Reviews on Indonesian food in Dili, Dili District, East Timor. Having endured 20 years of struggle for independence from Indonesia, East Timor's coastal capital, Dili, has made remarkable strides toward reconstruction after innumerable damages and losses. Its former Portuguese colonial flavor can still be found in remaining villas and churches along the waterfront, as well as the 65-foot statue of Jesus overlooking the coast, reminiscent of Cristo Redentor in Rio Di Janeiro. The waterfront parks and white sand beaches are popular for diving and relaxing.

This resto gets straight to the point... no frills and unpretentious... but it is really good! Dishes are moderately priced including their specials. A must try in Dili!

I came across Kafè BCB while walking down to visit the Resistance Museum in Dili. What drew my attention to the place was an amazing aroma of coffee being grounded.I ordered an espresso and enjoyed sip by sip what has to be the best tasting coffee I have tried anywhere in my travels through Asia. And I paid only a dollar a cup!Their food menu was also a very pleasant surprise.Everything from Pizza, Jumbo hot dogs, Malaysian chicken curry, schnitzel, big breakfast- listed as the "hangover special" and many other interesting and different foods to choosed from....all priced at $5 and under.Suited my budget. The lady making the coffee was friendly as was Robert, the retired Ozzie, who explained he set up the cafe to help with his daughter's education and help the coffee lady improve her and her family's life.I sat under a big mango tree and listen to some great Brazilian music coming from the Zeitu Burger bar opposite the cafe.I also met some Peace Corps volunteers who have an office across the road and got some good information from them about travelling to the districts.I drank and ate there for three days in a row and next time I am back in Dili it's going to be my regular place to visit.
Food were delicious with reasonable price. Ambience is so relaxed. We enjoyed their Crispy Chicken, Fried Noodles and Beef Rips Balado - all were greats. Surely we will come back to this place.
Dili District, East Timor Food Guide: 3 Pizza food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Dili
Most standard Indo and Chinese dishes (at least, the ones popular in Indo) plus some strange ones that I'd never seen before, but liked. Nothing special about the food though. Pleasant staff but with strange habits like getting you to write down your order. Prices are lower than nearby restaurants but higher than grubbier places in the back streets.

Seaside restaurant with capacity for 600 people catering for weddings and functions. A la carte menu specializing in Steaks,Seafood and South East Asian cuisine. Panoramic sea views with whales and dolphins sighted from the restaurant at certain times of
We went here to watch the sunset and it certainly delivered on the view. Unfortunately a lot of the drinks on its extensive menu were not available...including simple items such as diet coke. The place is very large but there were very few people there when we visited. We also did not have food so I honestly cannot comment on that aspect. I would try it.......its location is lovely.
