Possibly the worse curry we have ever eaten! My chicken dhansak tasted and looked like a tin of cream of tomato soup with some chilli added and my husbands madras and vegetable curry tasted identical and were like tomato ketchup with chilli. Such bright red dishes were certainly not like any dishes we have ever eaten before. The tiny meat samosas contained chopped meat rather than mince lamb and were tasteless (despite asking for a vegetable samosa!) On the up side, chicken tikka was very tasty. We told the waiter Shah about our dissatisfaction and he simply said that no one else had complained and took away our plates. We were very disappointed not to have had an opportunity to discuss our meals with the manager and paid our bill vowing never to return. We have eaten here several times and although the restaurant has always been empty, our meals have usually been good, but this experience shows a lack of customer care and we will not be returning. You have eaten the whole meal and u took rest of the meal as a doggy bag why are u still complaining I don't get it .u came so many times every time u look for something I don't think u are good coustomer for any business

Service was disappointing! Lots of shouting between waiters created a very noisy environment on top of guests and music. Restaurant was dead, still good an hour after our starter for the mains to come out. Was only three of us sharing, one poor man waited for his takeaway for like 40mins!!! I wouldnât go back nor would I recommend to others. Better curry restaurants in the local and surrounding area.

We had a great value Travelzoo voucher for 2 courses and a glass of fizz. The setting is idyllic, the young staff are lovely and very efficient and the food is fabulous. As we walked in I saw the Thai menu and assumed it was only available on certain nights, so was very pleased to be given this menu as well as the standard one as it was included in the deal. The curry was very pleasingly hot (maybe too much for some people but perfect for me!). A great place, and I hope to return.

This was our first visit (wonât be our last). We were treated like valued, regular customers even though we had never been before. Excellent, attentive, friendly service and tasty well prepared food and plenty of it. The bill was not excessive either compared to similar establishments in the area. Highly recommended.

The waiter was very friendly and recommended our main courses. Hyderabadi dish was described as a "memorable dish" on the menu. Excellent flavour and mouthwatering lamb cubes in a medium tangy sauce. The restaurant is in a traditional village and the ambience reflects this. Very busy, difficult to book a table on the weekend as we tried on two occasions but could not get a table. So we booked a table on Thursday for a table on Saturday. Thank you Spice Society and we shall see you again soon

Cannot fault this place at all. The staff are amazing and really attentive and the food is delicious and affordable. Only recommendation would be to offer more dishes. Coming from an Indian family it would be great to see more dishes that I was brought up on.

Hawkyns by Atul Kochhar offers guests the opportunity to enjoy delicious Pan Indian cuisine. Diners can expect an array of colourful and delicately flavoured dishes. Madras spiced mackerel with mooli remoulade, fennel and apple; sea bass with bombay aloo
This is an exceptionally good Indian restaurant. We had eaten previously at Atulâs restaurants on cruise ships and in London and were blown away every time - the flavours , textures , innovations etc. This did not disappoint. Everything is just so well done . Iâm not going to single out any particular dish as I really believe itâs faultless. Itâs a 2 hour drive for us from the Midlands but we will return .
