This hotel is lovely with such friendly staff. It did not feel like the normal kind of branded Hotel. I was given a very warm welcome and the staff for the 2 day stay were great. I had food in the pub across the way which again I was greeted with great staff and the food was really good as well. Highly recommend this Premier Inn. I will be back next year.

Booked by friends as we were doing a 3 night road trip. The room was lovely not the best of views (looking out on the extractor for the kitchen). Ticked all the boxes BUT I have stayed in cooler rooms in Asia and the noise was very loud too. No lie in available here as the extractor went on at 07:00. The window would not open to get some cooler air in so there was no point in using the dusty fan in the wardrobe. Think outside the box and include air conditioning in very hot rooms. The breakfast was good which made up for the mega hot and noisy room

What a fantastic day !! Can not thank Megan and her team enough. Professional, polite, efficient, helpful and always with a smile. Stayed two nights and rooms were great. Quite large, clean and a comfortable bed. The whole day went without a hitch thanks to the whole team effort. The evening DJ was brilliant. Really good with entertaining the small children until the adults imbibed enough to start dancing !! Special mention to the dancing queen Sonia who waited on but also joined in the merriment, thank you. Was also there at breakfast still with a smile, thank you. Thank you to all the staff, including front desk, who made it a very memorable day for all. Guests from Wales, Ireland, London and America enjoyed every moment which the fantastic organisation of your team definitely contributed to. ??

This hotel is a very old building so expect fixtures and fittings to not be up to scratch. However, the website only shows you a refurbished room which when you first enter it gives you a sense ‘ooh this is nice’. When you open the bathroom door you then get a wow moment. Don’t be fooled. This room is all style with no substance. If you have time, having a shower is long and frustrating. The hot water takes an absolute age to come through. You can actually brush your teeth while you are waiting. Then when the water does get hot it trickles from the shower head with absolutely no power at all. Our family’s room was tired and let’s not even discuss the state of the shower in their room. Nobody wanted to even use it!
