So happy we found this amazing restaurant with brilliant food and service. We couldnât fault anything from start to finish. The owner Sam was wonderful and attentive and catered to all our needs. Our food was cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was very cosy. We highly recommend this lovely establishment when visiting Fuengirola. Made a return visit to La Langosta last month, having come back to Fuengirola for the first time in 28 years! Really couldn't wait to go back, it was so lovely first time round! Well, we weren't disappointed, it was exactly the same exactly the same, the décor had changed little (although obviously well kept) but the ambience and the food just as divine! Our waiter was lovely .... I told him " the last time we were here was over 28 years ago!", he replied " I started working here 30 years ago.... it is good to see you again!" Anyway, onto the food ... Both had the mussels in a creamy saffron sauce, for starters, which were delicious! My husband then had the king prawn gratin, which was so tasty, it actually gave me food envy! I had the sole, filleted at the table, with dauphinoise potatoes and vegetables, which was also perfect! No room for sweet, a shame but true! We also had nice a bottle of wine. With everything included, we paid around £63 euros, which we thought was worth every euro!!! If you like seafood and you're in Fuengirola, don't pass up the chance to visit this lovely restaurant. We booked a table here to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be a great move.I had the fillet steak which was cooked to perfection, huge and very tasty.My wife opted for the Beef Goulash which contained plenty of meat and was also very nice.If I were to be ultra critical, I would have preferred that my steak was rested before served, as I hate having loads of juice on my plate; also my vegetables were cooked more than I would have liked.The staff were hard working, polite and efficient.I would definitely go again.

We used to go here a lot but dispte the lovely atmosphere in a great setting ,the little square with overhanging trees is delightful. The quality of the food has gone down ,serving fatty meat that is though once to often has put us off going back.

Happened upon this restaurant as we were walking out one evening, most of the tables were reserved but we were told we could have a table as long as we had finished by 9pm, we ordered from the 3 course set menu for 14.95 euros, this has a good selection of starters, mains and desserts. The prawn cocktail was lovely, my partner had steak and I had the pork fillet with a blue cheese sauce, both were very tasty. We decided we would return on the last night of our holiday but when I rang to book a table for 7pm it was already fully booked. Would definitely dine here again but will ensure I book a table a few days in advance.

Having read the great reviews of Stones on Tripadvisor my husband and I thought we'd pay it a visit. We have been coming to Fuengirola for years and always like to try out 'new' eateries and Stones certainly didn't disappoint. It's situated very centrally in a small square a few blocks back from the Maritimo, opposite the port. Staff, whom I'm assuming we're the owners were helpful and friendly.I'd intended having something quite light/small but seeing another customer with one of the house specials, the chicken and mushroom pie, we decided to give it a try. I am very fussy with chicken, only liking breast of chicken in pies and I was very happy to be told that it's only chicken breast that the chef/cook uses for the pies. It came with homemade chips and peas and a jug of gravy and was delicious. The pastry was light and scrummy and the pie filling was generously filled with chicken, mushrooms, bacon and a creamy sauce. The only downside was that we weren't able for one of the delicious sounding deserts. We'll just have to go back to sample more of Stone's lovely home cooked food. I'd certainly have no hesitation in recommending this friendly café and look forward to our next visit. Thank you for this amazing review so pleased we didn't disappointed you. We visited this restaurant due to the good reviews.It is very compact and you need to book well in advance.The staff were pleasant but the food moderate.It was food from the 1970s with the usual soup,pâté etc followed by the chicken,pork dishes with glutinous sauces.It was not unpleasant but I would have expected something better for the rave reviews this gets it is no better than other local restaurants like Santorini or Sandpiper.It is not a must to visit.Good afternoon, first of all thank you for your review. Second, the 3 course set menu for 14.50 euro what you are talking about is a normal menu for everyone. We need to have a menu like that, because that's what the people ask for. If you didn't like the set menu you Also could have tried our normal menu or specials. ( which for sure is not from the 70s ) You could have tried the surf and turf, the oriental crispy shrimps, the oxtail in red wine sauce, the carrillade ( pork cheeks) in malaga wine.,the lamb shank, the red tuna steak with teriyaki sauce etc.. Open evenings only and just off the main tourist trail. This delightlful little bistro style restaurant offers something that little bit different amd is sure to appeal.- Frogs legs. Deer stew. Spicy guacamole. Beetroot hummus. They have a printed menu and specials on a chalk board. Warm welcome and great service. The food is home cooked style and is wonderful.
