This place has been struggling to balance good karma and bad karma . Itâs either the foods great and the service is crap or vice versa. After coming under a severe pr blow for food hygiene they have comeBack strong trying to be more transparent and new food promotions . The major problem i find here is that the waiters/ servers have been instructed to be nice but not pay attention (use the brain ) when certain specific instructions are given to the waiters they nod their head and bring the complete Opposite of whatâs been said . This is so very typical in Sri Lanka . I believe Indian summer could do better to train the staff well and genuinely deliver superior value in food and service equally . As for the food itâs good just occasionally a bit salty .

Shanmugas used to be one of the top places to dine and eat in Colombo, especially when it came to South Indian cuisine. We ordered lunch takeout this time around and were quite let down by the quality and flavors. The curries were sub-par. They all tasted the same. The sambar was just watery and had no proper ingredients. It was just unpleasant to enjoy. They need a makeover and get back on track. Not sure about their quality on Dosa's and Idly's. But given my experience with the Rice and Curry, I am not inclined to try it out.

I am visiting Sri Lanka and took my family to lunch at Ayu. The reservation process was simple. The food was diverse and very scrumptious. The staff was friendly. The only constructive feedback is the service was extremely slow. We ordered drinks and it took a long time, the water was not filled in a timely manner etc. There were only three ladies to serve the entire restaurant. There were many busboys but in the typical Asian mindset there was a hierarchy.Overall good place to take family.Thank you Binodhs for taking the time to share your feedback. We have noted your constructive comments and sorry to hear that your overall experience was not as positive as it should have been. However, please do give us another chance at AYU and we will ensure your experience will be much better! Thank you once again.

They offer really good food for a very reasonable price . Iâve been eating from this place for more than 6 years now and it never let me down. Good place to bring some friends and throw a party ( specially when you are on a budget but you need a decent place to have a good lunch ).They have a chicken biriyani which you can taste the real Indian spices and that masala . I normally buy a batter fried cauliflower with cashew nut as the starter and itâs great ...!!!!! I would love to taste more and more of their food and not like other restaurants I donât feel any doubt when ordering a new one as I know for sure itâs going to be delicious...!!! To the management - Please Keep up your service and the taste of your food without any falls and wish you good luck ..!!!

I must say that the refurbished Hilton is definitely architecturally far more pleasing than expected, especially the lobby area and what is now called the Graze Kitchen, formerly the Spices Restaurant. The renovation definitely took the jaded furnishing up a notch in the Graze Kitchen. The good news is that the beautiful pond is still visible from inside. The food is placed in a pleasing display and is a blend of Asian, Fusion and Western, with an abundance of choice. The new eating nooks give a sense of privacy which I liked very much. I believe it caters to most palates. It certainly has a good ambience with subdued lighting and attentive staff. I would ask anyone to try it out!
