If you are anywhere near Weybridge by car or train, this gem of a restaurant must be visited. There is a good range of authentic Nepalese cuisine to satisfy all palates, and (a major plus point) what must be the best and widest vegetarian choices for many
After having visited last in 2016 where I remembered it to be delicious I was keen to return. The raita with the poppadoms was too thick and processed. The Himalayan chicken was bland, with large chunks of chicken (mini fillets) which were grisley. The phewa lamb was just ok. Sag paneer also bland. Rice and naan were average.I donât know if the restaurant had an off night (due to the good TA reviews) or if it really has just gone downhill. Regardless, we wonât be returning and wouldnât recommend.

Visited on rainy Saturday afternoon. Had some lovely dishes, tasty and good portions. Pau Bhaji, Kema Naan, Chicken Wings, Chilli Mogo and Samosa Chaat. The mogo was overcooked, the marinade was lovely though. Service was not bad, we didnât get asked for top up drinks or water. Could be improved on. The restaurant felt cold, could have done with heating cranked up as the place was only a third full. Would have given it 4/5 but the mogo (pretty easy to get right, service and cold restaurant were my reasons for 3). Weâd visit again so it canât be all bad.

Though our food will tell you our story. Modern Indian Cuisine brought to you by world class chefs in a rustic but cosy setting.
We're not regulars here (yet) but have eaten a few times. Evenings at the weekend are buzzing (service is still good) but lunchtime works the best for us - it's much quieter. The menu is small and well selected (and undergoes an occasional tweak). Starters are all tasty (chicken chops, samosa chat our favourites) and the mains are universally good (pork vindaloo is just divine). It's difficult to fault a restaurant like this - it's a rival to Mr Todiwala's Cafe Namaste Spice in London, but much better value for money. It's a fine place, and they have made a fantastic job in creating a restaurant with atmosphere (even though it's on the Ewell bypass).I can't speak highly enough of Dastaan & wish them continuing success.

Phewa takes its name from one of the mesmerising lakes in Nepal. It was Nepal where our Head Chef mastered the art of fine gastronomic cooking, so that every dish is healthy and beautifully presented. We only use authentic, natural and fresh flavours! All
Been using this restaurant since it opened and in that time (three years?) it has simply got better and better. Love the chaps masala here and all the dishes are tasty and consistently good. The staff make you welcome and, worryingly now know my name, which is a bit special.

A restaurant serving the exciting taste of many regions of India combined with style, flair and presentation.
Year since my last visit. Quality and standards as high as ever. Always have the meat thali as rare in Indian restaurants. Dishes different to your usual Indian menus. Absolutely wonderful. Service impeccable. Busy even on a Monday night. Free car park outside.

First time here and what a gem! Almost donât want to say how good because too many people will then come. A delight. Excellent service. The menu is not vast but it is sufficient. If you are vegetarian , vegan, coeliac then this is definitely the place for you. Meat eaters have sufficient choice too.A real cut above the usual Indian restaurant. I cannot praise the place highly enough. Canât wait to go back!Hi JaneThank you for writing this review, don't worry we dont have too many people...yet. You are sure to get a table here.We can't wait to serve you again!Kind RegardsVinny

This is a small restaurant which serves really good, tasty indian cusine. Staff are very friendly and polite. Price wise the average cost of a meal is very competitive and cheaper than many of the other Esher restaurants. Booking is recommended as it is a
Ordered a takeaway from here and waited 2 hours. Called them after 1hr 30 and they lied that it was out for delivery and there was an accident their driver was stuck. This place is less than 5min drive from our house and we checked traffic reports online and there was absolutely no traffic anywhere between us and the restaurant that evening. They sajd that their driver was just down the road from our house to which we waited a further 30min and still no one turned up. On getting through to Deliveroo customer service we were told a different story that the takeaway had never actually left the restaurant. The restaurant also responded to my earlier review with further lies saying that Deliveroo had cancelled the order at 8.19pm, however we spoke to the restaurant at 8.45pm a full 25 minutes later which was when they told us the the lies about the accident and the driver being down the road. If the order was cancelled why not tell us at that point instead of lying that the order was out for delivery? If they blame Deliveroo for their mess why are they working with Deliveroo in the first place. Appalling attitude all round towards their customers.Hi Teresa,Thank you again for your review as Trip Advisor advised us that your previous review was removed due to its breaches their guidelines. However as a customer oriented establishment we always welcome fair, honest and reasonable reviews as delivering a quality food with high standards services is always remain our top priority. But let us explain the issues again ;Firstly you did not order through us directly and due to a technical glitches with Deliveroo we received your order late. But we did received a call from Deliveroo to make the food in 20 minutes. As we do not sell microwave food therefore we politely declined Deliveroo request and later we learned that Deliveroo cancelled your order and compensated you fully. However our manager spoke with a gentleman around 8:35 and explain the issues but we really do not know how you got all this .We understand itâs really frustrating but itâs nothing to do with Esher Tandoori and you can not held us responsible for your order not being delivered. We have been rated one of the best Indian in this surrounding areas due to our high quality food and under any circumstances we will not let our quality to go down as we always aim to keep our food and services services consistent to keep our customers happy. Unfortunately, we do not succumb to threats as we are open & transparent and welcome you to visit us before placing your order.

Jolshiri names after a mystical river famed in poetry, is the exciting new sister restaurant to the highly acclaimed and award winning Sesame in New Maldon. Our menu is carefully designed by our chefs to appeal to the taste of those newer curry fans as we
This was one of our favourite places however after the last visit, we won't be going anymore. I don't know what's happened. It was never very cheap but the food was always good and we felt it was worthwhile. However, not this time. When our curries arrived, couldn't believe how small they were! Normally we'd have 2 naans, one rice between us and a curry each and it was enough. We were still hungry. And the curries were just ordinary., at best The naan bread was also small and somewhat burnt - more than it should be. Since when do they charge so much for a few dips for the poppadoms? We didn't ask for them and hardly touched them and were charged! The atmosphere was not good and we felt somewhat ripped off when we left. Such a shame. Unlikely to ever return.Thank you for your feedback on the good quality of our food. We are pleased to know that Jolshiri is one of your favourite restaurants. We are sorry to hear that your last visit was not as enjoyable as your previous ones because of the issues you raised in your feedback. We could have done our best to resolve your issues during your visit had of you reported to us at the time. Can you please email us your contact details to [email protected] or call on 01372 468 996 in the evening .
