Shan State (Burmese: ရှမ်းပြည်နယ်, pronounced [ʃáɴ pjìnɛ̀]; Shan: မိူင်းတႆး [mə́ŋ.táj]) is a state of Myanmar. Shan State borders China to the north, Laos to the east, and Thailand to the south, and five administrative divisions of Burma in the west. Largest of the 14 administrative divisions by land area, Shan State covers 155,800 km², almost a quarter of the total area of Burma. The state gets its name from the Shan people, one of several ethnic groups that inhabit the area. Shan State is largely rural, with only three cities of significant size: Lashio, Kengtung, and the capital, Taunggyi. Taunggyi is 150.7 km north east of the nation's capital Naypyitaw.

Serves delicious Napalese Indian food. Examples of dishes include: curry meats, seafood and vegetables, a well as biryanis and assorted salads and appetizers. Our meats are boneless and skinlees; and all our dishes are healthy with minimal oil.
On some nights you may need to book here due to the enthusiastic reviews and tiny size. The proprietor is most welcoming and enthusiastic and the curries tasty without being remarkable. We had some difficulty distinguishing one from the other. There was only one beer cold from the frig although we were amount the first to arrive. This was a very good value experience.

GINKI NYAUNG SHWE is a bar & restaurant offering Myanmar Premium Craft Beer, Cocktails & other drinks and variety of foods including Thai, Indian, European, Myanmar & Traditional Shan Cuisines.
Hahaha. Donât get the pizza. Stick to the Thai or Myanmar cuisine. Had the clay pot with vermicelli (2000 Ks) and it was good. Others had the steamed fish in banana leaf (5000 Ks) which was tasty. Heard the grilled fish (45 min wait/ 10000 Ks) is one of their best dishes. Restaurant / bar served up cocktails, hard liquors and bottles of Myanmar beer (2500 Ks). Also fresh fruit juices (2500 Ks).

The food was delicious! We had chicken korma, butter chicken, plain naan and garlic naan and everything was great. Especially the korma was amazing. The staff is very friendly and this place is definitely worth a visit.

It Was An Old Movie-theatre By The 1953,presenting Indian, english And Burmese Movie But For The Burmese Movie The Synchronized Groups Of People Had To Follow The Scripts And Music That Is Why It Was Named A Talkie-house.
We had an excellent quality of food, tranquil and charming atmosphere, very pleasant prices, delicious Indian food, slightly higher prices for the parts than we've seen elsewhere, but still worth visit.Location is middle of Kalaw town. Very spacious restaurant. Very clean and tidy tables and huge hall. Staff was very friendly and helpful .I recommend the Chicken Kadai and mint rice for non vegetable person, but I had Potato Purry. . Ordinary service is slow,so be patient here, and take relax.

Seriously people, if you ranked this place highly then what have you been eating? We have better quality in Yangon esp the Indian quarters. Expectations are high when everyone LOVED it plus the supposedly heritage aspect. But sorry itâs a NEIN. Of course itâs clean, it has English menu bla bla bla but for 18,000ks itâs rather high for kalaw standard, even for Yangon

Despite the Fact that the Avocado Salad was sold out three days in a row, i recommend it good, because it might be not the season. but the food is very delicious and tasty.

Also known as the Seven Sisters Restaurant. Listed in 2009 Lonely Planet guide for Myanmar, page 228.
Iâd been in Myanmar for just over a week before trying this place, and found its value much lower than the âFeelâ franchise. The prices are about threefold higher than what youâd expect to pay, and the flavor was bland and/or wayyy to heavy on onion, and portions otherwise small. My visit may be an anomaly since a local friend actually recommended the place after liking it last year, but was herself disappointed. If you need English speaking staff and a quaint atmosphere, go for it but otherwise youâd be much better off searching a few extra minutes for one of the many hidden hole-in the wall gems... or even Feel which is itself a delicious and much cheaper restaurant.

What an amazing food at Innlay hut. Have been there for two times - had eggplant curry (bartha), channa Masala and vegetable curry with rice and chapati - veeeeery delicious and prepared vegan for us. Stan, a friendly and funny host did everything that we felt satisfied. He called himself the âEminem of Myanmarâ - so we were also entertained by having our diner.
