Prelepo mesto za odmor i uživanje svim čulima. Predivne brvnare. Fantastičan komfor. Izuzetno čisto i sređeno. Veoma ljubazno osoblje. Za svaku preporuku. Jedno od najboljih mesta za odmor na Žabljaku. Za mene i suprugu svakako najbolje.

SOA is 4 star hotel with high-quality service and environment, and is situated in the very heart of Zabljak tourist resort. The contemporary architecture with transposed elements of traditional architecture of the Mount Durmitor is a characteristic of the hotel’s style, which falls into four-star category. With its top quality service and amenities, the hotel invites guests to experience the unspoiled natural beauty in the surroundings of mountains, lakes, rivers and canyons in the National park Durmitor. The hotel Soa is situated on the first kilometer of the road towards the most visited attraction in Zabljak - Black Lake.
Excellent hotel. Amazing location. Close to everything and every attraction. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, delicious, cheap prices, pleasant to sit in the evening, excellent cocktails, excellent food, courteous waiters and exceptional service. The staff are excellent, welcoming, attentive, smiling, always ready to happily help. Ample parking. Excellent, varied, delicious breakfast. There is a possibility to use a Finnish sauna and a free hammam just need to book a place in advance, a clean and tidy place. Great room, large, clean and spacious. Quiet. The hotel has a lift. The hotel manager, Bojah, a charming, super pleasant and kind, cordial person, receives guests with excellent hospitality. Explains the whole area, the attractions including providing a free map and explanations and markings on it. Excellent Value for money. Recommended hotel, recommended, recommended.

We stayed in the 2 bed, sleeps 6 apartment. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 offspring who are young adults. On arrival we were met by a cheery (unusual in itself for Montenegro) young man who showed us in and took our money once we had checked we were happy to stay in the apartment. He owned/worked in a small travel agency where it is possible to book rafting etc. We didn’t see him again but knew where to find him if required and as we left early on our day of departure we simply left the apartment with the key inside. The apartment was basic but comfortable. The beds were sumptuously comfortable. The apartment is on the ground floor and it didn’t really get any sun so was on the cool side, even in August. Top of the advantages of staying at the Vukovic apartments is its central location. Zabljak is a splattering of many buildings in a higgledy piggledy fashion. The splattering spreads wide and far. It would be easy to mistakenly book accommodation that is not within easy walking distance of the ‘centre’ of Zabljak. As for facilities in the Vukovic ground floor apartment – there was only a cold water tap serving the bathroom sink although the bath and the kitchen sink had both hot and cold water and the hot was dangerously hot. The kitchen was basic and appliance even more so. Apart from the cooker, everything seemed clean enough. The fridge had a broken shelf in the door. Overall I would describe the apartments as old fashioned, rustic, cool, and cheap but with a great central location. You may be able to tell from the style of this review that I am not positively gushing or negatively criticising. The reason is that if you are looking a holidaying in Zabljak you are probably not the sort of person that wants a corporate style, all-inclusive 5 star break and so this basic ‘frontier of Europe’ destination’ may tickle your taste buds as something a little different. It certainly offers that but I can imagine some holidaymakers being put off by quite how different this area is, while others would be enthralled by just the same. The walks and views are absolutely brilliant. They are easy, accessible and as unspoilt as you will find in Europe. The roads are surprisingly good. Adhere to constantly changing speed limits. We came across 3 Police speed traps that were strictly enforced. We encountered one local who became fed up following my law-abiding husband (who’d read advice about speed traps) so overtook our car – we then saw him paying his fine to the police! Zabljak is 1,500metres above sea level and was cold on a few days. It was not unusual to see locals wearing puffa jackets and children wearing woolly hats even in August. Be prepared. I would be happy to answer questions on holidaying in Montenegro – we spent 24 hours in Dubrovnik, took a taxi into Montenegro where we spent a week in Dobrota after being ‘bounced’ from our booked apartment in Perast (owner advertises on this website), hired a car in Tivat, drove to Zabljak where we spent 5 days. We then drove back to Dubrovnik where we returned the car at the airport and flew home.

This camp spot was gorgeous. We stayed 1 night in the cabins, its basic accommodation but that's all you need. You come to this place of the world for its gorgeous nature and not a 5 star resort. We had everything we needed and loved our stay here. I recommend going white water rafting, although our rapids were only rated a 2, I think closer to winter they would have been much higher. But still, we enjoyed it. Jumping into the freezing cold water off a 7m cliff was exhilarating and so refreshing as it was so hot!! We had lunch after rafting and I got the fish - the best fish I've eaten was in Montenegro, the herbs and spices they make it with are great, try it! I wish we could have stayed longer to relax a bit more and just enjoy the serenity of the place. Star gazing at night was magical!! Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly, 10/10! :)

We had a lovely stay overnight at this apartment, and were provided with a lovely gift in the morning of a Montenegrin breakfast of local cheese, ham, honey and priganice ( think small fresh warm doughnut like creation). See my photo. A short drive uphill out of Zabljak.

The hosts were amazing, very friendly. We were made to feel very welcome! The apartment was very clean and had a nice balcony/seating area. The apartment was just a 5 minute walk to the centre of Zabljak. When we were leaving, we got the bus times wrong and the hosts let us stay for an extra 2 hours for the next bus. We really enjoyed our stay here.
