Best food in bodhgaya
Not sure why the reviews are so good for this place, we went for dinner during our trip to Bodhgaya/Gaya and were not impressed. Rats in the restaurant!! Flickering light above the table, plenty of mosquitos buzzing around. The "coconut milk yum tum soup" - if I remember the name right - did not have any coconut milk, but was tasty. The paneer in the Chilli Paneer was burnt. Many items were "not available". Rest of the food was OK, we had some of the chinese items. Service was good.
Brand new hotel so the ambiance is clean and food is good
On a recent visit with 15 guests, we encountered one of our most embarrassing moments. The food had been ordered in advance but 30 minutes after reaching the restaurant we were informed that they cannot serve us the particular regular dish. The restaurant was stinking badly and they did not even care to sprinkle some room freshener. The table cloth was badly soiled so were the glasses and plates. On bringing this to the notice of the waiter we were told that nothing can be done since we had not told at the outset. Sensing his non cooperative nature we settled to drink water straight out of the bottle to avoid falling sick. The food took almost 90 minutes to reach the table and the waiters could not distribute the same equally resulting in half the group not getting any dal or vegetables. The chilly chicken was terrible but the only grace was the Dal. Few of the rotis were uncooked and had to be returned. The meal left us with a bad taste and experience. We paid through our noses for such substandard stuff and lousy service. The entire lunch outing lasted almost 150 minutes due to the delayed service. We had to face humiliation infront of our guests.

The restaurants of Bodhgaya seem to be perpetually empty so finding somewhere to eat isn't easy unless you want to dine somewhere that's deserted. We stumbled across this place and were drawn in by the number of locals hanging around eating chaat. The restaurant upstairs was inevitably empty so we decided to join them downstairs in the stand up, eat fast area. We tried the chole batura and the samosa. The chole was OK but the batura was very greasy. The samosas were nice. Very cheap but not great.
Foodies a family restaurant based upon the theme of Indian, Chinese,Mughlai, Tandoor, and Biryani too valuable price comfortable seating good infrastructure and also at market GB Road Opp T Model school near Bombay bazaar.

I have been a regular visitor over past couple of months to work from the cafe and was surprised to find such an amazing place in Bodh Gaya. Freshly prepared tasty food, reasonably priced as compared to other coffee chains, amazing ambience and excellent choice of music! Parmatma is really attentive and helpful looking after the guests. Quirky pleasant decor, with only one hitch...feel books should have been placed on a side shelf to browse through rather being stuck on ceiling...
Sambar Chutny is a good place in Gaya to have south indian fare.. the idlis were one of the best in this region which i have tasted..soft and delicious.
The Amazing Bollywood Themed Resaurant.
It has friendly service and excellent food. We ordered around five chicken dishes and three vegetarian dishes, and they were all delicious. It is having a four storied building with ample sitting arrangements. It doesn't sell a cake, so you need to be prepared if you are going there to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or some other functions.
Vandana Sweets has its deep rooted history in the form of a small retail Sweets & Namkeen shop in Gaya, a significant city in Bihar. We strive to ensure that our food products retain Freshness and Superior Hygiene until they are packed and dispatched, be
vandana sweets is perfect choice for sweet lovers.nice outlook as well as inlook.excellent quality of fresh sweets, samosas are available at vey good price.but i liked most the chaat.the chaats were very delicious and awesome.
The best litti chokha in town is probably from Yuvraj. Littis are basically wheat flour balls stuffed with a bit of roasted gram flour with a dash of green chillies, garlic and onions. And these wheat balls are roasted on show fire till they are done. Eaten with chokha which is a spicy mixture of potato and brinjals.Loved it and strongly recommended.
