Find out what Indian restaurants to try in Cardiff. The Welsh capital may have begun its life as a Roman fort, but it's since become a bustling city. Where the fort once stood, Cardiff Castle has held court since the 11th century. It remains a central presence in the city, now full of lively art and music venues, hip boutiques, fun bars and modern hotels. Even with so many new and exciting things to see, the National History Museum is still the most visited attraction in Wales. Don't be the only visitor who plays hooky!

Here at Indian Marigold we are constantly striving to improve our service and quality in order to give our customers the very best experience. As a result, we are finally proud to unveil and introduce our latest improvement, our new online ordering websit
Would definitely reccomend here to couples, families, anybody really. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was cooked to perfection ( we especially loved the Chill coriander naan, probably the best one we've had) after our meal we wasn't rushed to leave and they also waited a while which I thought was appropriate to give us the desert menu. Would definitely reccomend!

We are temporarily closed while we prepare our new venue for service. Our new home will be at 12 High street CF10 1AX.We're very excited to be able to offer you new dishes, events and many more surprises on the way so watch this space!
What can I say. We arrived at 5pm for an evening meal because we were booked in to watch a show at the St David's Hall. Although they were due to close at 6pm, we didn't feel rushed at all. Our table waiter was absolutely lovely and was very helpful. If you come here expecting the usual curry experience with chicken tikka masala or a chicken korma, you'll be disappointed. Truth is, the menu is a little different and looks a little sparse at first glance. Fact is, the dishes are so flavorful and delicate, you'll be blown away. We both had the mixed bhaji starter which was so wonderful. We then had the Thali which came with a selection of delicious currys, spicey potatoes, popadoms and jappati bread. We opted for the level of spice to be standard but you can ask for it to be slightly milder if you wish. My wife did find some elements to be too spicey for her taste. It's a shame that they are still waiting for their alcohol licence (come on Cardiff Council, get your act together!). This will be the perfect Indian cuisine experience when they are able to serve a nice glass of wine, Cobra beer or Kingfisher beer and open later into the evening. Good luck to all involved. We will be back next time we're in Cardiff.

Wide range of Vegan & Gluten free meals served
We ended our surf-filled weekend with dinner from here. It was well worth the visit. For starters we had: onion pakora, paneer, mixed grill and oven baked mushrooms. For our mains we had: vindaloo, biryani, butter chicken and prawn mango curry. All accompanied with an ice cold mango lassi. All our food was fresh and delicious. The service was courteous and considerate. We would definitely recommend trying this restaurant. Be advised; they donât accept card payments on Sundays.

We thought we'd give this a place ago as it's relatively new and we always like discovering new places to have a good curry. Unfortunately we were a little mislead by the sign outside, which offered two courses for a bargain price. There was no sign of this banquet offer, however, when we were given the menus. The food we ordered was fine, fair portion sizes and we could taste some fresh spices. It's a BYO place, and they provide you with glasses, corkscrews etc. Easy enough to pop into the nearby Tescos to pick up beers. The decor is a bit odd, white chairs with plastic diamante stuck on, which was falling off in places. The dress code for the staff is also inconsistent, with some smartly dressed and others in track suit bottoms. Having said that there were no problems with the service.

Went tonight after Cardiff Half for a treat before returning home to England. All I can say is if I had eaten the meal then I think I would have been very ill. When complained the chef/owner was extremely abusive and banned me for life. Fine as I donât want food poisoning or a bad meal. We only went as trip advisor has great reviews but think they may be fixed.

After receiving dreadful service & quality from the nearby competitor Nahin Spice Centre ( AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE) I decided to give this place a try.I wanted to order-order starters (canapés) for 40 people as I had a pre 6 nations rugby lunch the following day. Owner was present and together with all staff they gave outstanding service & advice. We picked take-away up at 12.30 and food quality was superb. 40 very happy eaters asking where we got food from.We will definitely use this place again, indeed as a local I canât believe Iâve never been before! Itâs very good.

My husband and I were a bit disappointed with what should be the second best Indian restaurant in Cardiff. The waiters were friendly but the service was slow, the food was okay but the lamb was tough and my excitement at seeing a cocktail list was shortlived as the waiter told me that the menu was new so they didn't have the cocktails available yet which seemed a bit. odd. All in all the food was nice enough but nothing special. It's very unfortunate that you didn't enjoy yourself as much as you could have with us. It's true that we've recently revamped the menu so we're having some short-term difficulties with it. Hopefully if you decide to try us out again in the future you'll be pleasantly surprised!

We are an authentic Indian restaurant. Our foods are inspired with Keralan spices and traditions. We love to use natural and local ingredients. We say No with artificial ingredients and colours.
We went here last night purely based on the reviews, as we aren't from the area. The reviews are right, it was amazing. The service was so friendly from everyone, and the food was excellent. We had the tasting menu 1, and we thought everything was delicious. Our only regret was having the poppadoms and homemade pickles to start with, they were lovely, but we were ridiculously full by the end of the night. Thank you to everyone there for making us feel so welcome.
