Delightful hotel, highly recommend
Reviewed By pork2 seniors travelling by car. Hotel is easy to find. Secure parking, included close by. Rooms large enough, spacious, modern bathroom. Pool warm enough to swim in. Best breakfast we had in our travels. Staff gracious and helpful but didn’t know where Sierra Chincua for butterflies was. 1.5 hours away and north of Angangueo. Worth the drive. Will supply hair dryer if asked and can do translation on phone if limited Spanish. Found good restaurants on Main Street just less that 10 minute walk and felt safe walking at dark.

Peaceful, beautiful retreat
Reviewed By glenn80526Lovely quiet beautiful place( i don't want to call it a hotel, more like a retreat). Large beautiful grounds with some sheep and dear, very nice swimming pool, and it is nestled away from any busy roads or traffic. Recommend ubee into town, the hotel restaurant did not have very good food- in this small town probably best not to try to go to any fancy restaurants, but just try to find a local popular place.

Good Clean Basic Hotel
Reviewed By AnB_4everThis is a nice clean and basic hotel in Zitacuaro. It is close to the center, has good size rooms, with good bathrooms and hot water. They offer free continental breakfast with fresh cut fruit, bread and coffee or tea. It is a bit noisy in the morning once the kids get up and start running and yelling in the ateium, which acts as an excellent amplifier. We would stay there again if in Zitacuaro.

Reviewed By meljunebEven though there was really only 1 English speaker (sort of), that made it harder, but better too (who needs English anyway!) The staff were so friendly and accommodating and even one night I wanted a coffee and the restaurant was closed and one of the staff walked to a nearby restaurant and brought it back to me! Breakfast was simple, but good. The taxi driver they supplied ended up being my driver the whole time and was so helpful and friendly!! The room was wonderful, clean. I had a minor issue with the shower backing up, but it was fixed promptly. I can't wait to go back. I traveled solo (female, 40s) and felt at ease and safe. The butterflies and waterfalls were just as dreamy as I hoped if not more.

Very good experience at this hotel
Reviewed By flameforeverMy room was large, clean, and very comfy. It certainly was not cold either. Warm water was a challenge in the evenings but seemed to be fine at morning. Meals were average but sufficient. There is not much available in this town and I was more than happy with what was offered at this hotel. I felt safe the whole time as well.

A place to rest and retreat
Reviewed By Annyalexa10I just traveled with two of my friends to see the butterflies and decided to stay there. We were very pleased with this place, it was comfortable, clean, quite and beautiful, All the employees were super nice and helpful and the chef was outstanding, he even prepared for me a green juice that was not in the menu (Thank you for that) and all the food was delicious (Do yourself a favor and order the queso fundido). The little casita was so cute, clean and comfortable, the shower was clean and had hot water. You can walk or spend time outside next to the pool which was a beautiful space. We will totally go back and we highly recommend this place

The hotel is missing of a lot of things
Reviewed By Diana BThe hotel is nice but the service of the reception is very bad, also in the room, you can see the other bathroom of your neighborg , for have a hot water you need to wait 20 minutes, with the water running it is a big waste of water really it is sad to see this, and of course we tried to call the reception and the phone was unplugged, it dont work nothing, the room is clean, the noise in the street is all the night so try to choose one room far away of the street. The restaurant is cheap and good but be prepare for pass 1 hour waiting for your food.
