The place is right on the Binsar road and is very convenient for a quick bite and a cup of chai. The shop has all the basic necessities, they even have some clean basic rooms where we spent a night upon arrival tp Paparsali (as it was too dark to go downhill for our destination). And the owner Lali is a very friendly!
It was one of the finest dinner we had at this place . Their service was top class and food was tasty, delicious and sumptuous . A real relaxed dinner in a cold climate .Governor Amolak Rattan Kohli

Walking through the Kausani Market amidst drizzle, the road for the view of Himalayas led us to this place. This restaurant gave us a wonderful view of the Himalayas while the staffs were busy catering to our hunger pangs! The food is highly priced as per the portions served although it was not extraordinarily good. The ambience, the decor and the view of the Panchachuli peaks are perhaps the reason they attract the tourists much than their food.
Its a small Restaurant with Panoramic Himalaya view with delicious Indian,Chinese,Continental with Local Cuisine.
If you are on your way to Binsar or if you are touring the lovely meadows of Almora district, dont hesitate to visit Kasar Kitchen. Since I am a hard-core non-vegetarian and I was having a vegetarian tour of Uttarakhand, chancing upon Kasar Kitchen was like a blessing to me. It was off-season and most of the roadside eateries had their shutters down due to lack of tourists. When I discovered Kasar Kitchen on my way to Binsar, I was not sure what all it could offer and it was completely out of my imagination that it had a splendid sitting area inside overlooking the Himalayas. Kasar Kitchen is located in Deenapani, right next to Deenapani Tourist Rest House (KMVN) on Kasar Devi-Binsar Road. What attracted me to this shanty looking place was a foreign tourist who had parked his Royal Enfield infront and was checking the bike. A boy emerged from inside and handed over an aluminium foil to the foreign tourist. I was sure he was all set for a bike adventure and was waiting for the food to be packed. I walked inside Kasar Kitchen to discover a splendid restaurant in a natural set up. While it offered seating arrangement for people indoors, the most attractive part was the rickety seating arrangement outdoors. Overlooking the Himalayas and a green valley which changed shades with the movement of the Sun, Kasar Kitchen offered us a very picturesque view. I felt as if I could spend an entire day with a book and some coffee, some soup, some sandwiches or even a pizza over here. The best part of Kasar Kitchen is its variety of menu. Since it caters to a lot of tourists, it ensured to offer some cuisines to suit all appetites. Right from pizza, pasta, Maggi to sandwiches, biriyani, paratha and chicken curry, sabji, rice, fried rice, noodles, it offered everything. After speaking to the owner, who happens to be a Hospitality management graduate with rich experience in the hospitality industry, we came to know that Deenapani received a lot of tourists from Israel. To cater to them, Kasar Kitchen kept provision for all kinds of cuisine.
This restaurant is very near to Club Mahindra Binsar Valley resort. This is a good option for the tourists to have food in reasonable cost. On order they cook and serve. So you have a guaranteed fresh food. Only issue may be availability of vegetables. Clean place to eat.

Located in the majestic Himalayan ranges, Cuisine combined with pristine beauty of the Kumaon hills makes it perfect destination for holidays
The restaurant located on the ground floor of the eponymous hotel is ideal for travellers looking for a break and a good hot meal. Though we arrived a little after lunch hours and the restaurant was running short on manpower, they did serve up an excellent meal in a short time. As most of the items we requested off the menu were not available due to the aforesaid problems, we requested the waiter to bring us whatever was available. The food was absolutely excellent and fresh. The restaurant has outdoor seating with a view of the river and the hills and is ideal for a quick stop on a long journey. To top it all, it was extremely reasonable. A meal for two cost a total of INR 300.

Not Actually Almora, But far above where the beautiful views are in Mat Village, also known as "Kasar Devi". A short walk from Kasar Devi Mandira, and right next to Ewam Choekhor Ling retreat center. Dolma Restaurant is connected to New Dolma Hotel. Operated by a Lovely Tibetan family who have been here in Kasar Devi Since the time of the British Raj. I can only speak of the vegetarian fare, and in this category I can say that their veg thali is acceptable, while Tibetan cuisine is the best option here.

This is a small restaurant in Kausani, India serving delicious Indian vegetarian cuisine. I was there very recently and think a great tip for anyone visiting.
it is located in the market & is 2 km away from TRH Kasauni. they serve only veg food .apart from breakfst , lunch & dinner snacks are also available.we went for lunch after reading great reviews on trip advisor but were hugely disappointed with the food served.even the boiled rice were undercooked & rajma was flavourless.we ordered the local dish - moolee ka thechua which again tasted very bland . the food is made fresh but contributes to very slow service TIP - the taste is very bland for Indian palate. It is better to stick to simple fare served in the restaurants wherever you are staying in Kausani

I am here in the area for a four day visit. On my first day of visit I came in to the restaurant and no one greeted me or asked me if I wanted to sit down and eat. After searching for some staff and no response-I left. The next day I came back -the same treatment. The waiters were rushing around and virtually looked right through me. Not a greeting or any recognition or help.So today the third day I went up to the manager sitting at the desk and explained that I would like to eat there but the staff seems not to care about a solo traveler. He apologized and said that they had been very busy. He took my order and told me to sit down. I received my salad but my main order never came. I asked my waiter to check into it and another 20 minutes passed with no food. I went back up to the manager and he was slightly apologetic. He went to the kitchen and said that my order had not been placed. After already being there an hour I wasnât in the mood to wait longer. I told him I wanted to pay my bill. Under the circumstances I wouldâve hoped that he would have said it was complementary or at least a discount. But nothing. There were TripAdvisor award signs everywhere around the restaurant. From my perspective they are just resting on their laurels. I wouldnât advise going there unless you are staying at the hotel. Or if you are a party of four or more âperhaps they will pay attention to you.
