bright and talented. She is also a highly regarded Jeweller who crafts beautiful genuine sea pearl jewellery. There is a jewellery shop selling sea pearl necklaces, bracelets and broached connected to her restaurant and guest house. I found the service to be genuinely friendly. I highly recommend a visit to Anchan Kanchanaburi if visiting Kanchanaburi province in Western Thailand.

The cheapest beers we have had in a decent restaurant. Wide selection of Western and local dishes. Good Thai food and tasty garlic bread. Polite service and a genteel atmosphere with lots of European Knick knacks clustered in country group. Good for families, groups or couples as you can sit outside in the garden or inside with AC. The cakes and breads from the bakery looked delicious but we were too full to try them.

Our 2nd visit. 1st visit I had Green curry fried rice, 2nd visit Penang chicken, both amazing. My parents wanted western food, they had the giant Yorkshire with sausages and 2nd visit Roast beef, gammon steak, they loved it too. Cannot recommend this place enough.

I though it would be difficult for me to get a veggie food in kanchanaburi. But, this hotel was just superb. It has lot of variety for veggies.Everything I tried was superb ... Macroni / Corn Salad / Spring Roles / Veg. soupSpecially veg. soup was so awesome ... Best I have ever had.My friends were equally happy with sea food. But, I don't have much idea.Service might be slow if it's crowded.But, staff is good and helpful. Prices are very affordable.

A chill bar with a surprising good selection of cocktails, cool playlists, and awesome staff! A crazy couple who own this bar will definitely make you drunk and hangover! They are the best host! Let them welcome you once, you would find yourself cannot resist coming back to this bar!!!

We decided to eat at peppers restaurant tonight and it was not disappointing The view off the river and bridge is stunning and the service second to nonI started with the potato mushroom soup which came with selection off breads and then had the wagu beef with French fries and satuee mushrooms and pepper sauce the service and food was 5 starI had the mango and coconut rice for desert and it was exceptional The house wine also was really nice and not expensiveMy friends had other options all served pipping hot and delicious I highly recommend it

As a former restaurant operator herself, my Thai wife is very hard to please when it comes to dishes prepared by others, especially in a restaurant we have never before visited.Bell's passed the test! While I and my teen-aged granddaughter enjoyed their wonderful pizza, she ordered from their somewhat limited selection of Thai dishes. To be sure, we were all surprised when she pronounced it "Excellent". They do indeed offer a greater selection of pizza toppings than Thai food, but that hardly seemed to matter.

Came here for dinner with friends. Staff was very friendly. The restaurant even organized for us pick up from our hotel and brought us back after the dinner for a small charge of 150Bath. We got a table on the water, so we could enjoy river views. Food was really tasty and portions were enormously big and very reasonably priced. Enjoyed everything about the restaurant. Would recommend.

We stopped here as it looked quiet and welcoming amongst the seedy bars and blaring drum and bass coming from most of the places along the main street. With tables facing out so you can people watch and misters to keep you cool, this place is truly delightful! Food is delicious and a comparable price to other places along the road. We were even tempted into apple pie and ice cream! Wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
