Further to my first review in June, we've since had two more meals from Indiana. What a refreshing change to have such pleasant and courteous staff! We've had two deliveries. Ordering by phone is a dream. Orders are repeated back to you to double check it's correct and you don't get 'barked at' down the phone! Waiting times are reasonable, 45 mins to an hour which means that everything is freshly cooked! Delivery drivers are polite and the food is absolutely roasting hot on delivery! No more luke warm food as with previous local Indian establishments! Food is lovely! We've already got our fave dishes that we tend to always order! Please keep it up Indiana, you're building a very good reputation!! Looking forward to next treat night!

Absolutely disgusting robbery and tasteless chips and very unpleasant fish and sausages too. I asked for all to be cooked fresh as stuff in counter heaters looked inedible. It was still disgusting. Generous portion of chips but I threw it all away. Absolutely horrid. Wish I'd tried curries instead!

Visited on a Saturday night. Fairly busy, we had booked and staff were welcoming and friendly. Restaurant set out nicely and very clean. Service was quick. Had popadoms and pickles. starters, main and a round of drinks and it came to £54 for two people. Curry was beautiful, really tasty not greasy and portion size was perfect. We visited quite early and by the time we left the restaurant was full. Located in a residential area and has car park outside. Bar area on the other side of the restaurant. Will definitely return.

Visited on my own whilst working away, a bit quiet but Tuesday nights usually are, plenty of people buying takeaway was a good sign. Sheek Kebab starter was very good, succulent with well accompanied salad and beautiful yoghurt based side sauce. Chilli Chicken main was simply outstanding, hot but not to the detriment of taste. Good naan bread. Kungfisher on draught made the perfect liquid.

Food is normally good from the Tamarind Pontypool. Seems things are on the change. Ordered on their website tonight and watched their state of the art Dominoes type meal tracker."Order Confirmed" (great)"Order Being Cooked" (brilliant) "Order out for delivery" (Happy now!) "Order delivered!!!" (Superb). But hang on - Order not delivered???, or cooked or anything else.160 "busy" phone calls to be told on the 161 st successful call, "It is just being cooked now. (2 and a half hours after ordering and 1 whole hour after delivery time confirmation. )When order finally arrived, order was wrong and Marsala sauce tasted uncannily like cold Heinz Tomato Soup with extra sugar and pinch of Marsala powder (must have been a really busy night and guessing they ran out of the real stuff)?Time for a change for me. The Curry House in New Inn is great and it is ready when they say it will be.

Eat here a few times during business trip as Ppool I not blessed with what one may call a food culture !!!In summary = food OK and prices reasonable but served by staff who were without doubt the most aloof, distant, disinterested bordering on ignorant you will ever meetSame on both occasions so not an off night Either get them to go on and pass a customer care course or get rid and get some who do want to be there !!Their attitudes will spoil your mealThank you for your comment. However, we rarely have service issues. It is obvious that you felt strongly about it. We would like to apologise and also like to investigate in order to assess next course of action. We need your help in doing so. Please forward a tel number so we can get to in touch with you. This will enable us to see if we need to retrain or even make changes in our service department. Pls call us on 01495 763535 and ask for manager Abdul.
