Had lunch here two days in a row, and bot the times the food was very tasty. They have a non veg section and a veg section. Tried both and was very impressed. Service i also warm, but what mattered was the food. Everything was very tasty. Comes with a lot of parking space and right on the road side.

So I had been hearing superlatives about the new restaurant started by Annâs who are synonymous with the bakery business in Central Travancore and further north. The interiors are well done, which immediately take you away to one of the better bistros in Delhi or Bombay. Shades of Indigo Deli splash all over the place. Which is not a bad thing at all.The heady aroma of freshly baked breads and cakes adds to the overall ambience of a serious food place. I had a cream of broccoli soup and a steak. Both were excellent and exceeded my expectations. In fact i was so impressed with the food, I was almost convinced this was by far the best restaurant in Kerala. But......So I happened to drop in two weeks later and sadly my opinion changed. I ordered for a grilled fish and some fried rice. The fish was not fresh and felt like it had spent its latter years inside a freezer than in the sea. In fact I suspect the fish they use is not freshly caught but the frozen packet fish type. If that was passable, the sauce they used was the same barbecue sauce they used for the steak and it just doesnât gel. The fried rice lacked creativity and was extremely dry too. Maybe I caught them on an off day, maybe not. But would I travel 30 kms just to have a meal here? Maybe not.

Made the mistake of Visiting with family. Ordered a barbecue platter which took about 30 minutes for delivery. Despite the long lead time they served a COLD platter. This is the first time ever I saw a babreque platter being served cold. Taste was ordinary too. The restaurant staff is absolutely clueless in handling crowd during peak hours. Rating this service âpatheticâ would still serve as a complement for the worst quality service rendered by this joint. This is despite thier posh appearance and high pricing.

Indian Coffee House near the K.S.R.T.C. Bus Stand in Kottayam is one of the oldest restaurants which still maintains the old taste. Be it the masala dosai or a cutlet or a biryani, the taste is maintained.

Excellent place to have the best of veg kerela cuisine.Do visit between 12 noon to 2 p;m to savour their veg meals/thali(for north indians).Stunning food served the traditional way.Though their staff does not spek english/hindi but the manager comes and attends personally and serves the meal till a person can drop dead eating. The achars, chutneys ,veggies and curries are worth travelling for .You can stop on the way back from the visit to the Shiva temple from Kottyam.Otherwise a half hour drive from kovalam or 15 minutes from Kottyam.

Good Parking place. Good layout. Easy to spot as it is near a prime landmark (Manorama). The menu card is frayed - why they cannot give attention to this, beats me because it is the first to create the impression after the ambience. Tried the traditional non-veg food. Promised traditional Chicken Curry was not up to expectations. But the mutton fry was the one of the best I have tasted. Not very expensive too! Good for a lunch / dinner.

Best option is Anand. You can have variety of vegetarian dishes here. Apart from conventional Masaladosa and Gheerost, you can have nicely cooked mushrooms and Cauliflower here. Nevertheless great sweets like Mysore pack, laddu and gilebi awaits you to keep your taste buds on....
