We found this small restaurant in Anegundi while staying at Peshagar guest house. It is run by a family and serves clean, tasty vegetarian fair. Just give them a call half an hour in advance for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Their puri and aloo sabji is among the best i have ever had and i suggest you give it a try. This place is ideal for a fast breakfast before heading out to explore anegundi or Hampi

The place is in the open and good for a lunch on a cloudy day. There are two thali options with a price difference of 50% but the expensive one is worth the price for its remarkable taste of Banana Flower Curry and extremely soft pooris.
Nice ambiance with rice field and lake view from the sitting area, close to reservoir road. Restaurant open from 0700 to 2230 and serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack. We have a wide variety of food from different cultures such as Indian, Chinese, It

I am very unhappy with the guy there. We were a bit late and that guy first told us that there is nothing in the kitchen except for rice and dal and we agreed to eat that. And even after half an hour, he didn't serve us food. Whereas I could see he was serving all kind of food to foreign tourists. In the end we simply came out of the place.
Hampi's Top Secret Restaurant is in middle of Hampi Bazaar. It's a Roof top restaurant where you will get lying beds and sitting table to relax and enjoying the delicious food and drinks with lovely music.
Top Secret is a great new Hampi restaurant tucked into a beautiful and relaxed corner near to the river. The food is delicious, much less oily than many other local restaurants and reasonably priced, but my favorite part of this restaurant is the guys that run it. They are all young and friendly and make an effort to know your name and will help you with whatever you need. As a solo female traveler it is great to have a location where you feel comfortable and safe. I have spent a lot of time in Hampi and am always needing places with WiFi to sit and work and Top Secret is my favorite. Sometimes the WiFi can be spotty but that's true for all locations in the area. The open air is beautiful and the space has lots of comfortable seating and fans, etc. They also run an attached guesthouse (Vicky's Guesthouse) that I have not stayed in but is an affordable option for housing on this side of the river.

Rated highly on LP we took the walk in the mid-day heat across Hampi with high expectations. Location was OK but on a busy Vittala Temple walkway. Regrettably the abysmally poor food was only eclipsed by the even worse service... We were the only folks there - but slow service at first then they forgot an item after I had finished eating! (Almost ALL Indian restos do NOT write an order down or even an item no.!) My food was swimming in Ghee (a simple paneer masala) and my wife's was worse over-ghee'ed with no discernable flavour. Quite possible the worst meal we have ever had in India.... Choose with care!
