Things to do in Batu
Visit this restaurant to have a lunch with my family. They have a lot varieties of menu. From asia to west food. From appetizer to dessert. They serve very good quality of food. There's no untasty food. A little bit pricey but it's worthed. This place was unique... Some seats are decorated with teddy bear doll. Maybe because they share their place with one of doll shop in Malang.Definitely come back to this restaurant again.

Located on big street. You have to try the goat satay, chicken satay, tongseng soup and dawet ice. It really recommended

One more iconic culinary legend in Batu City that is still victorious today, Warung Sidik. Founded in 1948, Warung Sidik became one of the most sought-after stalls at the time, both by residents of Batu City who were then still in the District status, as well as domestic tourists. Various favorite menus are here, ranging from soto rice, rawon, chicken curry, chicken seasoning, bali eggs, warm, krengsengan and many other other menus.

Got here after we were wrongly directed by the map as we chose the wrong adress. It was almost two o'clock in the afternoon and I was starving. I was offered a package for five pax with IDR 265 K. I also order garang asem and sop buntut. We were wait for almost 15 minutes but the wait finally paid off. The chicken was so tasty, so the gurame. It was a superb meal with a very affordable price.

Most tourists who have been to Batu in the 1980s must have immediately mentioned this Egyptian restaurant when asked which restaurant was the most preferred in Batu. Apparently, until now restaurant still survives. Founded in 1976, this one restaurant relies on Middle Eastern-style cuisine. One menu that must be tried is the Egyptian Goat Satay, satay with tender and delicious goat meat.

We came for late lunch, so the restaurant was quiet. The food was not so special, but acceptable. Price was affordable. Things I dissapoint was the cleanliness. The floor was so dirty. The waitress said it was because they were so full with guests in the morning. But why didn't they immediately clean it up? Even after we complain about it, the waiters took no action. They just gathered in the corner and chatting. But, the restaurant has a nice garden facing a good view. It will be very pleasant to sit on the garden with refreshing air, but the table is dirty. Too bad.

We was amaze once we entered this restaurant, the pond filled with so many colourful and beautiful fish also in big size. They are so lovely. But then we got another amazing thing, there was no waiter in the restaurant, we only found cashier. There are many tables ex previous consumer which just left without waiter who clean up, inviting many pigeon to have all the remaining dishes on tables. We ordered 'Lele goreng', 'gurame bakar', 'tahu penyet', 'kangkung', all taste are good, especially their sambal, it's spicy. The poor thing of this restaurant is its cleanliness.

We had late lunch at warung mbok sri at Jatim Park 3 and ordered Gurame Cobek, which taste superb even though itâs very spicy. The sayur asam was also taste nice. If you like spicy food then the Gurame Cobek is a must try one while you are in Batu. Pricing is very reasonable, service is fast and efficient.

If you want good food, good price and quick service, this is the place for you. We arrived VERY hungry and the speed of the service didn't disappoint us. Try the Gurame fish dish, it's good! This place is also great for big group dining. We went in the afternoon for lunch so we had a great view of the mountain also. There are real chair seating and lesehan (sitting on the floor in the gazebos).

The restaurant seemed small from outside, but as we went inside it turned out to be spacious. The decor was really nice and somehow has a calming effect for visitors. We ordered gurame goreng and some bean sprouts for lunch. Both dish were delicious. The restaurant donât have many choices of food. Not really a place to go to try local Batu dish.
