This is one restaurant we frequently visit. Good food, quick service and turnaround, movenpick icecream. What more can you ask for. Don't expect a great dining experience. It's usually quite crowded, especially over the weekends. Decor is minimal, service, politeness and courtesy are to the point. But when you want to catch a movie in an hour and also want good food, you can't go wrong with this. Achari Gobi, Paneer Makhani, Daal Makhani, Garlic naan, cheese and onion kulcha etc. are our usuals. Ziafat has served us a number of times, very happy with his services. Food is a bit oily at times, but taste is authentic unlike some other pretend desi restaurants where curries taste sweeter and naans go chewy in 26 seconds. Not here

Absolutely blown away by this little gem of a restaurant. Could fault nothing. Looks inviting from the outside and we received a warm welcome inside. Spotless including toilets. Tastefully decorated. Lovely ambiance. Service just as we like it. Food was the best we had tasted in a long time. Excellent presentation and piping hot. Tuesday is a special offer night. £9.99 for popadom and dips, choice of starter, main, rice or bread. We thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Bring your own booze option was a nice surprise. Shop a couple of doors down to buy. Highly recommended.

Visited on fathers day evening so was fairly busy. A new menu since our last visit, prices have increased slightly but still excellent value for the quality of food and size of portions. Skipped starters and had mains only - the mixed grills were huge and the curry (jalfrezi) was really tasty.Great food and service, we will visit again.

Visited 09 October 2019.There is a midweek deal whereby a starter, main, side dish and naan/rice are all available for just under £13.The food was cooked and presented very well. Service was quick and friendly. There was also an ice cream freebie at the end.I would recommend this restaurant highly and look forward to visiting again next time we are in the area.

Unbelievably good every time we go here, which is most weekends. Either takeaway or sit in. Never had a bad experience and dishes are always excellent every time. Staff are very friendly too.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a relative after recently struggling to find a good, reasonably priced Indian restaurant. We have now visited the Balti Cottage twice and were very pleased with our meals on both occasions. There is an extensive menu, the pricing is reasonable and the service is good. The food is very good quality and very nicely spiced. The flavours and ingredients taste fresh and the naan breads are very light compared with other Indian restaurants. It is a licenced restaurant but drinks are nice and reasonably priced. There is a good choice of Indian beers. We visited with different sets of friends on both occasions and all have said they would come back to eat here again. I think we have just found our new favourite Indian restaurant!

Visited with family for a birthday only to wait 2 1/2 hours without starters,2 meals sent back as not cooked.paid for drinks as we went along only to be billed again by them, service was discusting having to keep asking for water as no jugs on table.bill was was £219.00 for 11 meals disgrace.much better restaurants local that can canter with a groups, avoid.Thank you for your review, we always try to give our customers excellent service but due to it being extremely busy we weren't able to meet your exceptions. Hope you could excuse our lateness and give us another chance to make up for it.

Fully Licensed Restaurant
Lovely welcome. Music slightly annoying but friendly service. Great menu choice. Chicken tikka starter, plenty of chicken and salad but chicken slightly over cooked. Lovely mint sauce. Chicken Jaipur full of mushrooms, onions, peppers etc but not a lot of chicken. Naan bread absolutely perfect My husband had the chicken and mushroom balti, large portion, chicken overdone and not a lot of chicken.

Recommended to eat here from a local hotel - and it was well worth it. Cracking food, good value and decent service. Unfortunately on the night we attended, a bunch of travellers were behaving awfully and left the restaurant without paying a bill, which understandably caused the owner / manager a lot of angst. This resulted in slightly "off" service as he struggled with horrible customers - which in retrospect was understandable. He dealt with the situation well and couldn't have been more apologetic. Food was AWESOME!
