Perched near the Yucatan Peninsula, the island is also a hot spot for whale shark viewing, and kiteboarders love the shallow waters and wide beaches. The white sand streets are relatively unspoiled, as most tourists prefer to party it up in nearby Cancun. A splash in Yalahao Lagoon is about as loco as it gets.

This place was amazing and a very lucky find considering itâs hidden off the Main Street. The restaurant was very cool and staff fanatastic, best of all the burgers were delicious. Iâm gluten intolerant and they were able to make something that suited me too! Very impressed.

Beautiful setting and delicious food. Grilled octopus and fish with black bean sauce are both wonderful! Be cautious of the raccoons, especially after dark. They will climb up on the table if thereâs an open seat so keep an eye open or theyâll snatch your food. Hello! Glad you had such a good experience with our food. :) As far as the raccoons, unfortunately, we can't do anything about it, we try to take care of the animals that surround us so we make a little impact as posible. But be sure we do everything we can so that you have the best experience. Hope to see you soon.

After a few weeks of Mexican we fancied some pizza. After walking around we stumbled upon this place and looking at others pizza we decided this was the place...and we weren't disappointed. Service was really good and friendly, we didn't understand a few of the ingredients but they were more than willing to talk us through them. We are quite fussy eaters but they were kind enough to chop and change pizza ingredients to what we wanted. The pizza are stone oven baked and quite big. 1 was big enough for two of us with a couple of slices left over. If you fancy a change fromMexican and looking for a pizza this is the place!

This is a covered, open-air restaurant. The service is very attentive and friendly. The menu has changed from a year ago and is not as interesting as it was. Nevertheless, the food is still very good. We had fish and lobster and enjoyed them both. Prices are on the higher side but not too high. They accept credit cards.

Fresco bar and grill is the best place on holbox, the location is just beautiful, perfect place to watch the sunset. Good value for money and the cocktails Where so good, my favourite was mango chi chi. I spent 2 weeks here so tried everything on the menu and it was ALL amazing, BEST fish tacos on the island! The place wouldnât be the same without the beautiful MARVILA, who looked after us. Your service was magical and she made our stay so memorable, she was so kind and caring and always asking if there is anything else we needed. She worked so hard all day bringing us food and cocktails, thank you Marvila, I will miss our daily chats and will be returning next year. Also a BIG shout out to the lovely Mario and Hector who also made our stay memorable and Thank you also all for helping us learn some Spanish! Hopefully by next year we would have improved! Can not wait to return xxx

Whether the food is ok or not is immaterial when the waiter and maitre d' conspire to steal from you. Case in point? Bill received, cash placed with receipt --- including 15% tip --- and we departed. Five minutes later waiter and maitre d' chased us down in the street declaring we were $500 short. We had counted carefully and the amount we left was correct. To avoid accusations, we paid the $500 again --- and guess what? when we got back to our room found we were exactly $500 short. Turns out this is fairly typical in Holbox where every time we turned around we were being overcharged, or an attempt made to overcharge. Leaves a very negative impression of the place.

The restaurant is located on the beach and is really beautiful. The food was very good and the prices resonable. We also loved the waiters - we were there with kids and they offered to make a special spaghetti - with butter sauce only, so the kids liked it to.

We cale.in the evening for drinks only. We sat on the terrasse which is nice and our order was taken immediatly. Though it took us 20 minutes to get it... Ok meanwhile we got like 10 nachos of bad quality and some industrial mayonaise to dip them in.When we asked for the bill we specified we wanted change to give a proper tip. The waitress brought us back a single 50 pesos bill forcing us to leave her a much bigger tip than deserved the wait.The restaurant was full and you can't make me beleive that no one paid with some coins or some small bills. This attitude is despicable and we won't come back. There are much better place in holbox with live music for example.
