We used to love this bar but have visited a couple of times recently and been disappointed. The most recent time, despite almost every table being unoccupied, the owner asked us, when we were only two thirds of the way through our drinks, if we wanted a second drink. After we refused, we felt he was hovering so that weâd order another drink. Instead, we paid the bill and left. We love to have a relaxed drink and never feel pushed to leave or drink up quickly and order another in Spain so this was a new and unpleasant experience for us. We werenât taking the mickey... probably spent 15 minutes at the table. What a shame... beer and tapas fine. Very limited and quite pricey menu del dia . Other reviews seem good so hopefully this was a bad day.

Wonderful gastrobar that certainly lives up to the name. Bright and modern and stylish by day it becomes elegant in the evenings with its wonderful lighting. Staff are very customer focussed and deliver a great dining experience. Food os extremely well presented and is imaginative in content- this is true for both tapas and the main menu. Lovely salon and outside dining on terrace .

We have a villa in LH and Dis Tinto was a regular âwatering holeâ for us - however, their management let the standards slip and I submitted a suitably critical review. We called in today and boy, what a change for the better - the restaurant has been cleaned up immeasurably, service was excellent (particularly from the fabulously friendly and professional Jose-Louis) and food fabulous. We had the Basque Txchuleta (steak) which is self-cooked on a hot plate brought to the table - Dis Tinto have, thankfully, replaced the wholly inadequate pottery hot plates with a cast-iron equivalent, which are much better and retain the heat much longer. We will re-add Dis Tinto to our LH restaurant bucket list, as the restaurant is once again superb Thanks for your opinion

First of all be careful - there are 2 Arbol Blanco restaurants, the original in the town and the newer Arbol Blanco Playa with a great setting near the beach and fun park. This is a review of the original restaurant which is very pleasant with friendly staff. However, they have a very limited menu del dia - only a choice of two meals for each course although they do have one menu at 9,95 euros and one at 14.95 but not exciting. I do also wish they would not just serve frozen chips and frozen mixed vegetables with everything. Surely they could be a bit more adventurous. The tables are also very close together and you will be able to hear everything said on the adjacent table. It is a restaurant I like but I wish they would make just that bit more effort.Hola Nicky.

Nice place in Almunecar.
We visited here after a recommendation from a friend. As a vegan I almost felt sick when I walked in as it is very authentic Spanish with pig legs and taxidermy everywhere. However, they we so accommodating to my needs and helped me choose suitable options from the menu. Staff were so friendly and despite the decor I would absolutely visit again.

Have had the three course lunch menu here several times. Always satisfied. Good alternatives to choose from. Made with attention to detail and a personal twist. Modern cuisine with Mediterranean and international influences. Good wines. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. Nice and classy feel terrace with bay view. Not the cheapest place, but worth the money, I think.

A must to try is the House Salad, a very special combination of flavours! The menu has many options and all are excellent as the owners work the restaurant, Emilio is front of the house and his lovely wife Lourdes is the chef. A huge bonus is that they are open all day long.

Classy, original. Exceptional. Too many good things to mention them all. Give it a try. The dishes are beautifully presented. Thereâs a 7 course menu. The food is modern Spanish cuisine at its best. Friendly helpful service, very comfortable chairs, great wine list. Definitely going back

Great new Taberna Ayer, always serving fresh cooked produce,See our fantastic reviews on Tripadvisor or find us on Facebook. Now with a full menu including many old favorites and some great new sharing plates and our evening grill menu, still serving grea
We last visited this restaurant when they were still in their old premises, and were pleased to see that they have been able to expand their menu after moving. Service was still extremely efficient and pleasant, and we were brought very tasty tapas whilst waiting for our food to be served. Two of us had burgers (very good, and huuuuge, with great chunky chips) and the other two had paninis served with lovely fresh salad and patatas bravas, making it a substantial meal. My only disappointment was that they were out of lemon drizzle cake on this occasion (I remembered how good it was from our last visit) so I had to settle for Bailey's cheesecake instead. Hard life but somebody's got to do it! Congratulations to the owners and their family for being able to maintain their high standards for so long, may they continue to prosper.Thank you for your very kind review. As a business thats been serving people in Almunecar for over 18 years its great to hear that our customers are still enjoying what we are serving. Sorry about the Lemon drizzle, we cant keep up with the demand even after all this time.Hopefully next time you will get a slice....Thanks again.
