I'd seen lots of reviews for this place and was disappointed when I went to book online as it appeared to be fully booked for early evening. I rang and managed to book, no problem. We were not disappointed, the table was wider than usual which is usually an issue when you're ordering lots of dishes but this was great. We ordered pickles and popadoms to start and then 3 dishes to share with rice and garlic naan. All really really tasty and to be honest one dish each would have been enough but I enjoyed it all and will definitely be back.

Nutan strongly believes âyou are what you eatâ its run single-handedly by one woman so your food quality is assured. We serve home cooked North Indian style of food we serve with simplicity, laughter, and love. . Bear in mind it's a casual dining place ou
Nutan's is one of our favourite little restaurants, and Nutan herself is an absolute joy - always cheerful, warm and happy and up for a good chat. The food is wholesome and authentic, nothing fancy and very reasonably priced. Nutan's is just the place for a nice dinner after a busy day, or before a film at the nearby cinemas, or during Fringe if you just fancy getting away from the busier areas of town.

Been using this place for carryouts and initially exceptional but it has all gone downhill. Last time I bought the most expensive meal with king prawns and the prawns were dreadful; tough, tasteless and tiny. They stooped accepting credit cards too.Hi EdinburghNomad,Thanks for your recent order with us, we would like to apologise that you feel it wasn't the best experience on this occasion. We take great pride in our food and the service we provide, we were surprised to hear that you had a poor experience , next time if you contact us straight away we will always look into any issues that customers have and rectify these as best we can.

Went here after researching on tripadvisor. The restaurant was extremely clean and the staff very friendly. All four of us agreed that all of our meals were top quality and good portions, we would all highly recommend this establishment and will return the next time we are in Edinburgh

Great family run restaurant, decent menu for all strengths of curries, we had starters and a mild chicken and a hot lamb curry which were both excellent. We bought a bottle of red at a nearby supermarket for a fiver as we knew the premises does not have a license so again excellent value. Would happily recommendHello thereGreat review, thank you so much! Edinburgh's Voujon, translated as invitation to dine, has been serving Indian and Bengali food in the Newington area of the city since 2005. The bright, airy and contemporary dining area, complete with simple floral displays and leather seating which invi
Really good menu with a wide choice, and while dishes had plenty of flavour they were mercifully lacking in excessive grease or fat - which Indian food can be prone towards. Good staff too. The restaurant looks fresh, modern and with some lovely large lamp shades hanging from the ceiling. Why I do not give it excellent is that those beautiful soft large lamps were not on, and instead there was very harsh bright lighting from the ceiling. This robbed the restaurant of any ambience. So easily remedied. And maybe that night whoever was in charge didn't realise how important lighting is. Otherwise an excellent evening.Dear TiggyWalkerFirst of all thank you very much for choosing to dine at voujon. This is a must in Edinburgh. In town from NYC and came here based on all the other strong reviews - everything was perfect! We had the ghobi Bora, Badshahi Borisa, chicken Madras and the Dupiazie Sabzi. Each dish was more delightful than the last.Thank you for your review.Very happy to read that you enjoyed all the things you tried and found the service incredible.Hope to see you the next time you are in Edinburgh.

Multi-Award winner Bombay Lounge is truly highly recommended. Situated in Dalkeith, Edinburgh this Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant really made me miss home. On arrival for our 7 pm booking, we were greeted by friendly staff. Once seated, Michael Singh (owner of the restaurant) came over and introduced himself and welcomed us. What a vibrant man, for an owner to be working side by side with his staff and connecting with his guest, is the #1 secret in bringing your guest back time and time again. Within seconds our friendly waiter provided our menu's. We not only had an amazing dinner but the close attention to detail, cleanliness and service were of top quality. So glad my sister chose Bombay Lounge, being away from home for more than 2 months I really missed my Durban, SA curry and I enjoyed the best curry ever last night. As an ex-hospitality industry owner, I experience once again the love and passion an owner has for his restaurant, staff and guests. Thank you once again for a lovely meal and evening.

I was recommended to eat here by my host at Rathan House, B + B. A smart restaurant, with freshly starched, white tablecloths and a pleasant ambience. I enjoyed a mild lamb curry (can't recall exactly which one) with spinach bajee. Good food, well-presented. I accompanied it with a pint of Kingfisher.Had a long chat with the proprietor who knew Cambridge well - my nearest city. A very pleasant, straightforward man.Strongly recommended.Hello John, it was a pleasure to host you and I'm glad you had an excellent experience at Itihaas. Many thanks for taking time out to review Itihaas and write such wonderful compliments. All the best and look forward to a future visit on your return. Thank you.

We extend a warm welcome to you from everyone at The Radhuni. We are based in Loanhead, minutes from Straiton Shopping Centre and IKEA. We are Midlothian's Premier Indian Restaurant, founded in 2011 and a reasonable 15-20 minute drive from Edinburgh City
Weâve had many a good meal here, and Iâve been duly lavish with praise, but this was not one of them. A pity too as we brought our Turkish relatives and their friends, so we were a bit embarrassed by the lower-than-usual standard. This especially so as we have been telling our daughter how good the Radhuni is. Some of us ordered from the tapas menu, whilst others ordered from the regular menu. Most items were not hot enough to enjoy. No heated trays were provided, even for the regular dishes. Apparently, they donât provide warmers for the tapas dishes. The onion bhajis were either overdone or reheated. We didnât eat them, but we werenât charged. We were charged for 8 poppadoms, but ordered 4. The bill was adjusted to account. The rice order was wrong and we got charged as though it had been right. Again, the bill was adjusted. No adjustment was made for the tepid food. I did not request adjustment, but said I would be making a point to ask the staff to ensure our food is hot when we are next in. We were in quite early. About 6pm I think. The weather had just cooled (6 August), and we all felt the place was a little too cool for comfort. The arrangement seemed as though waiting staff were helping in the kitchen, and not doing as good a job as the regular kitchen folk. Iâm guessing that weâll avoid Tuesdays in future and certainly ask for waiting staff to ensure our food comes to the table hot.
