Reviews on Indian food in Nottingham, England, United Kingdom. This town in the very center of England is perhaps best known for its association with the legend of Robin Hood. The men in tights are long gone, though—today, you’ll find a modern city with a fantastic playhouse, ice hockey arena, and many, many shops and clubs.

I have been a couple of times at this restaurant during some business trips to Nottingham. Having been at several Indian in different countries this is probably the best I have visited. Extensive menu with several options of Indian cuisine, large wine list, elegant decoration and good service. In one of the visits it was my birthday and they bought cake with candle, very much appreciated. I will be back with colleagues during our next trip to the city.

When my family turned up to Anoki Nottingham on Mon 7th Oct for my daughters surprise 16th birthday meal it was closed! Despite having booked online and having received 2 email confirmations of the booking, the restaurant was simply closed! I rang them in desperation and got through to Anoki Derby. There was barely an apology-you could tell this had probably happened before-and they offered us a place in their Derby restaurant 45 minutes away! I refused this and they said there was nothing they could do and that the restaurant is never open on Mondays. My question is why advertise on your website that it as open on Mondays? Why allow guests to book online on a day the restaurant is closed? Why send e-confirmations knowing it is closed? If you do not want to be disappointed-DO NOT BOOK with this restaurant. WE didn't make a fuss as I didn't want to spoil my daughters birthday so I quickly rang Mem Saab restaurant and they took us straight away. They were so kind, professional and the food was delicious-my daughter loved it there! Beware booking online with Anoki Nottingham restaurant as it doesn't work. I would avoid it entirely because if they treat customers like that it must be very poorly managed. You have been warned.

This is the first time we have visited and I will most certainly go again. The staff were friendly and very professional. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, spacious and very fun to sit in - a nice change from the typical "Indian restaurant". The price was a bit more than expected - paying for rice on top of the curry was new one for us but that was soon forgotten when the food arrived. We ordered : mattar paneer, chicken birayni, dosas, aubergine curry, chicken curry, rice, naans - all well delicious. Portions were generous and very well presented. Masaal tea was refreshing. I would say this is a place for special occasions rather than a casual meal and I will be back for a special occasion for sure.Dear Sir/ Madam,Thank you for your awesome five star review. We are incredibly grateful that you took the time out to leave us this review. Itâs a great pleasure for us to hear that you have enjoyed the Mattar paneer, chicken biriyani, dosas, aubergine curry, chicken curry, rice and naans . Weâd love to serve you again at Kayal. We have never been disappointed with meals from Akbar Balti, whether ordering takeway or eating in. We actually ate in this time and having not been since the redecoration loved how they had made it lighter and brighter without losing the friendly atmosphere. All three of us had chicken tikka in various sauces, masala, kashmiri and passanda with boiled rice, pilau rice and a peshwari naan. The food was wonderful as usual and the house red wine very drinkable. The staff are very friendly and helpful and their service was attentive without being excessive.

The food was very nice and the staff were very friendly. I tried the lamb rogan josh and enjoyed everything about it. I would say it was slightly overpriced for my liking.

This was our first visit and we will most certainly return. The service was welcoming, warm and very efficient. The food was superb and the Hyderabadi Chicken Dham Biriyani and Saag Chicken were among the best dishes that we have tasted in any Indian restaurant in the UK. Highly recommended.
