Atmosphere- good. Service good. Food delicious. Ordered Pakora for entree but they didn't arrive and they had clearly forgotten. That was only deviation from good service. Would return if not so far away for us.Thank you for taking the time to provide us with the feedback, apologies for not serving pakoras at your request as to not sure how it got missed. Looking forward to seeing you again
Quiet Monday night dinner with girlfriends, was great to not have waiting staff hovering over us as we talked. Food was very nice and not all creamy fare typical of some Indian Restaurants. Can't beat the great value of $10 night either.

This is a vegetarian restaurant. The dosa and uttapa were delicious. The decor is modern and comfortable.Their menu is quite wide. The servers were attentive; but they are being let down by slow chefs. My guess is they don't have enough staff in the kitchen.

We spent whole day at rainbows end, we were tired and hungry and decided to eat indian food.we came to sangeet indian restaurant, we started with vegetable pakora, it wasn't that bad. We ordered 3 main curries, n asked to make it med-to-hot. Ordered cheese chilli, shahi paneer, butter kofta, with some butter naan.omg it was the worst indian food i ever had. We asked for med -to -hot, but it wasn't even med.it was mild with no spices at all.we could have asked for chilli on a side but it wasnot all about mild or hot. I think chef doesn't know how to cook shahi paneer, food was totally bland, do they even know how the indian food taste? Naan bread were good, and basmati rice was cooked 2 days before and just heated up in the microwave. Did not touch, its time to pay the bill.they asked about food. i said ,"we asked for med -hot not mild".she said," u should have asked for indian med to hot, they cook according to kiwi style". Really, u meant to say u are not authentic indian restaurent, just change your name to kiwi style indian restaurent. Making kiwi people fool. Kiwi come to indian restaurant to taste authentic food, but they don't even know its not even half of it ,except coriander on the curries to make it authentic, haha and please give some lessons to ur chef to how to make shahi paneer.
Amazing Onam dishes served on real banana leaf, in authentic Kerala style. Beautiful ambience (see photos), tastefully and lovingly presented and served by staff at Saffron. Pure vegetarian meal and two types of paaysam (pudding) for dessert...at $20 per person, well worth it. Only for 2 days and the first time ever at the Manukau restaurant. Thanks Saffron for bringing Onam all the way from Kerala, to our own doorstep in Auckland.

This is a small cafe but clean and neat. For $9 you can eat as much as you want for 30 minutes etc. the food tastes really good with very friendly staff. Not sure if they make profit though with the price plan they have. If you love Fiji Indian food then you have to check out this place

Closest I've come to authentic Indian food in NZ. Walked in with very low expectations as the food was ready made but it was packed full of spices and flavour. And cheap as chips too. Definitely worth a visit just don't expect comfort and fancy wallpaper!

We were staying at the Proximity Apartments nearby and this restaurant is literally not more than 200 metres from the front door. Our flight was late arriving in Auckland and the food outlets inside the nearby mall close at 9pm. This was open until 10. The menu was varied and the decor is cheerful. One negative factor was that all the tables felt âstickyâ as though theyâd been wiped with a cloth soaked in lemonade. I heard another patron complain but the waitress said she couldnât fix it. It was it was very disconcerting and detracted from the meal. Another peculiarity was that we couldnât buy beer or wine until the manager/licensee returned. This was about 15 minutes later. Food was good so a take away might be better.

It's a buffet restaurant. There were plenty of starters, such as pawns, chickens, lamb, fish, kumara, pineapples all done on skewers resting on the charcoal stove in the slot of your table, so you could enjoy them at your own pace. Wonderful idea !After that there were still plenty of Indian mains such as butter chicken, fis/ chicken curries, rice naan bread etc. to choose from; plus desserts to finish. The staff were professional and attentive. We had a lovely relaxing dinner.Highly recommended.

Go to Maraetai very few months but my first time eating here. And it was real treat. There was a wide ranging menu and I was with a group of six, who were able to choose their normal Indian favourites as well as one or two new items. Clearly there was also a choice of 'hotness"', which was helpful ás we were a mixture of UK/NZ. Kingfisher beer was also on tap. The food arrived within a reasonable time, there were quite a few customers, and there no complaints about the amount or the quantity. Quite a bit was shared and I must say that it simply gave us as individual's, a chance to think about what we may order on a further visit. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. Overall, we were very pleased. The restaurant was cheaper than a number of Indian restaurants I go to in Wellington, and the food here matches the better ones. Would certainly come again, or get a takeaway which is also on offer.
