Myself and 2 of my sons visited Bollywood restaurant Wednesday 2/10/2019 .Iâve been 3 times now in just over a year and I was remembered on both of my revisits even though they werenât close together I really can not express how good the service is at Bollywood restaurant. The food was again cooked to perfection and value for money is unbeatable .At the end of August I ordered from their takeaway menu and that was also excellent.I was pleasantly surprised for a Wednesday evening to find the restaurant over half full but as busy as they were it didnât have any negative impact on the service we received or the swiftness of receiving our food .Iâve said it before and Iâll say it again now â if you havenât been yet go try it for yourselves you wonât be disappointed â

Visiting with friends and taking advantage of the pre theatre menu at £15.95. For this you get 2 courses and a choice of certain drinks. I had a glass of wine , it is a small measure of wine but I was happy with this as I was driving. Starter was lamp chops which were delicious and spicy side salad and dips. Main was chicken tikka masala, this was disappointing as you are given a bowl of orange sauce to fish for the chicken. To be fair there was an adequate amount of chicken but sauce was plain not veg in the sauce that you would normally get such as onions. Chicken was not tender and quite chewy. With the main you have a choice of rice, chips or naan. As a suggestion as many of the others left most of their naans it would be better to give less rice and a couple of pieces of naan so you can have both.

Always enjoy eating here and generally the food is always great quality and tasty, on the small chance of any issues the waiters are quick to rectify anything. Only negatives are that they do charge a significant amount more then the local competition but I guess you get what you pay for

Wow what can I say. An amazing restaurant. On arrival we were greeted and seated and made to feel most welcome.Lovely and clean.Ordered drinks while we looked at the menu. Ordered a variety of different dishes between 5 of us. The owner/waiter was attentive and so polite explained the dishes perfectly. Our starters arrived and were so beautifully presented and tasty, meat was succulent and juicy.Mains arrived and we were totally blown away with massive array of food that filled the table. This restaurant has won many awards and no surprise either, deserves to win many many more. I wish Iâd taken photos.I/we will 100% be back for another feast

This restaurant is located on a side street near a derelict building but the restaurant had been highly recommended so despite appearances we visited anyway. The food was delicious and the wine was really good too. Service was friendly and I would definitely return if in the area again.

Visited Shalimar Gold for the first time & had a wonderful dining experience with my family. From the moment we walked through the door, the staff greeted us with a warm welcome, the food, atmosphere and service was amazing. I would like to mention the attentiveness of Imran who really made an impact on us. The table staff were all wonderful but Imran was so professional and polite and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend a visit to Shalimar Gold. Thankyou for a wonderful dining experience! Ram Lal

Not your usual Indian menu. Itâs short and has many dishes you wonât have heard of. None of the long list of various curry styles with meat, chicken or prawn.I had a hot fish starter. Fish fried in batter with a hot sauce. Lovely. Poppadoms with various relishes, a peshwari Naan, and we shared a lamb and a prawn dish. Delicate flavours with coconut cream for the prawn, faultless, and more robust curry with rich tomato sauce for the lamb.Best Indian meal for a long time. Thank you for your response. We have a lot of dishes and always happy to substitute to your request. We're happy to add meat or fish. Please ask a member of staff when visiting again. We are happy you enjoyed our different dishes.
