Ginger Indian Restaurant was established in 2007 with a passion to serve the original Indian flavour. We strictly follow Mughlai cuisine in the real authentic form and give people the feel of Mughal-Era. Has Gluten Free, Vegan, Jain & 100% veg menu.
Our group of 11 enjoyed a delcious banquet here, selected from a very extensive menu. The food was excellent, very tasty, with very generous servings and well presented. The restaurant is a pleasant space, with comfortable seating and a tasteful decor. The service was prompt, friendly and attentive. Both the food and drinks were very reasonably priced, and the overall experience was really excellent.

This used to be my favourite Indian restaurant in Sydney. I have taken so many of my friends and family to this place over the years. But, I had a few of bad experiences recently. I visited last week with my family from overseas only to show them my favourite Indian restaurant in Sydney when the food turned out to be pathetic. I complained to the waitress who told me that the food for our table was cooked by someone else as the chef was away at that moment. She sent complimentary deserts for our table which was also pathetic and which we didn't want. I was shocked to see how casual they were about the incident and did nothing much to offer remedy even when she knew I am very regular there. I won't visit this place anymore. Luckily, I have found equally good places, if not better.
We have recently had a wonderful experience at this restaurant in Lidcombe. We ordered an amazing entree, then we had 2 mains with a variety of Naan Bread as an accompaniment. What a meal, not enough words to describe how delicious, tender and yummy they were. We would highly recommend this restaurant and next time we are in Sydney, we will be back for more.
On a recent business trip to Sydney, we decided to find a good Indian restaurant. I am pleased to say " Mission Accomplished". On first impression as it forms part of the Motor Inn, one would think, this will be a real "pot luck" experience. Until you step inside where the décor immediately lets you know, "This is an Indian restaurant". We were greeted by our hostess who was very helpful in offering various selections. We had the chicken Tikka Masala, Kadai Chicken & Chicken Madras with Nan bread. The food was amazing, to say the least. One of our guest originates from Southern India and he even commented how amazing the food tasted. If you are in this area and looking for great Indian food, don't miss this one, you won't be disappointed.

If this is actually the most famous biryani in Pakistan then I'm really disappointed. We ordered chicken biryani which was strictly below average. Too oily and strong on tomato flavour. Shami kebab was very poor. But the worst was the firni. It was like eating glue. We couldn't eat more than 2 spoons. Gulab jamun was very good though. Avoid the kulfi also. Overall extremely poor and disappointing food. Not returning.

I am in Sydney for almost an year now. I have tried many restaurants. By far, the best north Indian food that I had was at Abhis. The restaurant has a decent ambience as well. High Chairs available for kids. I ordered palak chaat, Dal Makhni, Nans, Butter Chicken, Shahi Paneer, and Double ka maza. The food was well prepared and presented. will definitely go again.

Here at Itihaas, we endeavour to create an traditonal Indian gourmet experience which elevates the emotional and physical well-being of our guests. â A 70 seat contemporary restaurant in the heart of the Parramatta, Itihaas is named after the history of i
We were looking for a place with vegan options, as two of our daughters are vegetarian, and the other is vegan, so we settled on Itihaas, as Parramatta is pretty central to all of us. We were pleasantly surprised by the choices, understanding many places can't/don't cater for vegans, and we had decided all six of us would eat vegan to make sharing dishes easier. There were enough vegan options to allow us to order five different mains, rice, and two breads, and all the food was delicious. My favourite was Rajasthani Bhindi, "a delicacy of tender baby okra sauteed with mango powder and tomatoes". the service was excellent, and Happy Hour from 5 -7pm with $5 Kingfisher beer added to the night. Can recommend the house Shiraz, also. We'll be back!

Have tried different items of their menu all together and really enjoyed them. Took our order even though we were too late. They tried to serve us their best. Chefs are working hard to cope with the volume of orders, no doubt.

The restaurant is on the Liverpool Road in Burwood and getting parking can be a challenge. The food here is awesome and authentic Indian. We had the vegetable platter, assortment of breads, village special chicken curry and paneer kurchan. All of them were lip smacking good. The ambiance is ok but not fine dining. The service is very friendly and prompt.
